Oh how exciting! It's been so fun canning; I wish I grew up with mentors to show me, because I would of started way before 55 y/o... I do know if you think you have any issues with your lid (gauge problems or if you accidentally drop it); All American company states to send it to them and they will test it. I am sure you'd have to pay but at least they will do it. I've been told they will let you know if it is okay or if you need replacement. Just keep that in mind if you ever have those issues.
