- Generator not running? it could be the carburetor stopped up. I go over how to clean the jets on a small engine generator.

This thing got us through the Texas freeze a few years back and Beryl the week. Take care of it, this thing takes a beating and keeps going.
@@Mr_jw that’s outstanding and great feedback! Thank you for the comment!
Hi can you share its uses and capabilities that have worked best for you . I’m in magnolia tx btw and curious if this is good for window unit and chest freezer .Thank you kindly!
@@rockyjones5815 one of the big selling points is its dual fuel option. You can store propane fairly easily and it’s a great option to have. While everyone is hunting for gasoline, propane is often plentiful. Having as many options for fuel in a crisis is paramount.
Nice and clean for 4 years old, I drain mine after each use also I all make sure the spark plug is clean.
Very smart! Yeah mine only gets ran 2-3 times a year and stays in a fairly climate controlled area. Thank you for the comment brother and appreciate you watching!
Thanks for the vid. This helped solve the issue with my generator wouldn’t start.
Man that’s awesome! I’m glad it helped!
Good video. Thanks again from all of us engine illiterates.
I really appreciate that! And if you have questions about something or I didn’t make it clear enough I’ll be happy to try and get you squared away the best I can! Thank you again!
Excellent video thanx
Thank you brother!
What spark plug ya got in yours? I have the same generator. I wanna upgrade to alot better spark plug that it came with
Mine still has the factory spark plug in it. I need to pull it and see what NGK plug crosses out with it. But so far I’ve not had issues with the factory plug.
@@preparedcitizens ahhh cool
How many hours can the generator run at half load on a single 15 lbs propane tank?
I have not even tried mine with the propane yet so I honestly don’t know. I will definitely update when I do give it a shot. Or hopefully someone else may see this a let us know! Thank you for watching!
10 to 12 hours per tank, depending on the load. I just used mine this weekend because in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, we lost power for 4 days in scattered spots. I use only propane since day one. It's just a little too loud after awhile but it's saved me a few times already.
@@lcssay awesome info! And I agree with the noise. With the price of these I guess that’s just nature of the beast. But it gets the job done. Thank you for commenting and answering that question!
How do you drain the gasoline for this model?
@@amanisamer it will be out of the bowl on bottom of the carburetor. There is a screw with a hose directly below it. If it’s good gas that isn’t old you can drain it into a container to use it for something else. If it’s old and you’re not sure if it’s good you may want to just dispose of it. Hope that helps.
Is this generators engine a honda clone?
I am not sure but that wouldn’t surprise me. A lot of cheaper generators that work decent are using Honda clone motors. Sorry I’m no more help on that. I tried googling it and couldn’t find a definite answer.
@@preparedcitizens yup I've spent hours searching myself when I do find out I will make a video
@@williamvaughan1218 awesome! Keep us posted!
