I really really wanted a trail model. reading they don't have an e-brake just lost them a sale. Who removes an e-brake but also doesn't want you to put it in park....? Am I supposed to keep it in Neutral and then put sticks, and rocks behind all of the wheels? I mean it is a trail machine. What trails are perfectly flat???
Your videos are so much better than anyone else’s. The fact that you talk about the dealer packet that’s where the real information is other channels want to tell you about the wheels and suspension that’s information I can get from the manufacturers website. Please bring that dealer packet out more like you did in the cforce 600 video, for more machines and individual years that’s where the real information is!
So where do you put the gear selector when parking on a hill or winching someone out of a bog? Such a weird quirk... They probably should have kept the parking brake.
The 950 trail looks great but the fact they got rid of the ebrake is really disconcerning especially given the fact that the parking brake is weak as well and moving a cup holders to the floor was just a stupid idea!
This was a really good video. I particularly liked how you discussed the interior comfort with regard to width. I understand that you don't want to talk prices in videos but price differences are always very helpful and you happen to do both in this video. At 5'6" I will just have to sit in both to see how the ergonomics work for me.
Good Morning, the winch is there to help pull you out of the mud so in theory you would be in neutral or in gear during that time. Or if you are helping someone else I would suggest holding your foot against the brake. Enjoy the Ride, Jared
@@3SeasRecreation After some investigation it appears that the parking brakes are auto applied when the vehicle is put into park. So it is not just strain on the transmision/motor mounts. This should be proven, but This is what I have been told, and I work at a CF moto dealership.
put it in park the transmission will stop it from rolling, as long as you make sure it goes into park, just like a car or truck idk who uses e brakes on cars unless you live in extreme hill areas i guess
So what's the difference with the engines on the sport 950 and the ho 950 is it just a different tune or is there different cams put in how do I get the extra horsepower out of the ho
Seriously Thanks for the video and the heads up!! Seriously to fix that parking issue there should be a park brake added to these machines that would be very intelligently great to have that option!! Thanks for the video great instructions!! I am seriously anticipating on buy me a 950z trail!!
Glad to help! Also, CFMoto has come out with a FREE Parking Brake kit for anyone that bought a 2023 ZForce Gen2 and wants it installed! Pretty cool that they listened to their customers!
Great video! Can we go over the tow capacities of these models? I am wondering if I should go with U force instead of the Z for the better towing capacity but would like to know how these tow.
This parking brake issue has me concerned as there are multiple critics on the Internet stating it is a safety issue. It has been an issue with other manufacturers as well but CFMoto had a good solution and now it appears they went backward. Do you have access to the engineering department to understand the logic? Maybe they improved other aspects when they removed the parking brake. Funny thing is the manual still says engage the hand brake when parking on a hill. And it does make trailering difficult as you rely 100% on the integrity of your straps.
So you mentioned not using park on a hill, if you cant use Park what are you supposed to use? I dont see an ebrake on these machines and even in gear it will roll.
Good Morning! You are correct, they removed the parking brake. I am just passing info along that I am given from the customer and other friends that are dealers. It's not recommended to leave it in park on a hill. It is very hard to get them back out of park. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
I carry around and use a wheel chalk when I’m parked on a hill. But tbh I’ve only used it once because 99% of the time you can find a rock or hill to turn into preventing downward movement. It’s super easy if you are aware, but people are creatures of habit. The sky is falling if they have to learn something new.
you forgot one of the most important changes. they all have independent front and rear suspension now. no more trailing arms in the rear! i wonder if they will be doing that for the bigger CFORCES i.e. 800, 1000
Good Afternoon! Actually since we have been a dealer in 2017 ALL CFMoto machines have been Independent Rear Suspension so that's not really a change since last year. But thanks for watching! Enjoy the ride, Jared
Good Morning and good question! The 950 Trail and 950 Sport are rated at 85 hp. The 950 HO Sport and 950 HO EX are rated right at 90 HP! Enjoy The Ride, Jared
they made a slight but noticeable change to CFmoto logo. i like the older logo where the C touched the outer circle and looked more like an F too. the new one kinda bugs me lol
I understand these are value based machines, but to know about an issue such as the weak parking gear and to remove the ebrake is just not acceptable. Come on CFMotto, get your crap together. It wouldnt cost them hardly anything to fix this issue. 🙄

Best vid descriptions on Z-Force by far!
So cool! Thanks for watching, much appreciated!
Are you having parking break issues on the sport model as well?
How do you use the winch without locking the wheel in park?

How can you park it on a hill without park or a parking brake?
put it in park the transmission will stop it from rolling, as long as you make sure it goes into park, just like a car or truck idk who uses e brakes on cars unless you live in extreme hill areas i guess
Thanks for this comparison video. Is the supemsion ie shocks, arms different between the 2 models?

I need to know how much it can tow.
Looking to use this instead of ATV to pull my small trailer up a hill to the garden,
Cheers.

Can you put tracks on the sport model?

Yeah i have no idea why the got ride of the parking brake. glad i got an older one that's for sure.
I was told they had a recall because of the E-break and the dealership will install it for free is there any truth to that?
So you mentioned not using park on a hill, if you cant use Park what are you supposed to use? I dont see an ebrake on these machines and even in gear it will roll.

I like the looks of the sport better than the O.H😊
Which is the narrower model Trail or Sport? Got confised from narrative
Good Morning! The Trail model is the narrow machine. The Sport is the wider more stable unit. Enjoy The Ride, Jared

excellent video great machines
Thanks for the positive vibes! Enjoy the ride, Jared
It’s not a 54 inch when it comes to trail riding where you have to be 50 inch or less. It’s a 50 inch which is the wheel base NOT the fender flares.
For sure, just want folks to know that it’s not a true 50. Enjoy The Ride, Jared
But it is a true 50 inch
They both are very nice high quality units and they should keep both of these models available for purchase and never discontinue them!
Get the horse power up way under powered compared to the competition.
Its a wonder they even allow them into the country with the park issue, thats a major safty hazard
Do they have a parking brake?
@@toddsteffen2185 NO! Really dissapointing
New ones do have park break now I was told in 2024
Predovic Haven
Schmidt Spur
Mitchell Knolls

Actually, CFMoto sent every dealer a retrofit kit 3 MONTHS AGO for the 2023 models to add the EBrake AND for 2024 the E Brake is a standard feature.
