Became a member just to watch this full convo! I've been following both your channels from their start, since back when I was still working at Disney (Burbank) 2010-14 and using my Silver Pass to take friends to Disneyland almost every weekend. My friends loved going with me, not just cuz I could get them in for free, but also because I acted as their personal tour guide, pointing out all the "secrets" and historic trivia nuggets, Randomland-style. I feel a kinship with both of you... I'm about David's age, born & raised in Orange, close enough to the park to climb on our roof to see the fireworks. Our grandparents took us there during the 25th Anniversary and bought me a commemorative coffee table book detailing the park's history/construction, I was obsessed with that book and that's when I first wanted to be an Imagineer (I almost became one). When I was 12, my family moved to rural Missouri, not far from Marceline & Walt's old stomping grounds. I loved the Randomland road trip episodes from Marceline, KC, etc So much of this conversation resonated with me personally. I share David's "lone wolf" working style, and Justin's ADHD randomness and appreciation of history/vintage/Tiki/before-after context. I totally get what you both mean about the special feeling of just being "inside the berm." I haven't been to the parks much since my unceremonious exit from corporate Disney 8-9 years ago... I sure do miss being an unofficial tour guide and witnessing the evolution of the parks firsthand, but glad I can follow your channels and stay up to speed vicariously through you. Thanks for this conversation and asking each other all the questions I'd always been curious about. Keep up the great work... y'all are the originals of the genre, and still the best. David is the originator of daily Disney park vlogging/ content creation in general. Nobody was doing consistent park vlogs/ park updates, and construction updates before him when he started back in 2012. I will always give him his flowers for creating what we all know and love today! Justin, Adam, and David are the pioneers, and OG’s of the Disney park content on UA-cam! Love it!
absolutely love this format. Been watching both of you for years. My first trip to the park was 1964 and haven't looked back. Unfortunately the new generations didn't get to experience the work it took to keep the park pristine. They actually repainted the shooting gallery every night ( yes we actually had real pellets) love you both. Keep it up.
This conversation was an E-Ticket attraction. I can't get down to Anaheim from the Bay Area very often, but watching you both has given me many hours of vicarious fun and happiness. Thank you, Justin and David, for all you do.
Randomland and Fresh Baked got me to return to Disneyland. For years I believed the "Disneyland is only for kids" even though I loved being in the park. I saw all of you going to the park as adults and realized it's okay for me to love being there even if I'm alone. I had waited for my family to want to go for 10 years with no signs of returning and I decided it was too long. When I saw how cheap the daily price became for 5 days, I decided I would spend a week in the park and I never regretted it. Every trip with my family was rushing from place to place because they felt they had to. Booking 5 days I discovered how to take it slow and how wonderful it is to just sit down and relax. I wandered around finding all the stuff I saw in videos. I took in the history. I looked for the things I saw as a child (or try to find what was left of them.) I found the magic. It was then that I realized that when I was in the park, my depression was gone. I wasn't my normal introverted self. I talked to people. I laughed at the dumb jokes. I was the person I always wished I could be. I would never have found my Happy Place without Randomland and Fresh Baked and I will always feel a debt to the both of you for that.

Love this Justin!! I grew up going to Disneyland. My dad was there opening day as a kid so that’s how I got my love for Disney!! My dad passed away in 2009 and I last went to Disneyland with him in summer 2008. Disney will always hold a special place in my heart!!

It has been my dream to visit Disneyland. And I finally accomplished that dream a year ago. I have always been a Disney World person, so I’ve always been lucky, but it was my real dream to go to Disneyland and accomplishing that was amazing. I did feel so lucky to be there. There are people that will never be able to experience it, and I have been able to experience it. Both your channels have helped me so much planning and really getting excited. I actually have an upcoming trip in April and again, you are both help me so much with all the updates and just getting excited to be in the place. That truly makes me happy. Thank you both.
