- Are the gods screaming in pain? Is Nirnroot attuned to a divine frequency? Or is it just annoying? The FALLOUT of the secret lore at the end will SHOCK you... Oh and it gets louder every time I say Nirnroot.
I'm sorry for making this. But there's a big video coming this week :)

I've seen a few mentions of Nirnroot noise in this video? That was not in there when I uploaded the video. Are we just imagining it? (All seriousness though, I'm sorry for my actions, and there will be a big video dropping very soon. :)
Can’t wait for that big video!
Some of us don't mind the sound, ;p
@@draelon Speak for yourself.
Masterfully detailed lore as always Drewmora, I can only imagine the hours of Nirnroot howls you had to endure crafting this.
I noticed it also getting louder near the end of yhe video almost drowning you out by 9:06
The screeching sound of the Nirnroot is a metaphor for the multi-player chat of ESO.
I really wish ESO had an offline single player mode so I could enjoy it.
@@Riftrender 💯 %
@@Riftrender you know you can just close the chat and play everything except group dungeons solo and not interact with others at all right ? I don’t get this complaint what so ever.
@@Weeb_Destroyer You obviously never tried to take on a dungeon boss and then randomly have a bunch scarecrows show up to nerf the boss.
@@Weeb_Destroyer My internet is not steady, I can't pause when I need to step away for a moment, and the enemies respawn shockingly quick for an mmo.
Its why I don't play any mmo anymore.
I love how by the end the Nirnroot was louder then Drew, you can barely make him out.
I didn’t even notice the screaming until like halfway through, I’m writing this 9 minutes in and now I’m drowning in it
Bravo drew
Towards the end the Nirnroot wasn't alone in crying. 10/10 video
Even though this was a ploy to get us to listen to the cry of Nirnroot for 9 minutes straight, I could still fall asleep to this. Happy April Fool’s day everyone!
This video was pure and utter agony. And I loved every second of it.
Could the Nirnroots' alchemical ability to resist magic and create invisibility be a direct slight to Magnus (the Sun) after he abandoned Nirn and the gods who chose to be the Earthbones?
I dunno, it depends. Not all aspects of the Mundus is of Aetherius, some of it is of Oblivion, the more Padomaic elements. So Nirnroots may just be of Oblivion, or just doesn't have any Earthbones that deride mostly of Aetherius
Drew, you could literally make a half hour video on the adoring fan or sweetroll lore and I'd still watch it.
I watched this knowing fully well what was happening. Even I can't resist a drewmora vid, even as the nirnroot screams
I hope Bethesda gives community figures such as Drew, Michael, Scott, Zaric, Imperial Knowledge, Monsieur Dupond, etc a thank you letter in the credits of TES VI if not a few hidden characters
Don't forget camel! Potential camels in the deserts tes 6 he could be one of them!
@@johnsmith6497 oh yes, I forgot to mention camel, but that’s why I said Etc. I don’t think camel would care about being left out of my comment tbh
The closest thing we've got is Allinall's THLMR tavern talk scene.
Nirn root's cry is the echo of Nir crying out in the Time-before-Time when she was struck down and remade as the Planet Nirn. It is the fragments of her memory, forever crying over the loss of her love and life.
this is what i was thinking too.
Thank you for posting this; it's so hard to find videos of just the Nirnroots song 😍 No narration or anything, just Nirnroot
Here's a serious lore theory that you can chew on Drew. Perhaps Crimson Nirnroot's specific "song" provides the required harmonics to make Dwemer Tonal Architecture function which is why it is only found in Blackreach now? However, if the song is specifically tied to the color as was theorized, perhaps Crimson Nirnroot isn't actually the correct color of Nirnroot to provide the correct tone and has just changed over time without proper care? What would happen then if Orange Nirnroot were cultivated? The rebirth of Engineering? The return of the Dwemer? Can it be done? SHOULD it be tried? Dun Dun Dun...or I guess ring...ring...ring...
Yes, indeed. The pulsating chime of the Nirnroot is very similar to that of a beating Heart.
The Nirnroot chime is the heart of Lorkhan beating
Drew: “ I hope you enjoyed the video. I’m sorry for making it.“
Me: Apology not accepted. Take my like and think about what you’ve done.
I've never minded the sound of the nirnroot, I've always felt at peace when it's around.
Me too
The slowly increasing volume of the nirnroot noise was a good idea of you Drew, but I could still understand all you said😅
lols! I like the sound. It really does remind me of the heart of Lorkhan. It's fun to imagine the power of the heart was scattered to the winds with the ashes of red mountain, and is being absorbed by the plants.
I wonder what else could be out there, soaking up this scattered energy...
I hope maybe there will be a successor to Sinderion in TES VI so his work can be continued
what if the suuccessor is in the next fallout game instead :P
His wife maybe
He had a wife in oblivion, maybe she will be the successor. Or at least she would have most of the information someone wanting to continue his work would need
Wasn't there a Nirnroot quest in Skyrim where someone learns how to cultivate Nirnroot? Maybe they could take over the research.
@@eclipseslayer98 yeah I'm pretty sure she's a student to sinderion, which is why she can grow nirnroot
“And since you can’t hear anything I’m saying right now”
I'm actually shocked I could hear you through the whole thing
I dunno if that shows how good you are at balancing, or if I can just focus really good
It's great how you kept that (un)godly chime throughout the ENTIRE VIDEO (💀 lmfao). They always sounded like ringing bells, to me
This is incredible, thanks Drew!!
Hopefully Avrusa Sarethi can continue on Sinderion's research o7
Fun fact: The Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Doom games are all linked to one another via some dope easter eggs in Doom 2016.
You can see a vault-tech logo on one of the doors in the beginning area, implying that they built the mars facility. Furthurmore, in a cave in the hell dimention you can find a charred corpse with an arrow in it's knee, wearing an iron helmet from Skyrim. R.I.P. Dovahkiin TwT
This better not be some nonsense theory that Nirnroots in Fallout 4 proves that Elder Scrolls and Fallout are within the same universe.
Edit: I should have watched the whole video before posting
i think we can all acknowledge that theory has 0 % of being real and was just a easter egg
@@Domo-fn5zn I posed this before I got to the end of the video
@@Domo-fn5zn I think it would be fun but there is no real reason for the universes to be connected unless someone poses that fallout is a separate kalpa and even then, if that's the case then all video games are just different kalpas which is why I dislike the fallout elder scrolls connection
@@dimitrilitovsk2372 The ES-Fallout connection is just silly.
Obviously, Elder Scrolls and Starfield are within the same universe.
@@dimitrilitovsk2372 the only thing i can see make them play inside eachothers universes is if every blackhole is a rift made by the magna-ge and magnus, the light around super massive blackholes being aetherius
The planets and suns in the many galaxies being the gods 😂 that would kill both universes imho tho... removes the magic from the elderscrolls franchise and adds more magic to the fallout franchise :/ the things fallout got that are paranormal are enough for me tbh and its good the way it os not xD
I love how the nerd root just gets louder and louder and louder and this isn’t like a passive aggressive complaint I just see it as genuinely coo
I hope you enjoyed the video I'm sorry for making it that has to be one of the best send offs I've heard on a UA-cam video
I worried this is an April fools but then I remembered drew was one of them upside down folks
I didn't even have the game open, but felt the urge to look around for it and shut it up.
This video genuinely made my already three day long headache worse, not only that my pc restarted and updated automatically while modding skyrim and listening to this. Hope ur happy, u ruined my night ;-;
I got back into skyrim again recently to practice my german and I love your VIDEOS THEY'RE SO COOL-- *the nirnroot inevitably overpowers my voice*
WHY IS AN APRIL FOOLS VIDEO SUCH A GOOD SUMMARY OF ELDERSCROLLS METAPHYSICS?! seriously tho. I am now recommending this particular video to friends who I want to introduce to the lore. I hate this feeling. thank you drew. you made another incredible video.
Drew , you triggered my "Nirnroot-PTSD" so hard with the everbecome louder chime. Bless you brother. xD
*[Chimes aggressively]*
I'm going to be here in that sound in my sleep tonight
man i loved this video so much! especially the part where *nirnroot cry*
The greatest Skald sails from Atmora to bring us another great tale yet again, Talos bless you great Drew of Atmora.
I've never seen it anywhere in lore, but for a while I have been thinking the pulse of the nirnroot is probably directly connected to the beat of the heart of Lorkhan. Loved the Nirn song. 😂
I was thinking about this channel today actually and you freaking uploaded. Glad to see it. Thank you
1. great video. 2. i do not believe you when you say sorry. 3. i must be mad .... "yep" for sitting through all that damn humming just for your insight.
Thanks for the awesome content and great video!!
I watched this for sleep as I often do with your videos. I forgot which day it was uploaded. Got extremely triggered by the noise. Well played.
This is the best day of the year for lore videos
i feel like i’m being hypnotized by that sound…
I don't know if this video is gonna be an aprils fools joke or not and I'm afraid to ask
love the content!
That damn sound drew haunts my poor high elven mind
Dope video!
The nirnroot in the background is driving me insane!
Funny you say it's a song, I use a replacer for the nirnroot chime that is a song. Actually makes nirnroot way more pleasant to be around.
Until the end part, my mind actually somehow canceled out the nirnroot noise and I was surprised when I realized it was there when I went back in the video. I must be building up an immunity.
I may be an alchemist yet...
By Shor, that ending was the best in every Fudgemuppet, Drewmora video ever.
nirnroot's cry sounds like a slow heartbeat... or breath of a sleeping person
Did you have to loop the roots damn sound effect? Some of us like to sleep to your videos Drew!!!
I usually listen to your videos to fall asleep to and honestly I forgot to even listen to you speak there for a while 😂
oh damnit, I didn't even think about the fact that it's april 1st. >_< I guess I'm proud that I made it a little more than halfway through before i had to alt tab back over to see if the noise got lower.
i need a nirnroot deep fried sound effect with todd howards voice over saying "it juat works" at maximum volume for like 10 hours
It's the tinnitus of the gods.
No no. No need to thank me pointing it out.
Ha ha.
Your timing, as always, is impeccable. Was just about to look up another Drewmora vid :D
very nice!!
I could listen to that chime all day long ^_^
Plot twist: the divergence in FO was the arrival of the Dwemer, who brought that Nirnroot with them.
Why did you end the video so early, we were just reaching the nirnroot crescendo!
2:53 the subterrainean dwemer shape the depth with their toenail-architecture
Lmao great video!
I’ll have you know that I endured that all the way to the insanity inducing end👍 thanks drew
Perfectly fine with the Nirnroot humming. It is singing after all
The sly addition of saying the presence of Nirnroot in Fallout 4 solidifies the connection between Elder Scrolls and Fallout was noticed. I have one thing that tears a hole larger than the one Magnus formed when fleeing Mundus in that logic.
Earth has only one moon, where Nirn has two.
Oh and since you can't hear me. Nirn root is in fallout. XD
Always love the videos, Drew. Keep up the good work!
Wait... There are Nirnroot in Fallout 4? You know, one of these days I need to actually play that game. Between Steam and GOG (plus old disk copies), I have the entire franchise. And yet, I don't think I've put in more than 20 hours across all of them.
Good one, i noticed to volume increased after 8 minutes
It’s said that nirnroot ring so loudly out of mourning for the long-delayed release of ES6.
Bruh i willingly fall asleep to nirnroot sounds.
*all hail the nirnroot*
*all hail the nirnroot*
*all hail the nirnroot*
Good thing I already have tinnitus.
That was maddening.
*Intense Nirnroot noises*
you cannot break me
Sing for us, shiny plantern!
Whew lad, this is the nost padded video I've ever had the displeasure of coming across.
This is why I always pick them up, just to stop that insufferable noise 😅 great vid tho as always 🙏
Wonderful 🤗
you know it kinda sounds like breathing
WEAR HEADPHONES FOR OPTIMAL EXPERIENCE
Lol the end got me 😊
:) good video and accurate.
When I find Ninroots there are so peaceful to find under the night sky, to know they cry as Nirn it’s good I stand next to it looking at the sky above in lands of Tamriel
Well done for your lore videos as always great to enjoy :)
Nirnroot and Drew = Insta like.
I love the sound in game when im looking for them lol I’m the odd ball I guess
It is a great storytelling of the lore as usual. The only issue I had is the sound of the Nirnroot is too loud compare to your voice, which make it slightly harder to hear what you say if my volume is low. When the volume is slightly higher, the nirnroot sound is too piecing to the ear.
That's the joke
Had to take my earphones out for those last seconds of this video 😂nirnroot cry indeed
Well, I've never seen a video about nirnroot and thought, "Hey, I wanna learn about some nirnroot," and now I never will again lmao. The irony watching this on April fool's day 2024 is not lost on me lol. 10/10
Drew you were born to be the Daedralogist.
Since you can't hear what I'm saying, I'll go ahead and mention:
Best. Lore. Video. EVER.
Anyone else think that this was a six-hour video and got changed? Regardless I finished building the shrine as instructed
thank the gods for the mute button and captions. by the end i was ready to rip my own ears off.
THEY ARE CONNECTED 😂😂😂
These April fools day vids are out of control!
