Other dreadnought types can spawn on non-elimination missions. Imagine my surprise when the twins pop up from nowhere in the middle of a mining expedition, while everyone on my team has no ammo, on one of my first haz 4 missions.
The "Big Bertha" overclock should be an overclock you and for everybody should take, because compared to the hurricane 🌀 missile guidance rocket launcher, the maximum ammunition you could take for that weapon is 360 missiles, ignoring the new rocket barrage overclock having 576 maximum amount of ammunition in the gun. Big Bertha overclock with the ammo modification in tier one gives you more direct damage and even though you have lees ammo, it has more ammo than the missiles. 550 rounds into the gun. More ammo than the maximum amount of ammunition available in the hurricane!
Ice spear for driller is also really good. It’s basically hyper propellent. If you freeze a dread and hit them with hyper propellant you could probably 3 or 2 shot them. But with ice spear you can’t really freeze and spear unless there another source of cryo
While I agree that the hiveguard is the most tedious dreadnought, me and the friend I play with the most has pretty mich developed a strategy to take down the hiveguard within 3 minites purely with teamwork and weapon usage. We both take out the sentinels, he tales out the spores from long range while i circle around it and breach cutter the weak spot
For the glyphid dreadnought, I don’t know why, but it’s always only the boss I die on. It’s mainly due to running out of ammo and having no nitra. Also with the hive guard notes - not saying you’re wrong, but you’re wrong
The sentinels on solo are almost impossible for their weakspot to be hit unlike praetorians since praetorians can spray acid poison at you and do not pivot while they do that attack whereas sentinels always pivot!
Another way for the dreadnought hiveguard fight to be less tedious is that it would be harder on each phase. The prospector drone and the korlok tyrant weed have three stages of the fight with a rinse and repeat cycle, and the weed has the healing pod that is never in the first stage of the battle.(🔄) The hiveguard’s attack pattern is the exact same as at the beginning.
My idea for the hiveguard’s attack patterns are with the three fireball pattern is season one type, (each fireball is shot every 1.5 seconds three times) season two and later is each from about 0.8 to 1.35 seconds. What I would have to make it more better is that on the first phase, he only shoots the first type of three fireball attacks every one minute in between each, and on the second phase he uses the other type of fireball attacks for every 15 seconds and have the first type shots every 30 seconds and with a brand new move called the trembling stomp attack just like the normal glyphid dreadnought, and it’s animation is really slow at first, it launches dwarves 30m per second into the air if stomped both horizontal and vertical directions. And the back of the enemy and the three weak point spores have a heavy Armor plate protecting its Weakspot, which when broken will make the hiveguard go into a frenzy mode charging you super fast, then on the third, he uses those fireballs much more frequently and the stomp attack animations significantly speed up.
@@FangDRSH I've always had a habit to bunny hop everywhere to dodge attacks so lead storm isn't as difficult to workaround when you make it a habit and the dmg is so worth it.
The dreadnought hiveguard’s three weak points are flipped open when they are vulnerable. They are closed when invulnerable. I wish there is a glitch that made you cheat and hit the weak spots when closed.
The lacerator’s slam attack with the burrowing and then coming back under your feet will burrow in different way then when they burrowed down into the ground just to move somewhere else from you and avoid taking any damage.
Pro tip: one shot the twins so they don regen health
Difficulty? One shot it ! Easy
The twins heal up a huge chunk of their health on the bar whilst the other one is depleted by a little bit
Pro tip: use your gun
God damn it i knew i was doing something wrong, thanks for the tip man!!
@@lukebee1152 pro tip : to start the match walk into the drillship

Yeah I had a Hiveguard spawn on me once, thankfully it was a haz 3 mission.
any dreadnought can spawn outside of elimination missions
Dude I don't know how I've never seen it happen then. I've played thousands of missions now and never have seen that.
@@HotPocketEnjoyer Have you played deep dives?
@@moustachio05 yes
I've been jumped by a glyphid dreadnought on aquarq mining
Same here, and I had no ammo left and all my teammates were down so I got that rare achievement 😂.
there's also a thing with hiveguard that it likes wandering around for a bit or sometimes not a bit before spawning the first bunch of sentinals

I hope we get new dreadnoughts in s5, a mactera dreadnought could be cool
Mactera boss that has a attack similar to cave leech, "fuck this dwarf is particular"
I'd hoped for a lithophage dread in season 4 but that seems unlikely
With driller hiveguard is fast

What do you mean one exception on elimination?
Even more pro tip: ROCK AND STONE!!!!
Pretty good video, could have been more concise and the stuttering/erm/repeating of words was a little annoying. Be more confident

Bosco doesn’t care if he has to kill the arbalest first before lacerator. He just kills whoever is closest and in most danger of the dwarves!
I got called out within the first minute of the video 😭
The Glyphid dreadnought can use those fireballs that spawn swarmers even if the weak point shell on covered up
And the Glyphid dreadnought does not care if there are reinforcements in the way when he is doing the trembling stomp attack

What if you jump up, and shoot them from above.
I thought the twins only healed if one’s health got significant percent lower than the other (and you could avoid it by damaging them equally).
That in second phase, in first phase no matter what once you get both of them down low enough they’ll heal eachother and start their second phase
LETSS GOOOOOO
Very good thank you
I don't wanna be that guy but please retake when you need to
I know, this is one of my older videos where I thought “lemme do this in one take, when I should have just done multiple retakes

We really need new dreadnaughts. Not even dreadnaughts, just one. They just added the sting tail, maybe something similar to that

another engie overclock thats super good is cycle overload, it can take nearly half their health away in 1 clip, its pretty crazy
