It’s not new. They have operated turbo props out of torontos island airport for years, they just moved into Pearson with the jets though as the city would not let them expand the island runway as needed for the jets
i flew with them to go to halifax with a stopover in montreal on the way there and a stopover in ottawa back to toronto. i remember how the newer GE engines were so quiet as compared to the last time i flew on a jet plane. from ottawa back to toronto, i flew back into billy bishop airport so i got the experience of both types of aircraft that they use! however, the smaller one didn't have the free wifi onboard probably since it was an older airplane and a shorter flight.
I see a lot of similarities between Porter and Breeze here in the US. I certainly would not mind booking a trip on Porter, any aircraft with a 2-2 configuration is the way to go. I agree 100% it's more comfortable than the 737 and A320 family of aircraft.
Porter is well positioned to be Canada’s best domestic and transborder airline. They will need to expand their fleet with CFM powered (not PW) A320 neo aircraft. Then they can compete on the Hawaii routes. Their E2 jets are only ETOPS 120 certified and they need to be ETOPS 180 to fly passengers from Canada to Hawaii. Joining an alliance like Skyteam or OneWorkd is also crucial. Then they can properly compete meaningfully with Air Canada and WestJet who are on a race to the bottom to try and kill off Canada’s last remaining ultra low cost carrier Flair.
Porter Airlines was actually the first customer to ACTUALLY buy the Canadian made Bombardier 300 now Airbus 220, until HUGE TARIFFS from White House Squatter DUMP killed the plan to support American made which killed him cause they sold to Airbus.
Meh. Nothing special about Porter, and plenty of horror stories online where customers weren't able to get support. The only thing slightly nicer is the 2+2 seating arrangement of the aircraft. But you know, informercials like this one keep getting pumped out by the Porter PR team.
Great video. I would love to try to fly an Embraer, especially the EJ195.
And me too!
28:37 oh wow its the Air Canada 787 which also came from Toronto. Two Toronto bound planes meeting up at Phoenix that's cool.
Porter Airlines looks like a very nice airline !
Embraer is really amazing ❤
Great video, thanks for sharing. I've always enjoyed my experiences on Porter Airlines.
I’ve flown this airline to Orlando back in May and it’s a very nice new airline!

@@zach1415I mean new fleet
Great vid
Awesome review!
Esse avião é o meu preferido !
Very nice video
Really enjoy the fixed camera wing action. I try to include the full engine if possible for better affect.
From -10 to+25 in a few hours. Congrats❤

Nice trip report.
Also would you fly Korean Air's 787-10?
Was this Embraer E195-E2 aircraft firstly de-iced before take-off roll?.
other than the size of the windows and the seating config any other differences between the 195-E2 and the BCS-200/300
why was your window frosting up?
nice to see a plane with no winglets
Unfortunately Porter only flies to Toronto from Calgary where I live.
What a shame a hot meal was not available and that was too much ice on your window, I hope you mentioned that to the crew!!!!!
And the squick inside the airplane on the ground even a slow.speed
As far as the windows, the spacing and aligning or not? That is my only dislike of the E aircraft line

I wouldn't know, they don't serve Houston (IAH). Come to me and I'll give y’all a try.

Toronto Canada but Phoenix Arizona. So I guess this video is just for Americans. Got it.
Why does it sound like this guy is wearing flip flops or Crocs? So not appropriate for civilized air travel.
this has gotta be satire 😂😂
😅
