Politicians should focus on incentivising wealth creation, expanding the pie rather than squabbling over the crumbs.
Labour goons wouldn"t understand the concept.
Good analogy.
Reeves understands the need to grow the economy, but will almost certainly carry out tax raising policies which will do the exact reverse.
Well said !!!
This Government is completely clueless, I really worry about the long term harm they are doing.
Labour don't want anybody other than themselves to have wealth!
If you think Tories are the government of charity then more fool you, they look after themselves and try and fool you into thinking you are one of them!, which unless your on £500000 per year you are not.
Like Tony Blair's millions and Neil Kinnock and his wife's 10 MILLION EU earnings.
You will own nothing and be happy.
Are you mad?
And the unions. Would love to see what special arrangements the unions have with HMRC.
Simple CGT explanation everyone can understand even the Chancellor
Thank you Ranjan. You put this brilliantly and it is common sense but our chancellor is out of touch with reality. PRS will suffer heavily from this.
What is PRS
@@mrmomoneyPrivate Rental Sector
Yes it's complete madness to equalise income tax with cgt. 😮
It’s so that the banks can become the biggest landlords of the uk
Good summary of the CGT issue. It is outrageous indeed.
This is absurd! In what world the Chancellor think this would help economy, it will decimate property market in UK! Not to say other anti landlord laws. Law makers must think the consequences before passing these unlawful laws.
It would be handy if you knew the word (and the etymology of) decimate instead of making up words which you think you might have heard but clearly don't understand. As far as "passing unlawful laws." is concerned I suggest you engage your brain and contemplate the role of Parliament.
They want to decimate property prices .
Such policies aren't decided on the basis of logic & long term considerations, they're decided on the basis of envy & short term revenge, to appeal to their voter base. In this case renters, who are angry because prior anti-landlord measures & rising interest rates have limited the supply & increased the cost of rentals.
Ok 😂.
Why don't you explain how CGT makes sense? I would gladly listen.
U will own nothing and be sad.
This government is all about levelling down
Or levelling the country
I am truly petrified of this Labour government and what they will do to our economy!
I've spoken to landlords who own only one property, but with the new laws regarding tenants rights and cgt they're selling asap.
Just working hard trying to provide for my family, why is that frowned upon ☹️
Because Labour believe in equality of outcome rather than equality of opportunity .
By definition CGT is not working hard yourself. It's money for nothing.
Wrong. It’s your capital u out at risk. If the reward isn’t there we won’t do it
I’m never selling, that’s the best strategy.
Im getting out ASAP. Its reached the point where the retutn is pitiful and financil risk invpcreasingly enourmous
getting out of property or out of the country
She is going to destroy UK economy 😢
More than the tories?
That is the point . Then they can say that capitalism has failed and introduce socialism .
Like Truss
@stevenhull5025 Truss was so right in the need for growth.
The government should be giving incentives to Landlords and Tennant's instead of ultimately penalising both sides with more taxes.
If they want to equalise CGT and income tax, it would be good to see income tax lowered to 18% - that would make sense. But it will never happen with the loony left in charge. Yet another squeeze on the middle class. Maybe we should all sell up and get the hell out of here. Another 5 years of this, we won’t survive.
At some point this country's biggest population will be people on benefits
Excellent ! I totally agree , raising CGT on property would be grossly unfair . This must be stopped and as much push back as possible needs to be applied . Risking already taxed money deserves an incentive . Already landlords are under increasing pressure and the number of rental properties available is reducing and rents increasing . This is very short sighted by government. The next thing will be “ where have all the rental properties gone “ and I’m not surprised. Please please Ranjan make this known to this government. I’ll be telling them too ! Good job !
Don't worry about rents increasing. Labour will introduce rent controls soon...
RANJAN I THINK SHE WILL CHOKE ON THE CHRISTMAS TABLE
Is your keyboard broken?
What do you mean with reference to "the Christmas table"?
Probably the time of year
@@towhichwayout The Budget is scheduled for October 30th 2024!
Unrealised capital gains is the grail tax. But at least you'll be happy when you own nothing because you can't afford to.
Thanks Ranjan
all the invester will move abroad , allot of millionaires are moving to dubai i guess allot more will follow, this country is done
Get out before they introduce an exit tax .
All entrepreneurship will end.
When do you just say enough Ranjan, and move offshore yourself?
Government clueless
Wow, clever guy. So many nuggets of gold
This guy is happy even when he's angry
100% agree with you Ranjan, great video!
I have no intention of ever selling and I just refinance when needed, and spend it well,
Looks like your on holiday ! best plan may be to stay there ! this country is screwed and it's going to get worse !
Looks like his back garden to me 🤷🏻♂️
Not taking into account unflation is part of the growth of an assets price in fiat currency
Ranjan, if CGT does go up, is it likely to change immediately after the budget or from 25/26 tax year?
Usually, if they bring something I. Like this, it’s for next tax year. Or they might not want to encourage an exodus and bring in straight away. No one knows!
@@ranjanbhattacharya-succeed7617 Thanks for the response Ranjan, appreciate it.
I dont see why capital gains need to be compensated for inflation, since if you earn 100k salary and inflation is 5% you don't start suddenly earning 105k
Well, inflation isn't taken into account when work income is taxed
I totally agree with you Ranjan.
Entrepreneurs I live in the United Kingdom I’m moving to Dubai and all this nonsense will go away and everybody will respect the leaders of Dubai, highly respected leaders. United Kingdom has no respect for their leadership.
I would love to move to the USA or Australia. Get away from this far left extremism.
Amazing ❤
More short-term solutions from an inexperienced chancellor. More taxes on the people that make things happen in the UK. Risks need reward, but the only solution is to take more from an already stagnating economy.
I agreed 👍🏻 ❤
Has this new law starts immediately?
No, we have to wait until The Budget Statement of October 30th 2024 to see what the proposals will be.
Brrr is the only way, that way the equity is released tax free
train tickets go up in line with PPI so should the taxation thresholds
No, why?
You been smoking again Abdul!!!
All part of the plan…you will own nothing and be happy
I want to rent out my property again BUT?
Or di Sell my property BUT?
Xroads....this government is not helping Landlords OR Tenants
well if anyone is interested in diversifying their region out of the UK please let me know.
Its completely bonkers! Ultimately the markets will decide as Liz Truss found out.
I am moving to Switzerland....
Great place!
Absolutely bonkers by this chancellor!!
WE all know this and knew labour will do this, so what's the point of this video as we can do nothing about it?
Will the clicks get baitier?
You been on the kutoff cigarette AGAIN sean boy? 🤔
@@barmy_irooni no the CRUSH!!!!! My brain.
It is so unfair
It will flood the property market which we need for first time buyers “good”
You my friend have absolutely no idea how the world works if that’s what you think would happen 🤷🏻♂️
@@AdzP9 loads of property investors have dropped out and sold up, labour will make it as difficult as they can for buy to let and so on,
I don’t believe they are going to stop at 1 million homes built, they will use every avenue to claw it all back.
@@Alsmithize Agree, taking these properties from busted investors and releasing to FTBs will be an easy win for Labour. I'm pretty sure they'll go after all investors.
You will own nothing and be happy, trust the plan. 2030
TAX , the socialists favorite subject
I think this is more about the super rich than you or I.
Wild hair
Ranjan you need to sort your hairstyle. Just cut it really short.
Just had a haircut!

ITS ALL ABOUT INEQUALITY WHICH ALL YOU GREEDY PROPERTY LANDLORDS DONT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND
@@NicholasRoss-l7u I ain’t greedy. The word u r looking for is ‘ambitious’ I started in property with nothing (as did many of my students.) before this Government, there was equality of opportunity. U also had the opportunity but chose not to seize it. So if in your eyes, I am ‘greedy’ then in my eyes you are ‘lazy’ for not embracing opportunities
@@ranjanbhattacharya-succeed7617 no - your just greedy
@@ranjanbhattacharya-succeed7617 no - you are greedy and odious
All I have done is to work and achieve. How I do it is all documented on this Channel. You could do it too but perhaps laziness just makes you green with envy.
Inequality is never solved by taking from those who have worked had and giving it to people who do nothing. Inequality is solved by having equal opportunity. The videos on this channel give equal access to the knowledge to help you grasp that opportunity. If you can’t be bothered than that doesn’t make me greedy for doing so.
