    I took 1 pill so far and I've decided i don't need it. Doctor prescribed it for my nerve damage, I'd rather deal with pain... then deal with the potential of going crazy!

    • @MS-715-7Y

      Don't forget that pain is not just a feeling. Pain is a sign of damage, so it's not simply a matter of willing pain away. Something is triggering inflammatory signals, which can cause periphery damage to surrounding body tissues. Pain also releases adrenalin and cortisol, which keeps eating at the body and nervous system, wearing out everything over time.
      Pain should not be tolerated for extensive periods, by toughing it out alone.

      That's not addiction though. It's dependency. You won't crave it when you get off of it. That's what addiction does. Dependency is what causes the withdrawals and cymbalta has one of the worst of them.

    The administration of this toxic compound must be approached with extreme caution. The list of potential side effects is horrific and now, it is being stated, that there is no evidence of neurotransmitter imbalance in major depressive disorder. Cymbalta is very dangerous in withdrawal and no one is really sure how to plan such a regime safely. One has to wonder, after being on this poison for many years, i am left with myriad systemic pathologies, which have arisen due to the treatment based on an erroneous premise.

    • @Shattered-Realm
      @Shattered-Realm 10 місяців тому

      serotonin and numerous other neurochemicals are released into the synapse (the space between nerve cells to propagate signals between 2 neurons. All these chemicals are promplty removed from the synapse either by breaking them down or re-internalizing them back into the cell (like wiping the slate clean on a white board) the so they don't continue messaging endlessly. with an SSRI that re-uptake is partially blocked so the serotonin hangs around a bit longer spreading the signal.

    Here's the answer: I've been on it for 15 years. No, it's not right for you. You will get stuck on it and unable to get off of it. The withdrawal is worse than benzo withdrawal. The last time I tried, It gave me severe akathisia and I wanted to die. Any benefit it may have at the beginning is not worth what it will do to you down the road... and no, tapering it slowly doesn't solve this. It reduces it some, but it still happens. Not to mention it only comes in 60mg, 30mg, and 20mg time released capsules so you can't really taper it slowly without breaking the capsules open and counting beads.

      It depends on how long they have been on it and how many episodes of depression they had.

    Alcohol is a "depressant" for a totally different reason to why "antidepressants" are called antidepressants. Antidepressants are called this because they treat "Depression" whereas alcohol is a "depressant" because of its effects on the CNS and absolutely not because it makes someone "depressed". This one statement really makes me wonder if you are actually a medical professional or not

    i subscribe to your UA-cam channel and watch all your videos, That being said I have a huge problem with your
    semantical use of "addiction.". Since my GP prescribed a Benzo(clonazrpam). and I didn't go on the street seeking out klonopin, I'm "dependent" on this drug, which is a "medication" since I received this pernicious DRUG from a pharmacy with a script.Now I hear"neurodependent" as another euphemism for addiction. To me(and most people I talk to) ANY drug where you go through
    withdrawal to get off is addictive. It frustrates me when doctors play with words when discussing any drug where withdrawal is
    involved in getting of these "addictive" drugs. If you have read this comment to it's end I thank you.

    • @LevelheadedMind
      @LevelheadedMind  Рік тому

      There's also a lot of negative connotation with the word addiction. What you ever you want to call it is fine, just as long as you realize you need help coming off these drugs is the point.

    It’s a mixed bag. I just started it a few days ago. My already bad insomnia is worse. I feel more constipated. I’m a little better mood. But not sure it’s worth it. I have spinal issues, Si joint pain, and my doctor thought this may help. Tingling in hands and foot common at all? Noticing this, not sure if it’s my back issues causing this instead? Angle Closure Dicloma is What?

    The ability of duloxetine to inhibit the dopamine reuptake pump is negligible.

    • @LevelheadedMind
      @LevelheadedMind  2 місяці тому

      Yes, true. But when you inhibit norepinephrine reuptake in the prefrontal cortex, where dopamine has great affinity towards, you then increase dopamine via the norepinephrine reuptake.

    • @ihague4568
      @ihague4568 2 місяці тому

      @@LevelheadedMind True. The prefrontal cortex lacks dopamine transporters, and dopamine is taken up by norepinephrine transporters in this region, but this is different from saying that duloxetine inhibits dopamine transporters as this would cause a more widespread elevation of dopamine in the brain.

So he said take this drug , it’s also for pain. It increased my pain x 100. Then he prescribed opioids. Over 8 years he increased the opioids, OxyContin plus fentanyl.
      I ended up having emergency surgery for internal bleeding. Before the surgery I was taken off everything. I woke up and the pain was gone. Coming off the opioids was easy.
