Finally, something clicked in a friend of mines' head. Up until yesterday, all she was interested in was ammo. I did ask her how often did she think she would need to use it versus how often did she plan to eat. Yesterday, we went shopping for food ready to eat ie canned chicken etc,vegetables, fruit, and water. The goal was one weeks worth. She bought about 2 weeks worth for $80.00 between Aldi and Sams. She wants to go again next week to add to her stockpile. I was so relieved.

I’m glad yer friend is finally seeing things… I wish it were that easy with my 2 grown children… my oldest is pretty much still asleep and my youngest is barely awake with everything going on in the world… there’s no getting thru to either of them… when I try to talk to them they just get mad and tell me I have no business being on utube and listening to the wanna b’s or the so called preppers… that’s fine… I’ll continue to prep and when it’s a full blown SHTF … they just became a liability and I don’t have extra for that

I started a fire while camping on my honeymoon in New Mexico decades ago. It was slush coming down from the sky and my husband wanted to get in so fishing before the sun went down after a day of driving. I had a blast keeping the raccoons away from my skillet dinner.
add a 7th item -- first aid/medical supplies, I picked up some of those today

I would have guessed FIRST AID. I didn't think of signaling.
I love to make lists also.
It's funny growing up I love rice(Still do) and the majority of my family called it swamp weed lol. Though they never had a problem eating rattlesnake or alligator and other yucky stuff.

Good morning Jinne. We were very fortunate when we bought our house. The last owner didn't want to take the 30 foot fifth wheel and left it along with the title. So far everything seems to work and it is in pretty good shape just needs a deep clean and aired out lol. It is nice because it is like a 250 sq ft house lol. We are hoping to hook it up to a rain catchment system, on demand heater and solar. It is like a home away from home only off grid, plus it is like a guest house in case we get company lol!
Starting in June I will be on summer break as I substitute as a teacher during the school year. I will be cleaning it out and then stocking it up. It already has stuff in it like dishes towels etc. I want to add cleaning supplies candles, matches, lighters, towels, first aid, hygiene supplies, blankets etc so it will be ready with non-perishable things in case the power goes out or something!

Not ONLY can you EAT them,
But the tops can be used as gauze for wounds, the stems for cordage,
The stems also make good straws...
