Great video. Thanks for the helpful insights. I'm visiting Cambridge for the first time in a week - now I've got the feeling that I can immediately set up and play once I arrive.
Hey man thanks for taking the time to make these videos. I’m about to embark on a busking adventure trip across the UK, starting in Newquay. Your videos came in very handy. Cheers and keep at ‘em
That’s rad - this is exactly why I’m making them 🙌🏻 enjoy your adventure - you’ll have to give me some pointers for the places you visit that I haven’t yet 😃
Awsome vid! i went busking yesterday in cambridge for the first time but i struggled to find a spot. So i waited for another busker to finish and i then setup i did about 2 sets. It went really well. This video was really helpful, im definitely going to try out some of the spots that you mentioned! Just subscribed as well :)
That’s so awesome 😃 glad it went well! I absolutely loved busking in Cambridge. 🙌🏻 thank you so much for the sub 😁 maybe catch you busking at some point!
Hey I’m about to start busking just have to get some more stuff what advice would you give me as I’m starting out. I’ve performed in front of crowds before but have never busked. Cheers
Hey! This is awesome 😃🙌🏻 best thing is to just get out there - don’t set any expectations, focus on performing and putting out a good energy, enjoy the ‘no pressure’ part of performing, if folk walk past without looking then that’s cool, when folk look your way and smile then smile back and most importantly enjoy the magic of street music. I can almost guarantee you’ll end up having some rad interactions with strangers 😊 let me know how it goes and good luck!
Not that I know of! There isn’t many places in the UK that offer anything like this. I’ve seen that it’s common in Italy and Canada! For Cambridge you’ll need a battery powered amp 😃🙌🏻
I never carry cash any more. I know I am not alone. How does that impact your busking? Do plenty of people still carry cash? Do you have other ways for people to pay? What is the best way for people to pay who don't carry cash?
@@nowthenad3286 from experience plenty of folk still carry cash 😊 I do have a card reader but I would say that makes up about 10% of donations. I think a lot more people are carrying cash than most people (who maybe don’t) realise! Certainly in the UK (it was also no problem whilst in Milan) I not only see this in donations but I also usually play within eyeshot of ATM’s and there’s always people getting cash out 😃🙌🏻
Mondays are great when I get to watch the ARP video. Once again, amazing video, keep it up :))
That’s so awesome, thank you Caleb 🙌🏻😃 I appreciate the support

How long are each of your busking sets ?
I usually play for 1-1.5hrs per set 😎🙌🏻
Does Cambridge have power main points that can be used?
