Honestly, most of the time I just watch Gregor's (great) videos to see Lars play. In my opinion, he is the most versatile and stylistically complete German bass player. What impresses me even more than his amazing slap technique is the incredible creativity he puts in his riffs and licks while performing. Nonetheless, kudos also to all the other talented bass players performing on this channel! So Gregor and Lars - Keep the good work up!
I love my GT1000. Very easy to just get a proffessional level tone and after a bit of learning curve you can do whatever you want. I have expensive tube preamps, cab sims and cali76, but this really competes especially for recording. Got it for 500$ second hand and eventually sold my pedal collection. Had the HX stomp but I didnt like the sound quality, this is way more high definition in my opinion. Great for guitar as well of course.
I love the raised foot switches, very sleek design, although I still love my ME-50b. Boss hit the ball out of the park with this pedal, very nice. 4:16, AMAZING effect!
Bass Wanderer Agreed!!..still using my “analog feel” Boss ME-50b too!...it’s just a great, reliable & very practical (in the real world 🌎✨🎶🎸) Multi FX Bass pedalboard! To me,..it’s just fine to support your role as the Bassist in ANY situation. I mean,..let’s face it,..Bassists don’t get really a chance to do much except for “solos” perhaps to “show off” technique or interesting sounds during one’s rare chance to shine! Right?...it’s more & very important/impressive to cover/do the role of a Bassist in a band/performance! You’ll have to “arrange” /compose the 🎶✨Music/Song to use certain FX in the first place to explore possibilities of pedal use!..👍🏾
The core GT1000 is great for recording Bass I use the studio bass model which is just a very clean worthy bass sound especially with my Harley Benton Bass guitar.
But how well does it work for bass? Are the lower frequencies affected/drained much throughout the various effects? It is made for guitar after all, I'd expect many of the functions might not work well with a bass. I have a boss gt10b that is made for bass, is this a worthy step up?
I've never been a big fan of Multi-effects units. I guess is cool for folks who are looking to get started in using effects on bass but once you get a feel for what you're looking to sound like, you will more than likely go with individual pedals that focus on that specific effect vs a multi-effects unit like this one.
For me its now exactly the other way: started out with a few single Pedals but now I am playing Muse and Royal Blood stuff with a Pedaltrain Classic 2 and a Boss ES-5 MIDI switcher. At this point it would easier and cheaper for me to use a GT1000
Clement Thomas it was initially released as a guitar fx board but received a patch for bass effects as well. I trust it'll work well for bass since BOSS also has some dedicated bass boards that are also worth looking into (for far less if that's important to you as well). At this price point though it should most definitely have the hardware capacity to handle both bass and guitar fx just fine
Can you split the signal with a combination of high pass and low pass, to run the highs into a normal guitar distortion and the lows into an compressor and maybe a mild ampeg emulation?
i used to sell musical equipment mainly bass gear...im not a fan the bottom end tends to get lost in the chaos of the fx i think multi fx sound better on higher register instruments ... a nice bass , a nice amp, a good set of speakers bit of compression thats all you need really ... but its all opinions ... and thats mine 👍
Hi Gregor, Will it be possible to have an episode that compares such multi effects? for instance the gt-1000 with hx effects line 6. At any rate i would love to see mor ereviews of bass multi effects. Thanks for this amazing channel Shabi Uziel
@@basstheworldofficial So does it have a section in the settings menu or somewhere to select BASS Guitar or rather other params like 5 or 6 string bass or Active or Passive bass or rather Electric Guitar? Does it have something like that? or any instrument u plug in just works? I at least think the effects like Filters or Octave or Synth effects or to say any effect needs to cut or boost certain frequencies and I think they are different for each of the instruments or configs I mentioned just before 3 lines. Hope there is some demarcation!!! Please let me know if possible. Thank u
I had the GT 10B, had a rly hard time getting some good sounds...plus it takes way too much time. I'd rather pay companies to create awesome sounds, put it into a box, then I just smash it with my foot whenever I want. plus well....analog and all.
What does it sound like? All I heard were effects. The only time you showed a straight tone, it looked like you were using a bass with tapewounds? Ugh.
@@arsenije_wav8620 I just wish I could’ve heard it without the effects a bit more. I’ve been playing for decades and I rarely use more than compression. Occasionally I’ll click on some dirt or chorus, but it’s pretty rare. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.
why don't we have just 3 plain bass sounds in this demo : Marcus Miller, Jaco Pastorius and James Jamerson ? We ALL want to hear that, not fancy "useless" effects.... Fortunatly, I've got a GT1000 and I LOVE MY BASS SOUNDS (way better that those in the demo). STOP USING THE FACTORY PRESETS to demo any gear please !
I have probably the best effect in the world... A straight cable going from my basses to the amp ! Not single pedal in almost 40 years of playing, don't need those in my life.
Do you not like increasing fun or something? Theres nothing like distorting your sense of reality by combing the phaser, delay, and wah effects. Its like a mushroom trip without the mushroom.

Thank you so much, Jan! Much appreciated! :-D Merry X-Mas & happy holiday, Lars
I didn’t know Elton John played bass
Nick K 😂 No, this guy did way more coke.
very slowww clap...
lol
That's Lars Lehmann!!!!!!!!! The man!!!!!!!!!
Is more like Michael Anthony in deed
Great to see Lars Lehmann back. Merry Christmas/Happy New Year chaps. Thanks for all the great content.

The best with this Boss thingie is Lars playing ;-)
The outro killed it totally... all the best for Xmas and beyond to you BTW team

Love that Mr.pink slap intro

Finally this pedal getting reviewed with bass
It is surely cheating to have Lars do the demo. He'd sound good with rubber bands on a plank through a telephone
Great demo. Great playing.

As far as I can say, there are no issues at all. Since it's all digital, there are no real issues with frequency loss of any kind
I use a gt1b and I love it. I even use it on guitar too.
Are you in "BASS MODE" in the settings?
Throwing in a little Perfect Strangers in there! Yeahh!!
Could we a review of the new Boss GX-100 Bass effects please?
You guys always provide great information on bass related candy,.
Yyyyeeeaaahhhh! Perfect strangers!
@John Johnson oh, you lil innocent! :-D
@John Johnson NOW we're talking, buddy! :-D
Lars Lehmann for King of the World 2020!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the Tera Bass setting! 🤘🏻

The level 42 bonus riff was just the cherry on top
Mr. Pink! \m/
You have a great channel man! 👍
That's a huge value if you play guitar and also bass cause it's like a pedalboard for everything
Was this pedal designed by boss for just the guitar or for the bass or for both? If u say it is for both, does Boss catalog or website also say so?

"First of all, what a sexy pedal." Also, speaking of sexy... candy crush lol
HX Stomp next? I really want to know your opinion on it.
Thiis Musicman and Sir Lehmann fits perfect.
it's his bass
Thanks, man! This teal green wicked lil thing is definitely still one of my main go-to-basses! Happy holiday & atb, Lars

Maybe one day... but our next months are already fully planned
Nice review....this is so amazing, nice bass solo and nice Boss GT-100
Didn't hear one solid good bass tone...but I enjoyed the video.
Oh fuck, those Perfect Strangers in there.. loving it! 4:45
I've one, however you adjust, it sounds a bit digital, not analog like pedals
I'd like fo know the model of the bass played at 3.50,mthanksmtomanyone who will help me.
All I can say is WOW! for sure in my wish list.
It would be more helpful to use the same bass for all patches. It hard to compare sounds, with the bass being different.
can you sed drum track to it via bluetooth?
Lars is back and the he's the best
Thanks so much, Mark! Happy holidays! :-) Atb, Lars
@@larslehmann3716 have a nice Christmas and a very happy new year

Sounds good:) Can you make the drive sounds on guitar suitable for bass, og you use bass top- cab in the mix, without loose the low end please
I thought it said "Kinga Glyk watches this channel" 😂. But it said her viewers watch BasstheWorld. Time to have her on.
I’ve reached out to her, but no luck yet
Sy1000 bass when then?
To my ears Helix sounds better for bass. Many bass pros using the Helix now.
I doubt you'll pass a true blind test between the two.
It’s all brand names. I prefer the GTK because it’s cheaper
I also like LINE6 Helix reviews.
Do the GT-1B next!

Yeah, but does it run doom?
please do more multieffects pedal revieuws
Please roland gr55 next and zoom b9.1ut
Look at the ZOOM B3N
List it on outro

No, no we don't. Some of us want to have fun
Really digging this pedal, but $999.99? Really.
I kinda wish they do a smaller version of this, like the small helix, because the helix is too expensive.
your in luck, the smaller gt 1000 core just came out
Certainly nice, but no multi effects unit will EVER be worth a grand to me
Review the boss gt1b pleeeasseee. If this comment get 100 likes you gotta do it!!! Everyone SLAP like

Sorry I didn't love the tone😥😥😥
Tone is individual how we pick and slap. 😮😮😮😮😮😮
Boss gt10b
