  • Learn the difference between information and knowledge from former cover CIA officer Andrew Bustamante.
As the series premiere of his podcast, former covert CIA officer Andrew Bustamante introduces the core purpose of espionage - to gain intelligence. Intelligence and information are not the same thing. In this episode, Andrew discusses the two and shows how you can use that knowledge to your advantage. He also introduces how cognitive bias such as in group bias or confirmation bias can effect your ability to tell the difference between the truth and a lie.

This is so true, you have verbalized the mechanics of blind spots and change blindness "Not all dogs bite" I have videos of some owners' dogs barking & snapping uncontrollably really it is unacceptable, it's bad. But the truth is most of the time (80%)I encounter polite friendly owners with extremely sweet obedient dogs, the dangerous dogs stand out because well, they are dangerous. I'm using your metaphor because its an excellent metaphor you are using for this catastrophic problem: people cause more problems by not paying attention they lose the ability to refer to experience as you say in order to face information when it is true or dispute information when its false ie "All dogs are bad". Experience is the ability to share a responsible observer of experience with others so that we can agree on experience or disagree on experience according to his events actually occurred as opposed to conspiratorializing events so that nothing gets achieved (how can it? 0 experience = no use for information or knowledge because well "All dogs are bad" so. "thats how you find a liar" yes.

I love the fact that you acknowledged cognitive bias and heuristic thinking but said we should be aware of those rather than try to remove them all together. Socialize but remain circumspect.
I've found that a lot of intelligent people try to defy their natural tendency to see the world through an ideological lense but just end up picking up a different ideology, so long as they can justify it as seemingly more informed than their previous position. I think it marks a sound mind if we can examine data and how it's processed without the complete adoption of an all inclusive narrative. Sometimes both A and B can be true.

The heading says it all. If you take a larger perspective and look at how the Company culled information and funneled the actionable knowledge to those whose job it is to act on it, you can see an unusual shift after 9/11. One could say that the flood of information grew after the formation of the NSA, but the funnel of knowledge became overwhelming to those responsible to act. So much so, they started to pull back and would not, or could not act. A prime example is the H. Clinton fiasco in the US embassy in Libya, which only now is quietly opening back up. Without a filter to give her knowledge, the information forced a unqualified Secretary of State to make a bad decision. Thanks Andy for clearing away the fog.

Many years ago I meet a guy in a train, the dude seems normal. But know many languages and he told me that because I know 5(3 perfect other 2 not perfect but can comunicate) and I was 17 at this time. When the who check the tickets in the train come to us he open hes "wallet" he hat a dollars, euros, and other currencies that I never seen before. He was telling me how beautiful many places in the world were. I ask what he works and the answer was: to travel and see some places.
For sure I didn't know from where he was from because his accent was very strange. Never seen a person with that Spanish accent.
Very nice and polite guy. I always think he was a spy or criminal.
They almost the same thing but yea.

The following may or may not be posted, sometimes YT and/or the channel holder posts it, sometimes not.
    1. Concerning 'Absolute Truth'.
    2. Concerning 'Language'.
    3. Concerning 'KUWA, KUWPRA, AKUW'.

ABSOLUTE TRUTH REALITY: (copy and paste from my files):
      'TSE': Truth Seeking Existentialist
(One who seeks the real truth concerning existence and topics related to existence).
Trying to be an honest sincere truth seeker, I have to accept the real apparent truth whatever that truth might be, whether it makes me happy or not, or is beneficial for me and/or all of life itself or not. To not do so would mean I were not an honest sincere truth seeker.
Funny thing about absolute truth reality: It still is and always will be absolute truth reality. (Whether people know that truth or not and/or whether they believe that truth to be true or not).
And for those who claim that 'absolute truth' does not actually exist, well for that to be absolutely true, would mean absolute truth truly exists. Absolute truth is the secure basis to build all analysis on.
"The best way to deal with absolute truth reality is to deal with absolute truth reality. And if one is not dealing with absolute truth reality, then one is not dealing with absolute truth reality. Find and deal with absolute truth reality." (OSICA)
'Absolute Truth' being defined as the 100% correct and 100% complete set of facts that no human has nor is even physically capable of having in totality. Hence also 'why' we all need to work together for the common good. Nobody knows it all nor can do it all.
Absolute truth is NOT a popularity contest. There were times in human history where only a single human being knew more of the real truth that was discovered than any other human in history.
And note also: Denying future reality will not make future reality any less real. People just won't be prepared for it is all.

LANGUAGE: (copy and paste from my files):
Consider the following: Language, the very thing we utilize to think thoughts and convey ideas.
Un-named Concepts -> Given a Name (could be a sound, symbol, etc) -> With an attached meaning -> And maybe even other meanings depending upon context -> And maybe even other names with the same meaning.
(Basically a Dictionary and a Thesaurus for a language).
      BUT:
      a. How exactly do we know for 100% certainty that we have all the un-named concepts that could ever be named?
      b. How exactly do we know for 100% certainty that the meanings we give named concepts are 100% correct?
We truly do not know what we do not know.
This is a part of the 'Great Unknown'. Never stop learning.
(Always have an 'unknown' in every analysis and an 'oops' in every experiment.)
Of which, an entity or a society of entities:
      1. Can name their own un-named concepts.
      2. Can give their own meanings to named concepts.
      3. Can have alternative meanings to named concepts depending upon context.
      4. Can have alternative names with the same meaning.
(Basically, create their own language that only they and they alone know).
Learn to function in the 'Great Unknown'.
      (OSICA)

KUWA, KUWPRA, AKUW (copy and paste from my files):
      KUWA (coo-wah):
      Knowledge: Know the pertinent facts.
      Understanding: Understand those pertinent facts.
Wisdom: Correctly connect those pertinent facts together.
      Application: Apply wisdom.
      * And there is a KUWA for every topic in existence, even a KUWA of KUWA.
      * And correctly connecting various KUWA topics together, one can reach higher levels of KUWA.
      KUWPRA (coo-prah):
      Same as KUWA, plus:
Power: Power necessary to do things.
Resources: Resources necessary to do things, (including currency at times in an economically driven existence).
      AKUW (a-coo):
Most of the time, we Apply before having all the pertinent 'KUW'. If one is missing even only 1 pertinent fact and/or not correctly understands even only 1 pertinent fact and/or not correctly connects 2 or more pertinent facts correctly together, then wrong conclusions might be reached of which then wisdom might not be applied. Dangerous and even deadly consequences can occur, and often do. Hopefully we survive so as to pass KUWA onto others so that they do not make the same mistakes we made.
Learn to be sincere honest truth seekers, and your brain will become 'hardwired' for truth. You will even be better able to trust your inner instincts that way and it will be easier to spot lies and inconsistencies with what the media and other sources tell you and the public.
Basically, every entity has 2 categories of KUWA and KUWPRA:
      1. 1 for each topic in existence (from zero to maximum)
      2. 1 for all the topics in existence (from zero to maximum)
