I used to live on the 18th floor of the sea watch tower, they had security in the parking garage 24/7, catacorner from Jamestown rd, where the green turtle 🐢 is, great video tnx!
oh wow nice! i love the Sea Watch its a great location and love the little deli thats in there hidden gem of OC. dream home would be one of the townhouse units there.
Thanks as always for the great update video. We were in OC 9/7 until 9/14 staying at the Holiday Inn at 66th Street. It was a great week with perfect weather and September has become our favorite time to visit. We ate at Seacrets, Pickles Pub, Fagers, Coins, Harpoon Hanna's, Sunset Grille, De lazy Lizard and Ropewalk. A great week all in all.
Hey buddy how are you ? Man you really keep up to date with everything that is going on in your area man which is a good thing. Thanks you for sharing this video buddy .
That restaurant space in the Fountainhead tower originally was "The Lemon Tree restaurant" in the mid 70s { now located on Savannah rd in Lewes} and then a very good seafood restaurant named "Crisfield ii" used to go to both when we owned in the Carousel.
Thank you for all of your good reviews! We will definitely check out The Pines Cafe. We were there for bike week and went to the concerts. It was a crazy couple of days… for sure.
@@TrikesNTreats To each their own, I know some who love the south side more. The north side has the yachy club, white horse park and more parks. We prefer the north side because it has more to offer us. The south side is more of the quiet side.
Absolutely. Just heard they are trying to push hard to lease a farm much closer to shore. I'll try to make a video soon to try to put things into perspective for everyone.
Nice up date. is it any wounder with a name like Coastal Creations who knew it was a restaurant and not a furniture store. Grab and go Taco's was going to renovate the old dairy queen but as they got into the only thing that was salvageable was the 4 outside walls. It sat that was for a couple of year then surfing bagel bought it tore it down and started new.
I do not believe that is accurate. Joseph Balsamo originally owned the land/building and still does to my knowledge and built the new structure that Sodel Concepts is renting to put their Surf Bagel restaurant in.
That sandwich Looked really nice man. That was a busy day. Thanks for the update guys. I saw sea shell city,Over there on the delaware line. I always have to hit that place and check out the Ship wrecked museum On the second floor.
Looks like a good sandwich at the end Jay! We discovered Longboard Cafe on 67th last week...been staying at the Holiday Inn for like a decade now and never knew it was there...May have been some of the best Wings I have ever tasted!!! Have you ever had their food?
Always appreciate the ride arounds the OC and OP Interesting Was business slower this summer, for hotels , bars and restaurants?I ask, because of some closings and new business on hold?
Yeah, it was definitely slower this year. It picked up for a bit just after July 5th, but then it slowed back down. This winter and next spring should be interesting to see if anyone closes and who else will open.
The surf bagel is the best. The one in Rehoboth was the original one that I used to go to. There’s been days I’ve driven from 4th St., Ocean City El Capitan condo all the way up to Rehoboth Beach for breakfast. sandwich. I’m very excited that they’ve expanded up to Lewes And down to Ocean City.
Was your chicken moist and tender? We will be in town for the two upcoming music festivals, and I will check this restaurant as well as Paul's and Vinney's. Thank you for the review.
We liked breakfast at Casita Linda in OC Pines. Surf Bagels in Lewes is very good. This location should be a nice addition. Uber Bagel is still very good. What about Popes Pizza?
1. Still disappointed from an investigative journalist perspective that you never visited Leon's On The Beach! 2. We were down there last week. Played Lost Treasure mini golf based on your recommendation. It was spectacular. All other courses are now inferior! 3. Saw the new townhouses near Fenwick on Bay Side you always comment are "So Close Together!" You sir are not exaggerating! LOL 4. You've been saying things seemed slow this season, and it seemed that way to us as well. A lot less bikers coming in early for bike week than we've seen years prior. 5. Finally tried Bad Monkey for breakfast based on your comments. Really happy with that as well.
Thanks, really appreciate it! Lost Treasure is always a fun course! Bike week this year was....odd. Usually we see A LOT of bikes come in the week before. This year was hardly any at all. We saw everyone setting up, but didn't see many bikes. Strange year for sure in OC. I drove by those new townhouses today and was trying to figure out how anyone could even back their truck in the garage!
Those sandwiches looked delicious! I'm not surprised that the Bakery went out of business there. No one ever was in that place. lol They are still building the firehouse? They were building it when I lived there and that was 2.5 years ago. lol
Yeah....still building the firehouse. Almost done though! I didn't really see anyone at the bakery but it was pretty popular. A lot of others talked about how good it was. Apparently they had to close for health reasons.
Whiskers has the same owner and they are reopening next week. He brought new management people in to revamp the kitchen which was totally lacking. Fourth time a charm?
I’ll bet the Cowboy places is taking longer because 1. Perhaps he doesn’t want the hassle of two projects at a time and 2. Much more involved project with more approvals necessary that can take a while. BTW sometime when the boys are with grandparents, have dinner at Our Harvest. It’s not cheap, but it’s one of the best restaurants around. They own Liquid Assets, and a couple of other places too Thanks for the vid. Def want to try the Pines place looks good! If I eat in the car, I can look across at where I had my last colonoscopy 😱😂😂😂
Iw as thinking the same. The Cowboy Coast is a BIG project to take on. Especially if they are going to move the front entrance. I've heard a lot of good things about Our Harvest, my brother in law and sister in law both said it was great. We'll have to give it a shot sometime.
16:40 I made a chicken salad last night. Turns out they prefer grain, not lettuce. I stayed at the Cabana a couple of times years ago when it was the Fountain Court. Looks like they totally rebuilt their pool. Was kind of dumpy; I can't imagine they're asking 5.7 million for that. It must be the location.
Stopped going to Wildwood after paying a lot of money for a nice motel two blocks off the boardwalk. Every night from around midnight to 2 AM drunk hell raising teenagers made noise waking us up while on the third floor. We complained to front desk and they told us they report it s few times a week but police seldom show up. OC MD is worth the extra hour of drive time. Have so many more quality restaurants, lower rip off room tax ( Wildwood charges 14% for what ? ). cleaner, quieter and better safer streets
Ocean pines restaurants looks fab can't wait to go there, thanks for all the updates 😀
Thanks for going out and doing the reviews. I guess it won't be too long until the town starts setting up the Winterfest of Lights??
Yeah! Usually around Sept they start setting up. This year is flying by!
Thank you for all the reviews and updates this summer. I hope to see you again next summer. I wish the best for you and your family.
Thank you! You as well!
Made me hungry. This place is going on my list. Thanks!
We used to go to that DQ every night we were in Bethany for vacation. Their black n white shakes are incredible. Thx Jay!

Thank you !!

Thanks for the new news!
moving to Ocean Pines next month. Thanks for your insights. Hopefully I'll see you around.
Oh now way! OP is a small world, I'm sure you'll run into us at some point! Congrats on your move! Are you north side or south side?

Warren Rosenfelds is indicating on Facebook that they are signing to stay in OC at a new location. They are also about to open in Salisbury
I saw that! Usually I won't comment on it until I know for sure, but I'm excited for him to stay if he does. Wonder where he will go?
Need your help spraking out against the offshore wind farm!

They win best wings at the beach every year. Last time we tried to go there was a 2 hour wait!! One day we'll make it in there.
Think for a update and keep up with the good work

Hi jay : sent you a message on TikTok today, made it to OC today, Frank
For some reason it isn't showing. If your on Facebook or Instagram I'm on there...or the trusty email yakattack0311@gmail.com
Any updates on the needles and syringes they are finding on the beaches?
I haven’t heard any updates
None were found today, but the beach is still closed due to rip currents. They are hoping to open the beach back up this weel sometime.
Listened to the mayor this morning on ocean 98.1. They found one isolated area that had some medical waste but the beach should be open this weekend.
Bike week was definitely loud lol. Next year we may wait till a week or two later before we come down.
That's usually the best time, except now the winds and rip currents are throwing off the fishing! 🤣
@@ReelJayB lol yeah I told dad that’s why the fishing was bad. Hopefully you get into some fish when things clear up.

Definitely moist and tender. Not a ton of flavoring to the chicken but I liked it that way because there was a lot of flavor to everything else.
HOA at the Fountainhead has managed to chase out EVERY SINGLE place thats tried to move in that space there since 2012.

Leon's has permanently CLOSED. It is now the Cha Cha Cantina.
Not anymore, it's now back to Whiskers.
