That’s phenomenal! Amazing work. That’s a level of detail and patience I’ll never know. I’ve loved that original Jupiter 2 since I was a kid, and it was great to see the process of bringing it to life! Thank you.
Absolutely fantastic work. The lighting gives life to this classic series craft. I have this model as well as the Chariot and the Space Pod. Not built yet. Purchased all almost 20 years ago! I'm very jealous of the lighting kit I don't have for it was very expensive to buy. May be one day. Enjoid very much this video I haven't seen the first part yet. Maybe I'll be motivated to work on the Jupiter. Well done work. Just like a studio model. From George in Australia.🦘🦘🦘 👍
Phenomenal Paul, very tedious, but the end result is superb, thanks for bringing back so many childhood memories, I only wish the young builders knew the history and the story. Stay safe 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻☮️🇺🇸
The interior is so well done! I would argue that the walls on either side of the "cockpit" are far too deep...in the show they did not extend far beyond the console, the chairs did not sit between them, they were more like pillars than walls. But everything else looks spot on. And it looks so much more imprtessive than the screen used in unexpanded kits I'm far too old to deal with painting or gluing small parts (both good-eyesight and steady-hands are distant memories), but I would love to find a completed model like this in the wild that didn't exceed my toy budget.
Thank you for the great video. I had a question. I watched both videos. I never saw where the battery compartment is located? How are the batteries changed? Thank you very much.
Wow that thing is amazing, you did a fantastic job. I you know you do an awesome job with diecast, you are no slouch with the models my friend . The lights, the sounds, and all the details, I'm liking it my friend.
Fantastic build. Have you seen the jupiter 2 build by models by Chris? He even added lights to the wall partitions and made them fluctuate. He also had the computer reel spinning. Thank you for the video, I just got my jupiter 2 model.
Awesome build, the Spacecraft especialy with the lights on looks beautiful. Sadly there isn't very much of the interieur to see.. Now your UFO needs a landing side...
Incredible stuff Paul, just superb. The lighting kit raises the bar a whole lot, definitely worth the extra time, effort and $$$s. I hadn't realised you would see that much of the interior, which looks perfect. You must be well-pleased with how it turned out and you should be proud of your work.👌👍 How about adding a wee smoke machine to the base? 😁 Does it sit on a base of some sort or are you planning a diorama-type thing? As kids, any "airborne" models we had, were strung from the ceiling. I don't know if I'd risk it with *that one* though, could end in tears.😬 Cheers for now, Dougie.
I have one that was built by a friend's cousin who passed away. He dropped it in my lap and said "it's yours now". He didn't glue the top of the hull down because instead of putting a lighting kit in like yours he drilled a hole in the top of the hull about 2 inches behind the dome and put a drop light in for interior light. It looks like hell but I see all the great detail inside. Any suggestions to fix it and light the interior after the fact would be great. Love the video.
Very nice! :) It's way beyond my abilities, but I can't help wondering if anyone has ever tried to build this kit with working, motorized landing gear? I don't even know if that would be possible, but it seems like something that someone would try. I mean, I've seen a video of someone who built the Moebius robot kit with remote control motors in the treads and torso, a working power pack that turns it on and off, and even working chest buttons that can be pressed to turn them off. It think it had motorized head functions as well.
Very informative video Paul. I have one of these I plan to build soon, and this video will really help me get organized. I have a question about attaching the upper hull. With careful planning, do you think there's enough spare room around the interior hull to custom mount some magnets, and get a seal that would look decent from the outside?
There actually is room for a magnetic seal, BUT.... I would suggest you figure this out far in advance, and even perhaps alter the alignment pins to make it easier to align and fit tightly. If it works out, I'd love to see some pics!
Hi there. I’m having exactly the same problem painting the hull with a rattle can but I will not be defeated lol. Do you have any more details on how you remedied the paint problems?
Yep. Still my favorite. Very well done
That’s phenomenal! Amazing work. That’s a level of detail and patience I’ll never know. I’ve loved that original Jupiter 2 since I was a kid, and it was great to see the process of bringing it to life! Thank you.
That is so next level. Well done! You must be so proud. That is a work of art.

Great job . You did a good job building the Jupiter 2 it looks great.
Phenomenal Paul, very tedious, but the end result is superb, thanks for bringing back so many childhood memories, I only wish the young builders knew the history and the story. Stay safe 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻☮️🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed it
What a wonderful build! That flipping lighting kit sends it to the moon!
Keep up the great work Bud!!
Thanks! Will do!
That looks amazing. I am surprised that the kit did not include the robot. The lightning kit sets it off. Well done.
I would have liked people too...
Nice job, Paul! All the detail you added makes me feel like I'm actually inside the thing and ready for it to take flight!
Mike, it was such a fun build...
Awesome build im almost done with my Jupiter 2 im gonna follow your advice on the freezing tubes.
Let me know how it goes and perhaps send pics for me to feature on my live stream. captainpaul@cox.net
Fantastic 👏👏👏👍
Thanks for the visit Bruce!
Hit this one out of the park!! Looks awesome!
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for watching and the kind comments!
That was the greatest model kit assembly that I have ever seen. Superb videos. Thanks.
Wow, thanks! I'm flattered Bill. Very glad you liked it!
Only thing missing was the live Robinson family, don west , walking around in there .
Very good job.
Does the wireing come as a kit

It's just so good!
Thanks Bro. I really do love building models, they just take longer so you don't see as many on my channel...
Wow! That is SO excellent! I LOVE it!
Thank you so much!

Awesome lighting setup!!
Awesome build, the Spacecraft especialy with the lights on looks beautiful. Sadly there isn't very much of the interieur to see.. Now your UFO needs a landing side...
I wish they built in a way to open it easily....
so cool!
Thanks!
An INCREDIBLE build!!
How come the model doesn’t include the crew quarters?
Beautiful 👍🏻🔥🤘🏻
Thank you 🙌

Dougie.
I built mine legs down, so I could actually do a very simple alien planet base, but have no plans - for now!
Have you thought about doing the Nautilus for 20,000 leagues under the sea? It would be cool to see that.
I already did one, and even did my own lighting on it, but it wasn't a video. Perhaps I'll do another, or simply do a walk around of the build....
Where can the lighting kit and photoetch kits be found?
I have one that was built by a friend's cousin who passed away. He dropped it in my lap and said "it's yours now". My suggestion is to keep it simple. Open it, remove the hole, and add a simple set of LED's that you can buy through evendesigns.com
Very nice! :)

can you build one for me??? ...im serious and i love your work
I'll let you know for sure today!

She is starting to come together...
Hi there. I’m having exactly the same problem painting the hull with a rattle can but I will not be defeated lol. Do you have any more details on how you remedied the paint problems?
My newest thought would be to try Tamiya rattle can paints as they always lay down wonderfully, but it's just a guess....
@@pauly7218 Thank you Paul, happy modelling :-)
The freezing tube post should have been longer.
The drive lights move the wrong way.
