Speaking of Lorule's Triforce, the fact that Lorule was beginning to become corrupted when it was destroyed may indicate that its balance between the Force and Anti-Force has been disrupted. There was no more Force to counteract the Anti-Force, so everyone was slowly turning into monsters and demons as if they possessed great amounts of Anti-Force. So maybe an alternate Anti-Triforce exists somewhere, or else Anti-Force is the default for any world. After all, the Goddesses created the world from a primordial chaotic state.
Very cool concept
here is my reason for why those evil resurrection rituals needed the light force to succeed: the dark force can only destroy and corrupt, they needed to get the light force to heal and restore.
Link has shown the potential of a person of Light that uses dark powers. In MM, TP, ALttP, ALbW, when exposed or access to dark powers he uses it to his advantage, just like Midna uses the Fused Shadow or how Zelda in ST can enter Phantoms. That makes me imagine how a playable character in the future masters dark powers for the greater good.
Really interesting theory and it makes a lot of sense of why 'an evil force even exists in the Zelda Series.' There is a lot of references to opposing forces expressed through characters and places in the series - Hylia and Demise, Zelda and Midna (Midna comes across as bold and impulsive in game however Zelda is wise and self-sacrificing for the greater good), Hero of Time Link (acts with courage and duty and Ganondorf (acts with great power and destruction), through places it is also obvious - Hyrule and Termina (parallel world), Hyrule (light world) and The Twilight Realm (dark world) and Hyrule (light world) and Lorule (dark world) as well as hints in Zelda 'A link between worlds' that the 'Dark World' from A Link to the Past is 'Lorule' in the direct sequel.
The reference to the flames with negative qualities in Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages is something I've not noticed before and it makes sense that a polar opposite exists to the sacred flames in Skyward Sword.

We know "anti-Force" can be converted back into force. Phantom hour glass had two occasions where that happened. The first was with the Ocean Lord's life stolen life force being converted by Beldum into Monsters being converted into the sands of hours which was then converted back to his life force and Tetra's lifeforce being converted back into her own lifeforce in the game. Now the argument could be made that those two's life forces were in the process of being converted and the process stopped reverting it back into it's original form but that doesn't make sense.
Well Demise himself seems to be a professional in bringing out people’s weakest traits. He showed them to Link of the Sky in one fell swoop by tossing Zelda. Link was about to stupidly run away from the massive hulking form to aid someone that is not him creating a weakness. 1 movement. 3 weaknesses exploited immediately. And this is the balanced Link of the Sky. Strongest of the Links to date.
By my guess judging by the interlopers in that cutscene with the fused shadows, their goal was to corrupt the triforce it seems. I can guess even the triforce can be corrupted. Link of the Sky is a perfect balance of the virtues. And the interlopers likely had a candidate who was balanced in the antithesis of that.
I hope Dark Link turns out to be that candidate. That’d be one hell of a great final boss.
They did specifically illustrate there being 3 individuals. Perhaps 1 for each piece? Certainly there must be individuals who are balanced for the opposite reasons. And perhaps there has been an era where freaks roamed from balanced wishes in the name of darkness. Like the creation of Bellum, Malladus, or other large forces of darkness throughout the series. I think Majora is the Queen of the interlopers. Not a creation made by them.
Yes the Triforce is said to not differentiate between good and evil. It will simply grant control as long as it's wielder can balance the 3 parts. If that person is a demon, then yes the Triforce would serve a corrupted purpose, which would likely end the world and any hope for human life which is why Hylia is needed to defend it.
@@Zeldom and no matter how you look at it, creatures like Bellum, Malladus, and others have no purpose to walk the earth and are nothing like Demise. Just wanted destruction. Very little thought in their head. So I could believe those creatures are in fact actually wished off the triforce. And because it’s pure in the antithesis to the virtues they can’t develop their own virtues. And Demise can. As can Majora. (She can talk and think for herself) Fascinating no? Makes you wonder if Demise actually had a wish or just wanted to take the virtues so no one else could have them so the world was easier to exploit.
I think the interlopers just wanted to claim the triforce for themselves, using their dark magic. I don't think they intended to corrupt it, or at least, nothing in the cutscene points towards it. Thus, no need for any candidate of darkness
@@f.-x.cardin6965 I thought that because they made the fused shadow completely surround and engulf it, I took it as either replacing the triforce or corrupting it. Because when it was sealed, the regular triforce didn’t remain.
I do hope those interlopers are explored more in the future. I find them very interesting. Granted at this point in the timeline, they are all dead since Midna is only a descendant of them. (Though I still speculate the Garo and Majora are still connected on the outside)

My theory is that back when the world of Hyrule was being formed, before the triforce was established. Din, Farore and Nayru for some reason ended up creating Goddess Hylia and another entity with the masculine traits Hylia does not have. And somehow Hylia was elected to guard the triforce in a way that this masculine god was treated as refuse. My guess is that they're both trapped in this existance and the goddesses made this to be a win-lose game between this god and this goddess. Now he was stripped from all glory and light and chose to affirm his wounded dignity by erasing Hylia. So then we have the plot of the first game, SKyward Sword.

Yes Demise is part of a Trinity in Lorule, along with Malladus and Majora. I have a long theory to support this, but I'm not home now. Maybe will share later.

No I think that Lorules Triforce is a legit true triforce of it's own. Lorule is something like a parellel dimension with a opposite theme, but not a demonic world of anti-force. That is what it becomes after it's triforce is destructed and balance is gone. Anti-Force is more like a balancing counterpart of nature. The goddesses created the world, but the godesses aren't part of the world. So the world isn't where the force is coming from. Likely Anti-Force isn't comig from a parallel world. There must be a Realm of pure Force, where the godesses came from, take some of this power to create mundane reality, that is controlled by the influence Force and Anti-Force take on them. That the world is created by the powers of the force it is logical, that the force preserves it's best nature, and the anti-force, if it becomes too strong, causes imbalance what takes its toll in a crumbeling of the world.
So if we think there is a realm from what the godesses and the force hail from, I would say there is clearly a demonic realm, where the power of Anti-Force comes from and that is chaotic and destructive in nature. And clearly if force is manifesting in a mundane world through the creation performed by the godesses, entities of a demonic realm, to fullfill their nature role of balance in batteling, destroying or corrupting the creations of the force, invade this creation.
So in the world of Hyrule there is a ever shifting fragile balance of Force and Anti-Force. If Force is a little bit stronger, the land flourishes, but is stagnant, boring, there is no need for heroes and also grow lazy and reckless give the evil opportunities to get stronger. but if there is a imbalance causing by growing influence of anti-force there are destruction, despair, sorrow and chaos, but also change and the need for our heroes Link to intervene and reshifting the balance in favor of the force.
I think demise laid eyes on this world, that was created by the force and wanted to take it. Take the powers he can consume and lay destruction to the order and the harmony the godesses build, that are so opposite to his own nature. So with him he brought his malice and the tribes of demons we know.
You just gave me a cool idea. What do you think of if a bad guy used those anti-Force flames to forge the Sword of Good's Bane. An evil Master Sword. What happened to Ghirahim after Demise's death? He could make a for a solid base as the sword's spirit.
(Courage =afflicting Sorrow onto others, Wisdom = Mindless Destruction, and Power = Despair people lose all hope and despair)
in an interview the seal on the demons in tears of the kingdom is explained to be that the shrines purifies the dark power of demons the lights of blessing are purified demon magic the dark power and light power can be converted between eachother

Ganon's transformation into malice is completely different. The definition of malice is ill-intent, intention to harm, hatred. Ganon is an incarnation of Demise's hatred, so the curse says, they world of Hyrule is tied to infinite incarnations of that ancient demonic hatred. And that is what Ganon is. An echo of it. Of hatred, of malice. Ganondorf too. Ganondorf is in its essence hatred. And Calamity Ganon is a collection of hatred goo made physical, because of how strong it is. Developing a lust for power in those characters is just them following their spiritual nature.
What is completely unanswered, though, is why does Demise hated Hylia SO MUCH? What happened?

Other than BotW2, what Zelda game would you like to see on the Switch? It is the 35th anniversary, so I’m hoping they release OoT, Majora’s, and Twilight Princess in a collection like they did with the Mario collection last year.
Well other than that and Skyward Sword HD that was recently announced I'd really love to have another MM remake, or at least a port. For a bundle like the mario allstars Id probably think OoT, MM, and TP would be awesome since their stories connect so well

Nice theory! It is strangely compelling... I'd love to see a less manichean version of it though. This might just be me, because i tend to get bored with traditional Good vs Evil stories and prefer ones with more complex and/or ambiguous rivalries, but I don't think we should see the light force and dark force as good and evil. I'll try quickly making a prototype theory. First off, let's put in place our actors. Malice truly is the most reocuring antagonist, and seems to be part of a set of 3, as suggested by the BotW2 trailer. (Malice, sheikah tech and green runes, wich can be linked to the three goddesses). If Malice is Evil, and another of those three equates to the Force, aka Good, what would be done of the third actor, if it were a Good vs Evil situation? So I suggest that there are three (whatever you might call them) "sides", "natures" or "elements" (perhaps with one being inactive, forgotten or siding with another), and a single, neutral, life Force, which can be used by/for all three. All divine flames would be "pure", as in life Force converted into the simplest form of "elements". Then why is malice "evil"? What are the anti divine flammes? In OoT, it is suggested that the triforce doesn't differentiate good from evil. If someone with a pure heart touches it, the world will prosper. If someone corrupted touches it, it will plunge into chaos, meaning that the same power has potential for both. But also, it shows there IS a certain form of duality. There could be a "pure" and a "corrupted" version of each element, without creating a fight between Good and Evil, because the fight is between our three actors. For instance, Zelda uses the triforce of Wisdom for pure magic, but we see Yuga use it to generate corrupted magic. Quick recap: we have a neutral Force, used by three different sides/elements (lets say Din/Nayru/Farore teams), wich can be used in a "pure" or "corrupt" way. And it makes sense that the "elements" that created life and order (Nayru/Farore) have a tendency for purity, and the one that created the ground (Din) doesn't have such an interest, and prefers the "corrupt".
(I'm sorry if this theory is no good, I made it pretty quickly, and I have peculiar theories on the goddesses which i believe in a bit too much, so it might alter my resoning. The point is, i love your theory, but yearn for a non-manichean alternative to satisfy my peculiar needs)

I totally agree with your point. The good and evil thing can get so bland and nowadays we really enjoy more complex forces. Unfortunately in Zelda we don't have too much of that. This is my interpretation of the facts I presented in the earlier videos so of course there are other interpretations as well, but still Zelda really is a good vs evil story. However yes I think I can try to spin another theory in the future to fit a more complex narrative
