This story has reminded of my son. I gave birth to him at Coptic hospital. Due to complications he had to be admitted at Nairobi hospital. I had a CS and I was taken home. Everyday I used to express milk and baby daddy would take the milk to hospital. Two weeks later he walked into the house and talked to his mum and then walked out without talking to me or my mom. A few minutes later my mother in law walked into the sitting room and casually said... The boy is dead... The doctors could not manage the situation. My heart rejected this information and I quickly called my brother who works close to Nairobi hospital. I was crying hysterically. Can you imagine that he found my son being moved to the general ward and he was healthy and whole. I thank God for the doctor who told baby daddy that even if I was sick, blind deaf or paralyzed.. I would be the one to stay with my son in the general ward.
As I share this only God knows who I would have buried and where my son would have been growing at...
Today we are 9yrs and I am as protective as I can be around my kids ...
I did forgive them but when I think of how cruel life can be... This narration has just conjured up the spirit of my dead goat.

If schools in Kenya have a database. They can use the new name she found under cheges birth certificate and see if he is registered in a school. He definitely goes to school and from the story I believe he is alive. The lady needs closure and our justice systems are so corrupt. The judge that gave the boys seven years knows more about this. No normal human being would give judgement while the boy hasn't been found dead or alive.

Lynn, my conscience is telling me Chege is still alive and that Chege's mother, Tabitha is telling the truth. Her child was never killed. The father knows where the son is hidden. That body thrown at the shamba was not Chege's.

If the father, in deed, kidnapped his son to make the mother suffer, then so many crimes were committed in this case:
1. Kidnapping
2. The unlawful use of a cadaver (also fraud). Don't forget they butchered the cadaver before throwing it to be found by the family (aaaaaai this part is so crazy)
3. Colluding with morgue attendants to alter information about the body and misplace the other body.
4. Changing the kid's birth certificate
So many crimes here! How can one person get away with all these crimes?

I watched her story on "wamuhuja" channel... I feel bad for her till now hajajua where her son is... Yaani huyu mama alikuwa amezaa na munyama surely? I still have a strong feeling her Ex~husband knows whereabout ya huyo mtoi and he's alive... Sending hugs mama, it doesn't matter how long it will take, he's your son and one day you will reunits....
Our justice system is like a garbage market where justice is being sold like a kilo of shopping bags. Ministry of education can use the new name she found under chege's birth certificate, I'm 100% sure the boy is alive and the dad is behind all this. Don't give up the fight, it's not yet done. The judge, mortuary attendant and the doctors need to be questioned,they know it all and they need to face full force of the law. Unaweza funga mtu aje for kidnapping yet the victim hajapatikana??? That shows how corrupt our justice system is.

saw this story somewhere else some time back and sad to see her pain and search continues in vain. Uchungu wa mwana kweli ajuaye in mama... also heartbreaking that it has become business as usual to disappear innocent kids and murder others. also disturbing and most shocking that the authorities were not interested in establishing whose child had been dismembered (the child whose torso had been 'planted' as Chege). A girl disappeared from the fathers care in Western Uganda close to 10 years ago and the girl was found in Kampala this year in the care of her mother's friend.
The mother lives in South Africa and she was meeting all the maintenance fees of her child.
