Plaster and sling

Just a quick demo of how I apply plaster and sling. Sorry about the delayed sound in the sling part. IDK what happened there but it looks like I'm being dubbed in one of my fave martial arts movies......

When would you prefer to use a cast over a backslab and vice versa

It depends on the complication of the fracture and advice from the orthopaedic team. A full cast is appropriate for children (or even adults) who may not be so guarded about the injured area. I like the versatility of the back-slab because tension can be adjusted and you can provide good skin care to the affected area. And BTW I really appreciate your questions and interest in my videos so don't ever apologise for asking for clarification. Thanks x
