Funny you mention the old Sun and Surf movies! I was 9 years old and my family was on vacation and it was a rainy day. We went to the movies and saw E.T.!! You are making me feel old!!! Great video!!!
Once again a nice video Jay. It is crazy how fast the town houses next to the ware houses went up. Also how close they are to each other. Looks like you will have to do a 3 point turn to get in to your garage. As for Salt 75 the sign sign closed for renovations all winter. I thought that was odd because the place is new from the ground up.
So you saw the tiny garage space too!! I was wondering how you swing your car in there, theres hardly any room to turn! Something is definitely going on with saltwater 75, curious to know what....
I can remember when Duffy's was Pappy's Pizza and all that was North of 130 was an English's Fried Chicken, Old Pro Golf and Kane's Woods... Montego Bay only went about 5-6 blocks off of Coastal Hwy. Bus Fare 25¢ round trip. Waves...Tasty and much better break on 144th St
I was not interested in saltwater 75s menu. Thanks for mentioning they made changes, I looked and I think they did! Maybe we will check it out. Going last weekend in April, sucks they changed the date! Thanks for the vids!! Really look forward to them.

One thing I like about OC is they all try to keep their costs down because of competition. LOTS of great Happy Hour specials too. But, food prices overall are waaaaaay up. Especially seafood. I was looking at Sea Borns facebook page, a few years ago Sea Bass filets were $14 to $15 per pound, they are now $18. Tuna was $15, it's now $18 too. Im curious to see what crab prices are going to be, I can only imagine how expensive they will be!

I think it's awesome they are coming back. We're more than likely going to Oceans Calling. I know last year was a mess with the bus system, but they said they got it worked out on the 2nd day and are working on better plans for this year. We LOVE North OC for vacations. We would rather be away from the boardwalk and downtown when we're there for weeks at a time. So easy to just run to Bethany or Fenwick for dinner. I have to say I have mixed feelings about all the development going on. We liked the quiet, but more condos will make it easier to get a northern condo. I do wonder how OC's utilities handle, or will handle, all the expansion and heavier loads. But that all is a LOT of construction. As always, thanks for the updates Jay.
@@ReelJayB We always enjoy a meal at Mio Fratellos a bit farther up in Selbyville, and we like the Big Bites at the Lobster Shanty in Fenwick. They have them for $25 Wed, Thur, and Sunday. The Surf and Turf is delish!!! Mio's has really good pasta and usually has off season lobster specials. But we've never had a bad meal either place.
Couple interesting points. Those expensive condos are built next to the Catholic Church. That church has bells that ring. I hear them all the time. I can only imagine the complaints that will come when people are sleeping and the church bells go off. Secondly, some of these condo balconies overlook the bus station, and I mean by feet. Good luck selling those. From what I’ve seen and heard sales are not so good.
I figured sales can't be good, but it's mind blowing knowing they are building more! Curious to see how they do- like the ones they put in at the old Shanty Town- those had a hard time selling too.
We tried RT 66 this week and I have to say I was not impressed with their breakfast. The place is new and maybe they are working out a few things.. We might try it again after they deal with tourist season and get things squared away.
Oh no! That sucks to hear. I saw a few others had said the same thing. Their menu looked awesome, I think we'll wait to try them until they work out the kinks.
I remember the Sunoco and a Irish bar/restaurant in that center? I guess no real-estate slow down in OC. 600k to be right on Coastal with people and vehicle traffic noise? For that kind of money, you could go north a few miles into Delaware and buy a new single family. Bethany/Oceanview/ Millville is a much better investment. lower taxes and no flood insurance, less hustle and bustle all withing 5-10 minutes to the beach!
$600K seemed very steep to me, especially with coastal highway literally at your back door. For that money you could even buy an ocean front condo in OC!
@@ReelJayB That's 600k plus taxes and flood insurance! There is a buyer for every property. I've seen million dollar homes feet away from those towering transmission electric lines. i bet half of those townhomes are probably sold. Next time you drive by, see if they have sold signs up on the lots.
I thought so too, but then realized the majority are probably going to be seasonal residents. I hardly doubt the beach will be filled with them if they are only here for a few weeks at a time.
Where are these townhouses you speak of? All I see are single family home developments with home prices for the inexpensive homes starting at 400 grand and up.
I can’t believe people want to live right on the coastal highway in those townhouses. The noise would drive me crazy. We used to live in the historic district of Frederick, right along the street, and I got tired of that, the coastal highway would be much worse. But to each their own!
Back in July my kids and I stayed at the Seahawks Motel on 124th facing Coastal Highway. I thought the traffic noise would be deafening especially since I've never stayed in a building facing the highway. To my surprise it wasn't bad at all. A lot quieter than I thought it would be.

They certainly packed in those condos! I don't like the ones in the old Phillips parking lot. If you get a chance, look at the garages....no clue how you can swing an SUV in to the garage. Ashley won't get a mic, still working on it though! I've been looking at the dji mics, but I'm not sure how they will do with my gopro. Been having A LOT of problems with my gopros so maybe a time to change??
With the way you skip around, it would be helpful if you could say,”I am heading North”, or “we are on Bayside”. Or “We are on or crossing x street”. I know OC well but you keep getting me lost with all of your skipping around and not providing a general understanding of where you are.
Sunsations is just chachki overpriced junk, really, and theres too many of them- most people are saavy enough to buy stuff before going and amazon is same/2 day delivery, and most people have it, so it seems to be an obsolete type of store if theres too many, for the overall sales they get... plus the waves here arent that great

Any good places in Fewick to recommend for dinner? We've never been there for dinner and are always looking for new places to try!
They water and electrical infrastructure was already strained. How the city allowed such dense construction is likely shady
That is crazy but I guess there is more and more demand for Condos. Pack more folks into OC. Great for the Economy I guess!!
What is the name of your Landscape Business ?
Great videos. Don't understand those townhouses that dump right on to the sidewalk.
Makes no sense.
hahahah they will selll soon ,,,you bet!!
I thought so too, and zero privacy. My company is The Mowing Pros.
Jimmy Charles mother lives on 94th Street & he plays music regularly at Bourbon Street!
Probably explains why he's here a lot! I never knew that, pretty cool! I enjoy his music.
We tried RT 66 this week and I have to say I was not impressed with their breakfast. The place is new and maybe they are working out a few things.. We might try it again after they deal with tourist season and get things squared away.
Oh no! That sucks to hear. I saw a few others had said the same thing. Their menu looked awesome, I think we'll wait to try them until they work out the kinks.
dirty harrys in fenwick is. breakfast luch n dinner,,,you will love!!
For that money you could even buy an ocean front condo in OC!
yes,,you should be able to be ocean block at the least!!@@ReelJayB
@@ReelJayB That's 600k plus taxes and flood insurance! There is a buyer for every property. I've seen million dollar homes feet away from those towering transmission electric lines. i bet half of those townhomes are probably sold. Next time you drive by, see if they have sold signs up on the lots.
North OC was very nice, open beaches and now with all these townhomes is going to make it impossible to enjoy a quiet time at the beach
@@bobdickerson3434 north end of ocean city, right at the Fenwick Island DE state line.
I can’t believe people want to live right on the coastal highway in those townhouses. The noise would drive me crazy. We used to live in the historic district of Frederick, right along the street, and I got tired of that, the coastal highway would be much worse. But to each their own!
I agree. Especially the ones with their back doors practically on the sidewalk!
hahha---wait till the auto events,,bikes====earplugs anyone????
Back in July my kids and I stayed at the Seahawks Motel on 124th facing Coastal Highway. I thought the traffic noise would be deafening especially since I've never stayed in a building facing the highway. To my surprise it wasn't bad at all. A lot quieter than I thought it would be.
Anyone remember Cefalonis?
Nick's is still there. It's still North OC!
bring your bank acc to nicks---hahahaha..and kripto acc---to high for ribs???nice wall tv though..check it out soon ,great for nfl games
Salt water has a staffing issue i believe, seen they have been looking for FOH AND BOH managers. The sign said they were opening st patty’s weekend and keeps getting pushed back!
Ahhhh that explains it! Crazy because Ropewalk is owned by them and they run pretty smooth.
yeah there hasnt been a good beagle place since late 90's early 00's
ruff---ruff
I HATE THIS BUILDING OF CONDOS...miss the nice lot in front of the church..dogs,frissbee,,golf swingin was such a nice buffer from busses,,oh yeah,,new peeps will be kept awake w busses idling,,not me,,600's---rip of i watch em build these..not good...sucks about it all,,more morons on the beach and highway...least they may have$$...we;ll see about the new bagel joint..1 year??....dairy queen , new one, would be a big hit in this area..icecreams big!!...all residential area up at the front streets in fenwick..lots of families in walkin distance to these places in evenings.I'm in fenwick alot in summer so isee alot of all of north oc and del beaches..new highway comin in soon too,,changes always comin,,we'll see if the new bridges on rt54 will take awhile or forever,,haha,,yeah,,lower n slower del projects on roads can take longer than....you know!yes the new golf course will be a hit there..good spot your right,,med foods at victorias,,eh......1year?...hard to maintain in winter,so make it quick and SAVE..good job JAY N CO,,get Ashley a mic will ya??
They certainly packed in those condos! I don't like the ones in the old Phillips parking lot. If you get a chance, look at the garages....no clue how you can swing an SUV in to the garage. Ashley won't get a mic, still working on it though! I've been looking at the dji mics, but I'm not sure how they will do with my gopro. Been having A LOT of problems with my gopros so maybe a time to change??
Alot of utubers get rid of go pro s. Quick
With the way you skip around, it would be helpful if you could say,”I am heading North”, or “we are on Bayside”. Or “We are on or crossing x street”.
I know OC well but you keep getting me lost with all of your skipping around and not providing a general understanding of where you are.
Sunsations is just chachki overpriced junk, really, and theres too many of them- most people are saavy enough to buy stuff before going and amazon is same/2 day delivery, and most people have it, so it seems to be an obsolete type of store if theres too many, for the overall sales they get... plus the waves here arent that great
We like them for the cheap beach towels
