The whole beginning monologue was a bit of me. Heading out of 2 years of surgery/chemo/radiation and now I’m like… putting effort into a life outside of the whole medical bubble. Doing therapy and eating well and etc. and while it’s exhausting right now I know it will be worth it! That encouragement was just what I needed though! Xx
I loved this video because I found that after all I’d been through in my life, I was just so serious and wasn’t living in the moment! I’ve made my resolution this year to “act my age” aka let myself be more spontaneous, and do things simply because I love them. Seeing this really reminded me of that goal! ❤❤❤

I feel like mental health is such a journey, I feel like I go up and down and sometimes I just go with the ride rather than carving out time for me to really get into issues or just have self care. I have two daughters very similar ages to yours and I finally feel like the fog is lifting and there is less demand on my mental capacity for others. I’m finally tip toeing into self care and delving into what it is I need in this season.
Not to get into the nitty-gritty of it, but I think it’s okay to like two “conflicting” things at the same time, as long as they both bring you joy then I wouldn’t give a woolly wotsit what anyone else thinks

But because you were with great friends and family and so intently focused on your happiness, you spun all that chaotic energy into something exciting, vibrant, and joyful! I'm always relieved to hear that I'm not the only one who's confused about directions! Google Maps is so helpful but I regularly stare at it and have no idea what it means or where to go. I usually end up saying "okay I'll start walking this direction and if I get to Road A that means I'm going the right way and if I get to Road B then I need to turn around 😅 Also if someone wants to open a "crystals and chips" shop that is my dream and I would promise to visit as often as I could - eating potatoes while looking at pretty rocks sounds amazing! And I tried to get into the LoA a few years ago and I couldn't figure it out and I decided it wasn't working for me, but recently I've been realizing how big of a difference just being in a good mood makes! People are friendlier! Nicer things happen! I feel better! I notice the good stuff! I think I was making it too difficult, and it's nice to hear that things are getting brighter for you, too! 💜

You make SUCH sense in your chat about your state of mind and mental health. That really resonated with me. I've had this realisation recently that I've been allowing myself to get so lost and caught up in my relationship with my partner (we don't have children). I was just getting so invested in everything and we'd argue SO much because of how intensely invested I was in everything he was doing as an individual that I forgot about myself. I forgot that I am allowed to be an individual too and do things that I like and want to do just because they make me feel good. I NEED to live my own life too as well as love my life with my partner. I definitely did get lost a bit and swept up in my relationship because I had very little other focus points in my life but I realized if I want them, I have to make them. They disappeared for a reason and that reason was I just stopped trying to make them happen because I was SOOOO focused on my relationship. Being focused on and invested in your relationships isn't a bad thing, I care so much for my partner, like you said Louise, I'd lay down my life for him. But that doesn't mean I have to wait around until he needs me to do that - I can and more importantly, NEED to live MY life too Xx
Honestly, if you didn't apologize for the chaotic energy, I wouldn't even have noticed it. It was just a vlog with a lot of bits and a lot of happy moments. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it's that we should enjoy our time here while we have it. And what makes us happy doesn't have to make sense to anyone else and doesn't require anyone else's approval. 🥰
Can I recommend danceworks to Darcy for ballet classes? I find the floors of the studios so much better and the atmosphere really lovely! It’s near Bond Street and is the same drop in vibe as pineapple dance studios x

Honestly, if you didn't apologize for the chaotic energy, I wouldn't even have noticed it. It was just a vlog with a lot of bits and a lot of happy moments. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it's that we should enjoy our time here while we have it. Can I recommend danceworks to Darcy for ballet classes? I find the floors of the studios so much better and the atmosphere really lovely! It’s near Bond Street and is the same drop in vibe as pineapple dance studios x
