What about Dorgu at RWB? Would get to cut in onto his stronger left foot and it'd maximise Amad at the 10. Amad plays a lot better with Antony RWB than Dalot/Maz for that reason.
Please do a Garnacho video. With him on the move and lots of debate about how good he really is/can be, it would be perfect. Plus United player linked to Chelsea means lots of views.
Top video. One thing I would say is that it may be useful to provide some context to the stats by giving some detail on the team he plays for. So how will his stats be impacted by Lecce's style of play, they're fighting a relegation battle so it's unlikely he will have good output stats etc. So some context against other players in his team, teams in a similar position in the league, as well as the other top players you list like Mendes, Diallo etc. I feel people who view your videos may not take the context into consideration when it comes to stats, so you providing that context may be helpful to them as we all know stats are heavily impacted by the team you play for. The eye test analysis you do is always the most interesting and useful part to the videos.
I've been thinking the same thing, Dorgu has been my first choice LWB behind antonee Robinson, could do with both tbh as WB is such a demanding position.
If he's not athletic enough then how does he make more tackles per 90 than Dorgu? And more dribbles? If United had a techniclaly gifted wing back the game wouldn't be so chaotic. The game is end to end because they can't control games. Bringing in a LB whose in the 2% for pass completition and 10% for progressive passes is hardly going to give them control is it?
@@peterjohnston5979 stats are somewhat misleading for dorgu, as he has played WB and RW regularly for Lecce.. his skillset gives him that versatility. Before Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea, all the £100m transfers were pre-2020, and we were still considering £70m-80m as huge 1st team superstar signings up until the last five years, but now it's the go-to asking price for any player considered a UCL/lower end WC potential player. Hey man. I like your videos. Very detailed. Is it possible for you to do player ratings for Mbappe, raphinha, yamal, Salah? Well, players who stand out in general this season. Like an in depth video of their entire season.
We need Dorgu to excel at United, it's been a while since we have bought well and I feel things are changing - lot of evidence in these clips / analysis that he will do well in the Premier League!
If United were to sign Dorgu, I feel we need another senior leftback/wingback to supplement it as well. United need to stop signing these young prospects and throw them into the starting line up expecting them to perform... We've all seen players like Hojlund, Ganarcho, Mainoo and Yoro lack consistency and once they go on a bad run of form, the United fans start criticizing them and saying they're not good enough forgetting that they are actually still teenagers and learning the game. I seriously fear for the manager if he's to go for these kind of players to fill up the positions that we need. It's like Ten Hag all over again...
That's a good point, I've been hoping united sign dorgu and antonee Robinson all January, WB is a demanding position and in my opinion, we need to buy 3/4 WB's for both sides.. Malacia, Shaw and even dalot can go, but I wouldn't mind if dalot stayed only for the RWB role though, being on the left limits his game so much.
And touching on your point, I think united are going to try and copy brightons model of signing young sometimes unknown talent.. Also looking at certain metrics/statistics that fit the profile Ruben needs for the system.. Diego Leon and sekou kone are examples of this.
@@3R513 I'm all up for it for United to rebuild like Brighton.. I'm just worried about the owner's and fans expectations would put the Manager's job in danger. Would Amorim survive finishing outside of the European spots if we were to go for young talents? Unless someone from the top management comes out and lay down the expectations for the fans, Amorim will get hounded out before he gets to compete for the title. I dread the day the manager gets sacked again 😔
Where is Alvaro Carreras's stats on this list for comparion with Dorgu cos we think that Alvaro is ready made to play the role of left wingback for Utd at under £10M?
Thank you for this video I don’t ever watch player highlight videos because every player looks like prime Ronaldo or messi. If United do sign someone can you please make a similar video on that player?
They're good to see what people can do but not how regularly/often/consistently they can do them, nor do they show what they can't do, that's where we come in.
The only sure fire options are Mendes and Robinson. Kerkez isn't really a WB and Ait Nouri isn't ideal defensively. Robinson would be the best option if he costs a lot less than Mendes.
The more you spend money on a player it reduces your margin for error as your budget is compromised. It is common sense that cheaper a player you can afford for it to be a flop
@@PythagorasinBoots I would agree with you if price was 60-70 million. But 40 million seems to be the going rate for any decent young player now. Look at the defenders man city has just brought.
So he's another diamond in the rough. What we need is a creative midfielder like an Eriksen or Pogba to really unlock Hojlund. He's always on a run or open for a pass but our team just can't see him in these spots. Our weakness is too many passes when it takes every other team just 1 or 2 passes to break us down for their striker to be 1 on 1 with Onana
So the verdict on Dorgu is that he's quite good at this and that, but not great at a lot of other things, but has potential to improve. However, players simply don't improve at United.
Great video but this is terrifying. We're going to sell Garnacho for a ridiculously cut price in order to sign someone who, might, have potential. We're cooked.
I don't get the Baines comparison at all. Baines was very technical, great left foot, touch, crosses, passing etc and he didn't have great pace. Dorgu is the opposite. Dorgu is very athletic but has fairly poor technique.
You’ve misunderstood why he was mentioned, it was only in relation to his ability to get in behind defences nothing to do with his overall profile as a player
Why do all these stats videos treat players like analogue robots. There are dozens and dozens of factors that can occur in a game that can affect these stats. a lot of it depends on the other 21 players on the field. there is nothing that we can predict will happen at united based on any of this. Its a nice video to see what he's done at Lecce but lets leave it at that.
...How much do we use eye test, as important, if not more than the stats themselves. We don't sit on the fence and have to extrapolate as much as we can from interviews, footage and background, using our intelligence, intuition & intellect. This is what we do
Do you not think being a wing back you’re never going to be as good as a traditional full back at defending or a wingers at attacking? It’s about the combination and ability to get up and down otherwise you just be a full back or a winger
This transfer shows United have learned nothing in the market. The already have two elite young prospects for LB with Diogo Leon and Harry Amass (not to mention Alvaro Fernandez at Benfica) It makes no sense to sign Dorgu for 30-40m when you could just sign Rayan from Wolves for that amount and he's already elite. United already have elite LB prospects, they need someone who can play first team football. Rayan is 23, has 18 months left on his contract and already a top 5 LB in the premiership. Why on earth would you spend this money on an unknown when you have the real deal right in front of you? This transfer would be Anthony/Rasmus all over again. There's some "analytics channels" who have literally never disagreed with a single United signing. So I'll not be listening to channels who thought Anthony/Mount/Rasmus where all gonna crush.
No offence to united fans.. but this player doesn’t deserve to start for y’all yet. He doesn’t look good enough now at all!. This is a player you buy when you already have starters in ur WB positions. In conclusion, he is simply not good enough and not worth the 40mil euros price tag. I’m sorry.
Golden_blunder banned you from redcafe? That forum is such a mess with pathetic staff members banning people if they don't like you. Laughably poor forum, despite having some good posters.
He's one of those players who people describe as "a bit raw". But often players like that remain raw as they simply have poor technique that doesn't get refined as they get older. Hope he's not one of those players.
It's bewildering to see us chasing another unproven and frankly average player when we've got a chance for an absolute steal in Alvaro Fernandez through the buyback clause
I still think we need to promote harry amass...yes he is small but technically he is ready...he does even better than dorgu on the ball and he defends better...we need to promote harry amass as the backup. This idea of playing dalot there has cost us over and over again. Dalot is NOT better than harry amass at Lwb...he isnt even technically as good. Even sam mather is another good option. We have such a talented academy, i dont know why we dont risk and play them. We are already losing regularly...the difference is we would learn more if we actually played kids
When you talk of wing backs (I know that he is an occasional right winger), scoring goals isn't the first skill to focus on. What about his crossing, defending, being in the right place at the right time etc. Also please take in to account that he is 20 years of age .To me he looks like a reasonable prospect, he could turn into a good player, then again he could be a flop. To me he looks like a 20-25 million pound player. I hope that United don't fall foul of the United tax 30 million is the absolute top fee I'd pay

Yes, this is the analysis we needed!
You're welcome.
Hey man. I like your videos. Very detailed.
Is it possible for you to do player ratings for Mbappe, raphinha, yamal, Salah? Well, players who stand out in general this season. Like an in depth video of their entire season.
I don’t do season ratings, I do post about stuff like that on our Twitter though.
We need this vid
Dopamine hit first day of the week after pythag delivered the dopamine first thing last weekend with Tel.
We mere mortals request, the king delivers.
Hopefully I your receptors will be on overload by the end of the transfer window 😅
Congratulations man.
Hojlund and Dorgu are also international team mates so we hope this signing has wider benefits
Just curious. Say united have a max budget of £35m for the LWB role. Who would you suggest as your pick for the role?
Curious why they don’t activate the buy-back clause for Alvaro Fernandez. Half the price and less risky…
Why would he want to come back?
He plays now stress free champs in good weather.
No leaks, no yearly sackings.
Only activates in the summer.
Alvaro isn't so physical. Dorgu is a ground eater.
Congrats on the license mate! What you thing at the chance of Alvaro Fernandes coming back to United and is he a better suited for United than Dorgu?
Great work! How about Alvaro Carreras? Do you guys think he’s more suited to Amorim system?
Carreras is a little bit better, more composure on the ball, although he's more like a classic wingback, crossing.
21:52 Dorgu looks different here 😄 great video guys
Rushed editing job towards the end of the vid because had to get it out.
@ all good, wasn‘t meant as a dig 🙂 thanks for all the videos, my favourite channel atm.
Thank you!!!
🙏
Where is Alvaro Carreras's stats on this list for comparion with Dorgu cos we think that Alvaro is ready made to play the role of left wingback for Utd at under £10M?
Do a video on Cunha and updated analysis of Sesko and Zubimendi
We don’t do updates generally and certainly won’t for those. Cunha, only if he goes to Arsenal this window.
Who would be the best possible option? Kerkez?
The Leighton Baines comparison is solid, but I’d say a prime Marcos Alonso, arriving late at the back post, is an even better fit.
Would you say that Dorgu is the best opition available(I’m considering Nunes and Davies not atainable)?
He’s not a bad option tbh just depends on the price. For £25m it’s a worthwhile punt
Reijnders next pythag🙏
+1
Unspoken baller, my favourite Milan and Netherlands player
Yes definitely, alongside some other realistic CM options for utd
Transfer season, only players on the move to one of the clubs that garners eyes and attention.
@@PythagorasinBoots Amadinho?
I think he should be played as a left sided overlapping center back. In our back 3
The only sure fire options are Mendes and Robinson. Kerkez isn't really a WB and Ait Nouri isn't ideal defensively. Robinson would be the best option if he costs a lot less than Mendes.
Forgetting Theo who is better than your 'fire' options and can also be starter LCB long term
Next video, Álvaro Carreras i think better option amd better deal for united
Angelo Stiller, an improved Xhaka next please❤️
Congrats on your license!
Thank you.
Quenda of sporting would be interesting
1:23- ambipedal*
Argh
This just proves how good amad is,by the way i think mendes would be the best choice we could get
What do u think of Dorgu as a LWB and Quenda as a RWB?
Would definitely be an upgrade. Have to bear in mind their age and need for development. Too much responsibility too soon doesn’t always work out
I would love to see a tactical analysis of Nico Jackson
Unlikely now unless he's on the leave to one of the main 7 teams that garner us views.
@@PythagorasinBoots As a Chelsea fan, I'm trying to see what those at the club see. It's all good
At what point does the price tag mean he has to be a certain hit? Who decides 20 mil is okay but 40 is not
The more you spend money on a player it reduces your margin for error as your budget is compromised.
Hojlund is so bad at positioning himself bro.
Hojlund sucks at positioning, almost never makes runs in behind
I watched other videos and saw when 1 on 1 and he doesn't have much space he will just backpass it rather than trying to beat his man.
As a MUFC fan who has witnessed the likes of Di Maria, Sancho, Antony, Van de Beek, etc, join the club and fumble, I'll reserve my comments.
Bynoe gittens next maybe. Especially if he ends up coming to chelsea
Video on Dean Huijsen?
Probably in the summer.
So the verdict on Dorgu is that he's quite good at this and that, but not great at a lot of other things, but has potential to improve. However, players simply don't improve at United.
Really love your page shame our fan base is toxic and might make you stop being a fan hope you don’t been here since 2023 🤞🏼
Can you make for Myles lewis skelly
Nah man, Pythagoras is the GOAT
Many thanks.
Now do Nuno Tavares! In an ideal world United would sign both of them.
Unbelievable sprint power and endurance, mean cross too.
We need a YAMAL’s video bro !!!
It got banned on YT, it remains up on our Patreon, just like all the other banned videos.
@ WHY?

@ 😢😢😢
Great video but this is terrifying. We're going to sell Garnacho for a ridiculously cut price in order to sign someone who, might, have potential. We're cooked.
Any chance of Jonathan David video
If he's on the move to one of the main 7 teams that get us views, then he would be.
This is what we do
have you signed up any known players to your agency yet?
Make a video on Nypan
It'll be out in the next few hours.
Do you not think being a wing back you’re never going to be as good as a traditional full back at defending or a wingers at attacking? It’s about the combination and ability to get up and down otherwise you just be a full back or a winger
It is a good point but the elite elite wing backs do both to a very high level. Look at Carlos/Cafu types. Even Reece James, good at both.
Better creativity out wide for sure but not a good signing overall unless Luke Shaw gives him tips on defending
You think your opinion matters lol
No offence to united fans.. but this player doesn’t deserve to start for y’all yet. He doesn’t look good enough now at all!. This is a player you buy when you already have starters in ur WB positions. In conclusion, he is simply not good enough and not worth the 40mil euros price tag. I’m sorry.
Dalot definitely doesn't deserve to start.
@@PythagorasinBoots Would you say Dorgu starts for United and improves them?
He good but pay 40m for player playing with the club at 17th in serie it crazy
There should be academy players on his level.
we should have gone for kerkerz or nouri
Golden_blunder banned you from redcafe? That forum is such a mess with pathetic staff members banning people if they don't like you. Laughably poor forum, despite having some good posters.
please do Álvaro Carreras
Imho united doesnt need another raw talent. Seems like we have no choice though cause others are way to expensive 😭
At least it's a change from them going for pensioners on long contracts and high wages.
I think we need to pump the breaks on the Amass hype. Too much pressure on a kid who has not kicked a ball in top flight football yet.
@@nsubugakasozi7101 Harry Amass is a better defender is a joke of a comment to make
Amass defo doesn’t defend better lol
@@mercurialblonde ahhh you're one of those ones. You probs thought the same about Mainoo... look at him now
@@delzsupreme there's no evidence that Amass is as good as Garnacho or Mainoo. He hasn't exactly been tearing it up this season at youth level
I'm not impressed but we've signed him anyway and let's see how it works
When you talk of wing backs (I know that he is an occasional right winger), scoring goals isn't the first skill to focus on. What about his crossing, defending, being in the right place at the right time etc. Also please take in to account that he is 20 years of age .To me he looks like a reasonable prospect, he could turn into a good player, then again he could be a flop. To me he looks like a 20-25 million pound player. I hope that United don't fall foul of the United tax 30 million is the absolute top fee I'd pay
should buy alfie doughty, better crosser and a workhorse
Please do a Garnacho video. With him on the move and lots of debate about how good he really is/can be, it would be perfect. Plus United player linked to Chelsea means lots of views.
If the rumors to Chelsea intensify then potentially.
