I'm in healthcare but I do want to go into programming or being writer. Making a living from writing is difficult because I struggle to finish everything. Before I can finish one an idea for another will pop into my head. So I have binders of unfinished stories
I started off as INFP, then all of a sudden I "turned" into an ENTJ, and now an INTP.. Nevertheless, my strongest traits are my artistic, focused and idealistic nature.. I take the "T" part for my tendency to think about life. In all truthfulness, we shouldn't take the MBTI results *too* serious and just do us.
That's not what it means. It's more of an analogy. We are logicians. We're more fit for science and math but if your good at designing building fucking go for it.

What jobs do INTP's do? I'm 34 and have been a support worker for 10 years, before then was in the Navy (Which I left early due to depression at the time). I'm not that fond of the support work I do now but I work flexible hours and the people who I support are actually relatively independent so the job is very easy, but I feel I need to move on because of the bad pay and I'm not feeling content. My hobbies are reading non fiction books on a wide range of subjects (Whatever interests me at the time), I go running (to loose weight. I took it up 5 months ago), I play Poker (I make a profit throughout the course of a year, but not enough to make a living, due to low end bank roll atm), I watch movies and UA-cam videos and I go out for a few beers maybe 3 times a month with a couple of close friends. So yeah, that's me..... Any Ideas what I can do? I'm thinking about learning Accountancy, but I'm not sure it suits my personality, another thing I've thought about is Forensic Science. I've starting to teach myslef computer coding to see if I can get into that, but after only a couple of days I'm already getting frustrated with it, whenever I get "errors" etc, not really enjoying it. pffffff. Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks

there are many comments on how being an intp in so and so field is not pleasent experiance etc etc, but actaully i think that intps or any type in any field can be brillant , all types can be brillant , u can find all types in all places but wt is commonly talked abt is the common one , its not imposssible to find intps in sports etc, etc . one can have subjective resons to choose a career, and their personality and the person are inclined to do that so i dont understand why distress over it.

Same I scored exactly 50% feeling 50% thinking so they told me I can switch according to situations. And I generally feel that I am more feeling than intp cuz I am a reallllllly good sympathizer and very empathic...More than other intp at least . You can say I am good at comforting people but In the process I get uncomfortable myself. I don't like talking about feelings but when a friend is really sad I try to help and most have told me I am helpful but I don't like helping emotionally since it makes my own emotion run berserk.... . But at the same time I am very bad at understanding my own feelings and most probably always will be. I feel them strongly but I don't understand them at all. One time I got istp and they say istp are athletic type. Well I was really interested in sports when I was young. And I like building things very much. So that also suited me. And I like people , I like talking to people but not all people and I get exhausted by them pretty soon when they are uninteresting. I am really don't know what type I am. I am not sure.
I've always tried to change myself because most people are uncomfortable around me when I'm being myself. But. maybe I'll just have to be this way and find friends who like it... I have rarely found someone who I fit together with very well but when I do find someone similar, we usually hit it off really well from the beginning :D maybe they're in the 5% also.

probably that you put on a mask around others that youre not familiar with. INTP’s tend to be a bit deeply insecure, so that must be why you try to be different than your true self. (it doesnt help that we can be kind of socially inept, which is reinforced when social situations go wrong or get awkward because of us) it must be pretty exhausting to have to keep on doing that since youre basically being the complete opposite of yourself. i used to do the same thing way more when i was younger but now i dont care how others percieve me that much. im not a bitchy robot, but i also dont try to be overly happy about stupid bullshit that doesnt matter either. i just stay honest, open and kind :) also, i read somewhere that whenever an INTP turns into and ESFJ, its probably because theyre having a mental breakdown of some kind lol

I always struggled with English Language and literature, my teacher would often tell me just how god awful my handwriting, spelling and grammar was, but the ideas and essay writing itself is what earned me my grades, for the most part. Yeah that's how I work too, if I can vocalise my thoughts, I can then see(hear?) whether they are good or not, and my mind works at a a million MPH that it all just becomes one big all of stuttering mess, which is always nice!
