I would love to see a video on Dominique Whaley. That was not only one of the most inspirational Sooner stories, but one of the most inspirational sports stories. My man was working at Subway just to pay for school and support his kid, and Stoops gave him a shot and Dom went off. Hope all is well with him.
I don’t agree with his decisions, but I understand his frustration. To go from a top WR in HS with thousands of yards and a scholarship from damn near every major D1 program, then make a decision to go to Oklahoma, only to get there and get less than 10 targets in a year. Then smoke some weed and get sat down for an entire year. Like I said, I don’t agree but I understand.
Sadly, there were three guys that had potential to all be NFL players. Trejan was the highest rated in the recruiting world (of the three). It was a sad deal and I hope he's figured things out. He deserves another chance if he can prove he'll make the right decisions.
