    I bought an 04 suzuki I just had rebuilt this summer which is the exact same bike obviously just yellow plastics.
    To bad Suzuki and Kawasaki rushed to build a bike that had so much problems they decided to end their partnership after 04.
    But it’s definitely an interesting bike being it’s Suzuki and Kawasaki’s first 4 stroke that they built together which makes for a great piece of history for them both.

      One of the funnest bikes I've ever owned. Some things could have been done better but overall it's a pretty cool bike

      Yes can be from lack of oil or from contaminants during assembly

    Hello it’s me again I have a question for you about the cams that you were explaining to Brandonoliver
    I bought another 06 Suzuki same bikes as the 04-06 Kawi’s since we knew kawi and suzuki had their partnership from 04-06 and the bikes are part to part the same with the exception of the color of the plastics.
    Anyways so bought it off a guy who said he rebuilt the top end.
    Bike started and ran but only ran with the choke on.
    Replaced the carb and same thing.Checked the timing seen the timing was off by 3 teeth.Lined the timing up same thing.
    Checked the valve clearance and seen both Exhaust were at 0.07 and intake I couldn’t even get my feeler gauge at 0.05 in cause that’s as low as it will go.
    So obviously super tight.
    I ripped the top end down last night and seen part of the top cylinder head is worn on the exhaust cam side (so need a new top cylinder head) but also seen the exhaust cam teeth are worn slightly and the intake cam looked like it spun like you were mentioning to Brandonoliver.
    So just to clarify on the last cam lob there’s small round hole, and on the front sprocket that the timing chain goes around on the front of the cam there’s a small round hole on that one to.
    So to clarify the small round hole on the rear cam lobe has to line up straight across with the small round hole on the cam chain sprocket on the front of the cam?
    And that’s the east way to tell if one or both your cams spun and need a new cam?

      Did you buy a new OEM carburetor? Did he say he replaced the valves too?

    So I used the springs that came with my new valves. And Ik for sure everything is in spec but my bike is hard to kick over. Like it has tons of compression. I’ve only gotten it to kick start once since rebuilt (top end)

      @bradonoliver2973 Рік тому

      What I’m getting at is if they gave me the wrong springs and for some reason the new ones have a higher tolerance could this potential cause my issue?

      @LORDJESUSATV  Рік тому

      Why did you have to rebuild? Make sure your cam gear did not slip on the camshaft

      @@LORDJESUSATV well I bought the bike. Rode it it one hour and it died on me. Wouldn’t start back. I pulled it apart to find the valves were junk so I relapped the head with new valves and new springs also but yea it ran great before it didn’t lol

      I will add that it wasn’t nearly as hard to kick over when I first looked at the bike it’s only been this way since I got it back together you can bump start is and it’ll run but that’s annoying

      @@bradonoliver2973 make sure your camshafts are still aligned with the cam gear, also check your timing, lastly make sure you have proper valve clearance
