You're so brave driving all of Coastal during Cruise In. I've been stuck in traffic for HOURS doing that! We found the best way to enjoy the show was a boardwalk hotel, close to the inlet where we didn't have to move our car too often. I was going through my husband's old t shirts last night and found Cruisin' OC shirts from 20+ years ago. Always had a great time. I have to say, the vendors have really fallen off ! They used to go from the boardwalk to the beach, 8 or more rows deep! And 90% were car related products. It's happened to every big car show though. Thanks for this video Jay.
Funny you mentioned thr vendors...I thought the same thing! Over the years I feel like it's less and less. Traffic wasn't too bad, but yesterday was horrible. Took me 1 hour to get home from 120th street to Ocean pines!
Great vid. Which of the shows is better to go to for turn outs, spring or fall? I can't take my car on the boardwalk since it's not a classic, but it'll still be nice to cruise around in.
ReelJayB and family, My parents came down for years! When my dad died in 2011, I started coming with my mom. I have continued to come down. Unfortunately, had to sell my mom's most recent car car. My dad's last car was a 54 chevy Bel-air that we sold. We also sold what was to have been my 68 convertible stingray corvette. My mom's car was a 67 Camaro RS Convertible. They both had vettes in their younger days and other cars over the years and raced the vettes. Dad did track and my Mom did drags. Because of Cruisin OC that was how I found your site because of checking out you tube video's on OC. Love your video's. Need to come down sometime not during Cruisin to try some of the food your kids recommend. (I don't eat meat or seafood though - get sick). Those pizza reviews my word. You all will have to come up my way sometime. I used to live in Lancaster Co PA, now living out at the base of Raystown Lake in PA.
That is so awesome about your parents cars!!! They had some amazing cars throughout the years, I really admire the dedication car folks have towards their cars. Between the maintenance, building, detailing...it's amazing what these cars look like! I'm really glad you found my videos. Let me know which restaurants you try and which ones you like!
If you live in West O, we dread when these guys show up. They disrespect our small town, peeling out, creating unsafe conditions for other drivers, notably from Wawa to 611. These clowns treat our town like their own personal playground, and police presence is non existent. We have to deal with this event not once but twice a year. It sucks!
@@ReelJayB There are no reduced speed limits here in West O but over on the peninsula they have that. These guys know it and let their immaturity blossom at full display for us to deal with. I’ve lived here full time for the past 10+ years and have seen OC evolve into nothing more than one event after another, which equates to greed. Being in the fishing business, the number of tournaments now have taken the excitement out of them as they once were. It’s a shame, it really is. I appreciate the fact that you produce these videos for public viewing, but when it comes to these cruiser punks, old and young, my comments are not an opinion, I’m voicing 100% facts. I blame the Worcester County Sherrif’s Dept. for taking a hands off approach to the issue.
I love watching you and your family doing family things together. Your boys will remember your outing for ever. Yooper Frank
Awesome event. Lotta nice cars. Thanks for posting. Just subscribed.
Thank you!! 😊
@@ReelJayB No problem.

Thanks!! The fall show is good, but the spring show is better. There are more cars in the spring.

I haven't noticed it in west oc, so I'll have to take your word for it. But I haven't seen anything like that in Ocean City or Ocean Pines.
