Great video and thank you! You could also upgrade to a keg sprayer end as well as they hook up with standard fittings so only replacing the end of the hose that connects to the IK. Flexzilla makes a nice swivel connect!
daaaaang. Game changer. Love the step by step. Agreed, the original hose is extreeeeeemely limiting. I wonder if any 1/4 flexible hose with a compression fitting will work. I don't know why that hose is almost $50 in canada (yes, the version without the couplers). Ill put it on price alert
Great upgrade and video Will. Any idea of the size of the ends that screw into IK ?can the adapters inside the IK hose be purchased separately ?for anyone that doesn’t want to disassemble the IK hose. I know in the video you were unaware of the size at that time. Thanks keep the useful tips coming.
Awesome video Will, with extremely clear explanations too!! I think that’s a great upgrade that allows you to keep the IK stationary while you have access to the whole front/sides or rear/sides of the car so you only have to move it once (at most twice). If ever I get one, for sure I’m doing that upgrade!
@ 😮 wow! You responded! 🤗 you are awesome I like your videos so so much they are just so chill and calm. Thank you so much for being one of the good guys!
Nice video. As far as removing the fittings from the old IK hose, presuming you're going to trash the old hose, would it be easier to cut the ends off the hose so you could slide the fittings down the hose and not have to deal with the flaired ends of the hose?
Thanks! For sure! Even if you just cut off half an inch of the hose, the rest can still be reused! I definitely wish I had done that to prevent the plastic o ring from breaking. Although putting them on the new hose is still a challenge. Thanks for watching and the suggestion!
Yeah. Just thought of something that might help. What if you used a zip tie on the flanged end of the new hose and used that to compress the end so you could slip the o-ring over? Then, cut the zip tie after.
I would like to say yes but the Flexzilla hose ends do have a mushroom shape that will not be available if you cut the hose. However, I don't know if that even matters. As long as the fittings can stay on the hose then it should be fine. Thanks for watching!
Great mod. If you were to cut off the ends of the hoses, the bit that gets widened, you might be able to get that delicate washer off without splitting it.
To save more money just by a run of the hose (length you want from a bulk roll) split the cost with friends and have a upgrade party 🎉 Flexzilla Pro Air Hose, Bulk Plastic Spool, 1/4 in. x 250 ft, Heavy Duty, Lightweight, Hybrid, ZillaGreen - HFZ14250YW
Best mod in years!!! The original hose is horrible. Don’t understand why IK doesn’t have a better solution. Great job on helping others, thanks 😊
Thanks!! Totally agreed! The hose hose is so much nicer and easier to maneuver with! Thanks for watching!

My Man! I've been thinking about this mod, and now you've given me the courage to do it myself.
@@theunkownmr.562 I’m glad it helps! Hopefully you can enjoy this mod too! Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for watching!
Great job! Can’t wait to change my hose. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks Bruce!! I'm excited to see other people with the same hose upgrade! I honestly wouldn't mind if the new hose is only 10ft instead of 25ft.
@@willsridecareI was just thinking I’ll order and cut that hose down a bit.
Great upgrade and video! Now how about a wand / gun upgrade?
I definitely need to get that hose now

@@hawke525 haha thanks Sean! Many people asked about this!😂
It looks like you are first for this mod. Nice.
Not sure but I couldn't find anyone who has done this when I was looking if it can be done, thanks for watching!

great video Will, there is a part where I cringe were using the knife, you should never cut into your hand
Thanks!! You're right, should have been more careful with the blade! Thanks for watching!

Hi Will, what do you use to edit your videos and generate your thumbnails, thanks!
I use DaVinci Resolve for editing videos and Figma to put together thumbnails! Thanks for watching!
7:17 my foam one handle doesnt look like that one at all but like a normal handle like the right side one. Weird.
Would this also work with a 10 foot flexzilla hose?
Of course, as long as it's the same size as the 25ft air hose I have linked in the description!
Can the Flexilla hose be shortened as a part of this mod?
I would like to say yes but the Flexzilla hose ends do have a mushroom shape that will not be available if you cut the hose. However, I don't know if that even matters. As long as the fittings can stay on the hose then it should be fine. Thanks for watching!

I can confirm that the old "hose" are indeed stiff. 7:48
Stiff for sure! Thanks for watching!
