@@antispindr8613People telling everyone else how to live their lives, just so they can get some kind of feeling of power, that's the problem right there...
The worst are motorways. 70mph limits which were set because cars back in the days the laws were written were, quite frankly, shit. Brakes were shit, power was non existent and so on. BUT, even WORSE than 70mph limits are "smart" motorways and dropping limits down to 40-50mph at random. It's so dangerous having constant limit changes imo. The UK is making driving an absolute nightmare to do (i have theories as to why but wont rant about it lol). I commented about Italy in a previous video but it's so much nicer to drive here, they don't punish you for every little thing. Funny thing is, i saw more crashes on a trip from Leeds to Oxford in the 5 hours it took me due to traffic than i have in the whole time i've been out here (10ish years). Again, i have theories as to why this is.
Rant over! Back onto the ZH2 into the country for you young man! That's my diagnosis, lol (Totally agree with everything you said, 20mph past a primary school, yes, everywhere else, no)
Aside from a school zone, it is unrealistic. Brakes and tires for both cars and bikes have made giant advancements in the time the boomer has existed. 25mph is residential here in the states.
Much as I hate to say it but the days of personal motorised transport are limited. Everything that is done is to make driving an ICE vehicle as irritating as possible so we have to resort to walking/cycling or non-existent public transport. The Greening up agenda will mean that we will be back in Victorian times when only the rich and nobility could afford to travel.
Good ol’ rant, half of these thoughts occasionally just tumble through my mind. Schools and hospitals are perfectly fine otherwise I don’t see the logic tbh.
Couldn't agree more, at least your riding video was nice and fast, will have to end up speeding up any driving footage in a video editor now that Mark Drakeford has been able to impose his anti car and motorbike "utopia2 all across Wales and busybody council officials in Wirral have been able to ruin driving round here as well!
I dont even agree with 20 past schools when my local school doesnt even deem a crossing attendant necessary. Nor hospitals. "I'm ill so I'm gonna walk to hospital" No you're not. The whole 20 logic is bs. This is about making driving so miserable that your amazon guy swaps his van for solar powered vehicle made of bamboo. Worra load of crap.
Yes, as a London cab driver working nights, it’s an absolute joke.
They even flash at 22mph, they need every penny they can get
I can understand 20mph limits around schools and heavy pedestrian traffic but that's it.
So it is okay to put the lives of people outside 20 zones in danger? For, when on foot, are you not in greater danger in a 30 zone?
@@antispindr8613 by that logic we should stop using cars and bikes and just walk everywhere
@@biking-northwestOn shorter journeys, might the be a good thing for drivers ever-growing waistline?

You think 20 MPH is slow try 20 KPH you WILL cry

It's not supposed to makes sense. It's a tactic in the war on personal transport.
Car drivers wanting to remain a law unto themselves more like. For should nothing be allowed calm them and save lives?
I can go faster on roller skates

Who actually go’s 20? those who do get overtaken 😂. When possible 😑.
We hate khan hopefully our New mayor will make changes.
and Rant over!
So the idea of Reclaiming the Streets, and making the roads safer for everyone, comes a poor second to drivers remaining a law unto themselves?
