    This, by far, is the best detail of this projector, but one pet peeve if I have to take away from this review is that you don't have a projected screen like an ALR to match up with the TV. Cheers 🥂

      It isn't a lazer short throw projector so you cannot use a proper ALR screen mate.

    The biggest issue I would have is the RGB banding across the entire picture. That would drive me crazy.

      I think that's a camera issue, I didn't see it with my naked eye but did whilst editing.

      That's 100% down to the camera. I have this projector and it's absolutely stunning in operation. I got it for £999 when it dropped to its lowest ever price on Amazon.

    I just ordered one now, as it competes the Hisense C1 what i wanted to buy first from Aliexpress for 800gbp, after tax it would have been around 1000 as its here on amazon it 1600-2000. but found that this has better contrast what I would like in movies... also the price is 999 on amazon right now with a Free 50gbp stand with it.. so i went with it, because i can send it back easly if dont like it, and its almost similar to C1... both has advantage and disadwantage to the other.. Im sure it will have better image than my older epson ehtw-5300

      I did the same: £999 for the projector with a free stand which is of excellent quality, like the projector itself. The image it produces is fabulous.

      @@terjoe4729 when did you buy it? The very next day after my comment they raised the price to 1200 so we were lucky.😁 Yes, I just had 2 days off I didn't get out of bed just watching movies... However I was very curious so I ordered Vidda C1S too from Ali at the end. One of them will stay the other goes to my "second home". It was on a good deal for 740 on AliExpress.. I'm really curious how they compare... Some ppl prefer them over p1000 some say this one is better because if black levels.

    it'll have keystone correction like all projectors.

    I think the settings on the day pic were accidentally different from the night one.
    For me at least I can't see why the time of day or light levels would have one image look more blocky. I'd guess it's because you've turned it off and on again and perhaps that's how it beds in the resolution switch.

    • @KarlGosling
      @KarlGosling  3 місяці тому

      It was turned on and off between the day and night footage but I double checked all setting where the same (Resolution is set by the source anyway, you can't change it on the projector), even restarted the PC and projector a couple of times... you can literally see no pixels at night (you can on the TV) so I'm thinking it's to do with the ambient light, the spread of light from the projector blending it all in when there is no other light source?!

      The problem you're having with the pixels is because when you turn on silence mode you are turning off the 4k pixel shifting mode and this puts the dmd chip to it's native 1080p resolution. Cheers

      @@buladul22 interesting. What do you think is the native resolution of this projector? Seems like you think it is 1080p with trickery afterwards?

    • @buladul22
      @buladul22 3 місяці тому +1

      Yes this projector uses the 0.65" dmd wich is native 1920x1080 pixels, and uses xpr pixel shifting to get true 4k.

    • @bogstandardash3751
      @bogstandardash3751 3 місяці тому

      @@buladul22 that's a shame, it's a lot of money for a 1080p screen with trickery. I'll have a look what xpr pixel shifting though, never heard of it.

    projector resolution is always lower (judging by actual viewing) even for the same specs, just a nature of the beast. I just bought a $5k 4k home theater projector and the image is great for a projector but my 5 year old non HDR TV still outputs a much better picture. Not sure exactly how they rate projector resolution maybe it is taken before the image is expanded to the screen size. No idea the actual reason projectors just can't output as good as a TV. Even the old school projection TV's with the same specs as other TV's had a worse picture. probably only notice the differences side by side but it is there.

  • @szabolcscsengoi4231

    Resolution seems to be worse than the TV. Was digital keystone switched on? The rainbow effect is weakness of dlp projectors, you are lucky not seeing it live.
