  • not 100% if it was king of the skatepark but it is a hefty gathering of bmxers at romford, especially in the performance bowl. the park looks drenched but looks like they dried it out a bit to session. it may have been the day bob haro and mike dominguez were supposed to demo there (typical british weather) if it wasn't king of the skatepark. anyway, enjoy it for what it is. see if you recognise any of the old school legends style in there..

Thanks for uploading this. At 3:26 that is me and a friend in the crowd. This was the day I got Bob Haro and Mike Dominguez's autographs on my Rom skate park ticket, which I still have. Good ole days.

Wow, that's awesome! Pretty rare to find yourself on a video online. How young were you back then?

catchpsk Agreed. I'm 17 but I find the 80s and 90s to hold many great memories and nostalgia. These videos online are fun and interesting to watch.
May I have a question? If yes, what were some of your fondest memories of those days?

I remember this day like it was yesterday although 34 years ago. I was there somewhere in sea of kids and bikes . We went in an old bus from Chelmsford. I remember it for sure being wet , and later bob Haro did come out and ride for a bit. My mushroom handle grips got soaked and slipped of my cw's and i smacked my chin. LOts of great memories there as a kid , used to skate there too > Any one remember Andy Pierce On his roller skates in ice hockey pads > monster of a man . He used to rip the park to pieces. ROM

This wasn't KIng of the Skateparks as that was dry - this was definately the day Dominguez and Eddie Fiola were meant to be doing a demo there as I remember it well and it was very wet - so much so that they wouldn't ride (wimps). The guys riding the Performance Bowl are: Ralph Tribe (cream jacket & dayglo helmet)... I know that because that's me!!... then Damon Nichols (red helmet), Tony Mac (brown jacket), Steve Baldry (tall bloke) and Jess Dyrenforth. Nice one.
    Cheers Ralph

Weirdo to think those kids riding around are fully grown adults now and most likely have kids of their own, wonder if half these people know there’s a video of them on the internet

Yes those were the days me at 5:44 was a little scared due to the wet surface getting any air. I remember going to Jess Dryrenforth house top of the hill, Kentish town i think he had a ramp in his back yard

My era, I was 13 at the time and rode there every couple of weeks in between racing with the Woodham warriors. Also raced there, but track was not great so the great attraction was riding the bowls in between races.
