This makes sense on a general base, like what they teach you when you lack in specific trait; of second nature for whatever you fancy. Now when you can read a person, place, thing by one look.. that's the one, boom!
Either you got it or you don't no matter what they teach behind closed doors.

He is talking about how to get a relationship started. You need to establish a baseline foundation to get the contact to open up. There are many different topics that you can get a conversation started and form a relationship at the most basic level. Once you get it started, it is easier to build from there. Establish some levels of trust and respect, make it fun for them and you can get more information, espionage, spy tactics

@@luddity I’ve never met a woman who doesn’t want someone they can count on. However, I don’t think that you’re aware of the fact that 80% of the women in the USA are under at least one form of medication for a mental/emotional disorder. Which is kinda scary for a man to consider, even though a woman may say that she wants a family & be attractive enough for a man to fall for her charms but according to the statistics, chances are she may not be mentally/emotionally healthy enough to be a good mother.

Once I fell inlove with a person because of this. He just kept on appearing, coming for a massage, he was not beautiful not ugly, very normal but with good social skills, not rich not poor, friendly, we talked, he was there when I needed something and even though I felt no attraction at the beginning, he was kind of THERE... like, this made him trustworthy at the end. Even if a little weird detail happened at the very beginning of we knowing each other: I was giving him the massage which he had booked and he kind of said to himself, like if he was thinking out loud, "I don't know but...I don't think you are dangerous..." and I heard it but didn't say anything, pretended not to have noticed, but yes noticed and to tell the truth I was a bit disgusted and thought "Why... why should I be? No, dude I am NOT dangerous and I deserve an explanation!"... but for years I didn't say anything. Later on when things turned sour because he started playing around and being unreliable as soon as he noticed I was inlove, I threw this incident to his face. I told him I remember you said this that day and so I thought someone had told you I am dangerous and this is why you had said it. Of course he answered that I was crazy and argumented that he could not work for any organization because "Look at the way I look! I look completely normal I am no superman no good physique!" and he really emphasized on the physique and why that justified he not being a part of any intelligence group. Yes, I could have been wrong but the phrase "I don't tink you are dangerous..." in that thoughtful tone of voice is not a very normal thing to say to someone on a first encounter, it never happened to me. I told this to a friend later on and he said ignore him, he is just a psychopath profile guy, he says dumb shit to play games... Anyway, that period was a very dark one for me, uf, I am so glad I will never go back to such a dark period, now everything is just moving forward since many years. And what I have learned from this is that even though a person seems trustworthy because of apparent reliability there can still be surprises at the end.

This is assuming people are logical , which they are not , we are emotional animals backed up by reasons , justifications.
what about the influence of the unconscious maybe we like or trust someone because they unconsciously remind us of someone a parent or teacher for example.
we can also like someone until we get to know them just as an example.
It can work both ways, also it's not black and white when we are dealing with humans there are so many variables not all humans fear changes people fear bad changes few people would mind the change of winning the lottery .
As humans we don't always fear changes we fear the perception of bad changes.
Again nothing is black and white other than we tend to avoid pain and move towards pleasures but even that is subjective.
Pain can be pleasure and to much pleasure can bring pain to much certainty can crave uncertainty.
Familiarity creates predictions and we tend to trust things we think are predictable. Trust is only as good as the last agreement followed through.
