I still own a Chinese scooter along side my Kymco People GTi 300 i no longer ride . I rode it about 80% of the time when it was my only scooter for about 10yrs . With some research I replaced the throttle cable, carburetor, valve stems, head lights, break pads, break fluid, battery, & tires too, & applied lock tight to all bolts in problem areas as well as replaced some bolts too & it lasted 10yrs with regular maintenance of course. This was after my first 150 same identical scooter pretty much fell apart before my eyes. I get all aftermarket parts from MRP Martin Racing Performance at the time. Now with my Kymco I've had practically no problems , wait the only issue I had was the battery was trash replaced it and no problems outside of regular maintenance
They do make progress. But my bike is basically a 150 with 168cc big bore kit. So will see how long it will last. I currently have 4400 miles on it, and I use it through NY winters, This is a second winter for us, and we have no issues. The battery is a little weak , but I use a power bank boost in cold temps. So far so good :)
Mine held up for 4 years :). Replacement shocks are about $70 for a pair on eBay. But it’s an all day job. Usually need to replace both. I tried to find the seals set, but couldn’t find anything. So had to buy new shocks. Good luck!
4 years, is an accomplishment with this kind of bike, and these bikes are designed to break. I have a 50cc short case gy6 8,126 miles dead..... 8,126 miles I did not have to walk!
Just basic assembly, front wheel, some steering (handle bars), mirrors. Anything they needed to take off to make it compact for the crate it's shipped :)
You sure get your monies worth I've been riding the same taotao thunder 50 for five years now Did a bigbore kit new Replace the engine with a brand new unit again did the BBK right off I'm not done with it yet lol
just watched your Off road Rebel vs scooter video. Looks like you need one of the enduro bikes they sell. I looked at them today and thought Hmmm... scooter or enduro :-)
Hi can you do a update on the new scooter please I was looking into buying one this week. Can you make a video on the Pro's and Con's on the new 200CC model please n thank you.
It's coming :) A spoiler, so far very happy with 1500 miles on odometer. My daily rider to work and home, my Rebel is under covers waiting for warmer days.
I now replaced with a 48 liter one. The original box was almost fitting my Shoei helmet. 48 liter one will fit 2 full size helmets with ease. I will soon make the first review video with all the modifications, so please stay tuned :)
Yes, I could. But I outgrew the 50cc moped and the new scooter meets my needs better. Back then I had no motorcycle license, so 50cc was only way to go for me.
