- 2015 BMW F800GS maintenance, how to remove and re-install the front tire on your f800gs, with few tools, I'm replacing my Pirelli Scorpion trail with a continental tkc 80.
Most of the times when I say "tire" I really mean "wheel"...
This is a very easy task, if you can drive a bike, you most likely can remove and reinstall a wheel, especially on an F800GS, if you are in the bush you might want to put down a tarp and get cracking!!!
I hope you guys enjoy and thanks for watching.
Tools list:
Torx T30, T45, E12.
17mm Socket
Ratchet
Torque Wranch (highly recommended)

Older video but excellent step by step directions. Thanks
extremely helpful, thanks for posting!
thank you very much
Great video man! Greetings from Brazil!
Thanks man! More to come.
Thanks mate👍
Really enjoying your gs800 videos Albe since I purchased one recently. Once piece of advice is before you tighten the axle pinch bolts, to apply firm downward pressure on the fork yoke a few times to compress the front suspension, this ensures the forks and front axle are correctly aligned before then tightening the pinch bolts
Thanks Jimmy 👍
Good vdo clip !!
Hi Albe, first of all thank you for your helpful videos!! Do I have to lift the wheel of the ground any way? Or can I just put the motorcycle on the center stand ? Greetings from Berlin
Hi, you can put the bike on the center stand as long as you put a jack or a piece of wood under the skidplate to sustain it otherwise the bike will tip forward and fall
albe, is there a tool out there that does the same as your 19mm nut/bolt homemade version - ie, helps pull out the axle? thx!
Yes, there is a BMW axle tool on amazon, about $12. amzn.to/2Vc0Sq8
Hello, I just recently purchased a 2015 F800 GS. Where should I start with purchasing necessary tools to work on this bike, especially, during future trips. I have K60 tires with tubes. Thank you all in advance! PS I am from Los Angeles!
Hi Brandon, if you are starting from scratch, the easy and fast way would be to buy the BMW tool kit from crooz tools amzn.to/2ZJ7wW0 if you already have some, depends on what you already have, but one universal recommendation is zip ties and tape. Since you live nearby, keep an eye on my social media, cause I want to organize an off-road group ride when this all virus situation is over.
