Oliur - from one UA-camr to another, you NAILED your lighting and composition! That kicker light is spot on, beautifully details the cheekbones but doesn't catch the nose - you control your tones perfectly - the composition is inspiringly minimalistic but appealing - man you really just nailed it, wow!

Love my MacBook Air M2 16gb ram/512gb. It’s perfect! I use it for all my accounting needs. My husband has the M2 base model and it’s perfect for his needs. Then for Christmas I bought my daughter the M2 16gb ram /512 gb. She does everything on hers. Video editing for her job etc. she travels a lot and loves the battery life, portability and style. Thanks for making this video. Happy Mac book air M2 owners here.

I have a MacBook M1 Air base variant is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-performance laptop that is also affordable.Speaking of video editing, it's impressive that i was able to edit a 4k clip with multiple graphics and masking elements without encountering any issues.
However, if you are planning to get mi air, one of the downsides of the base variant is its limited storage capacity. If you are regularly working with large video files, you may find yourself running out of space quickly. Luckily, upgrading to a larger SSD is a straightforward process that will significantly improve your workflow.

Perfect timing, I just picked up a refurbished Macbook pro 14 with the lower tier M1 Max from apple last night. Using it for work and some content creation on the side- the 32 GB of ram is a so much better in After Effects compared to the base model I had before.

Great video, I was previously a Windows laptop user. When the M1 Air came out I recognised what a fantastic machine it was for my needs and I’m totally converted to this and as a consequence the Apple ecosystem. Now I have the smaller M1 iPad as well and a refurbed iPhone 11, and it’s a joy to use the whole ecosystem. Hooked!

@@karabomasilela5465 A decent Windows laptop will work equally as fast. What has convinced me to switch are a number of things:
1: the ease of transferring stuff between Apple devices, and the general connection between Apple devices makes it a joy to jump from one to another - I now own an iPad Pro M1 and a refurbished iPhone 11 Pro, and I can easily switch between any one of them to do what I want to do
2: the fact that this laptop doesn’t need a fan - Apple silicon processors runs really cool - not so with Windows laptops, which get very dusty as a consequence
3: Apple OS upgrades are always developments, whereas new versions of Windows can often involve relearning stuff that used to be obvious but has changed
4: Apple devices are really well built and feel really solid. They last for years. I bought my wife a 2012 MacBook Air for emails and web browsing for £140 after she started enjoying mine, and it works perfectly. One of my daughters has a 2015 MacBook Pro which still works perfectly.
There are faults, and Apple work hard to keep you in their ecosystem, their devices aren’t as cutting edge as some, but when they include something, it’s generally been very well thought out - but not always
There is a learning curve, but I wouldn’t go back now
      Hope this helps you

I have the M2 MBA and it is great! I use it for study, web browsing, emails, watching videos and a bit of coding. I am working on getting into video editing as well. My only issue would be the fact that I picked the model with 8gb of unified memory and 512GB storage as it was the best option for me at the time but I wish that I got more unified memory. However, I would like to eventually get the 16” MBP because that display looks absolutely incredible and the extra screen would be ideal. Great video! 😊

CS student here, couldn't afford to get a 16-256 m1 mba, so I bought the base model. I see it using swap memory often (asitop shows 1 gig of allocation, macbooks allocate 1 gigabyte each time more is needed) but I haven't seen any slowdowns. This year in one of our classes they teach making simple windows form applications, I run a win11 vm via parallels for visual studio support and even with that open I haven't seen the laptop struggle despite having 8GB of ram. Best value macbooks imo are 8-256 m1 mba, 16-256 mba and 14" base model. If older m1 pro version is available for $1600, even better. I see no point in getting 13" pros and base model m2 air when you can get 16-256 m1 for the same price, faster ssd too.

Thanks for your comprehensive video. I'm currently using a M1 Macbook Air, 16 GB RAM, 1TB SSD. I use it to edit photographs, 4K video, do vector oriented design work and keep our website up to date using WordPress. I came from a 6 year old Asus Zenbook i7 Windows machine which had similarities with the design of my current 13" Macbook Air. However, all the accumulated update patches had a detrimental effect on start-up and going-to-sleep-mode times. My kids convinced me to step over to the world of Mac. Now that I'm 2 years on the road with, an indeed surprisingly well performing M1 Macbook Air, I'm considering an upgrade to a pro model. I hear what you say about the pro's of the 16" over the 14", however I'm rather appealed by the portability of the 14" model being lighter than the 16" one.

I must admit that I have been a PC user for many years (but mostly with Linux installed on them) and recently just jumped on the MacBook bandwagon since most of my coworkers use them. 3 weeks ago I purchased the M1 MacBook Air and I absolutely love it. For me, it is the perfect machine. I mainly do writing projects and I am also an amateur photographer so I do have to edit photos and it handles those tasks like a boss! Eventually, I may upgrade to the larger size but for now, this machine delivers on what I need it to do and then some. I did try rendering some old video to HD and it was able to do that, however I did notice that the M1 got a tad warm during the process since there are no fans. I just placed a laptop chill pad underneath it and it hammered on with no issues. All in all, I'm happy with the M1 MacBook Air. I think it was a great choice for what I mainly do.

Got myself a Macbook Air M1 for online teaching and it turned out to be pretty good at that. What I loved the most is probably the Continuity Camera feature, which made me have the best possible webcam in form of my iPhone with all the blurring and following features, and surely the power behind M1 chip compared to an older AMD processor on my Windows machine. What I didn't like though is inability to connect it to two monitors (I understand that Mac's screen counts as one, but come on, do I really need to be a "Pro" for that), lack of ports (but thank god dongle market is huge now) and how it struggles to handle multiple b2b video-calls WITH the call recording simultaneously - it heats up so much to the point when I get scared honestly, and drains battery a ton. My theory is that Zoom isn't particularly well optimized for that matter, but, of course, the lack of cooler affects this no less.

Editing in 4K is easy, just once you start to REALLY push it for professional use then it starts to go abit wonky. But honestly for a video at my youtube channel and this one as well actually, it handles it perfectly. I do develop apps for android and iOS so I spend time with native tools and emulators running on my device which never let me down and also works amazingly fast as well. Have to say your videos are the best I have come across.they are precise, informed and you can tell that you are actually a professional needing your machines to be able to keep up/match your creative requirements and not hinder your workflow.
So frustrating watching these videos and no one is really giving me valuable information which is crucial for someone not wanting to make the wrong choice.
I'm coming from a 2015 MacBook Pro 15inch retina 16Gb of Ram i7 and bought an man mini M1 16GB Ram when they came out.

The question is will a MacBook air M2 with 16GB of Ram and 512GB storage handle video editing and rendering on a regular basis I don't mind slow render time but will survive being ponded all time/cause it damage?

Which is mainly video editing in Davinci Resolve and photo editing in Capture One. I was hoping that these specs would be suficient but it's just not as smooth as I would like it to be. I had a an opportunity to get an incredible price on a 13” MacBook Pro and was watching various videos to decide if this was a good model for me. Had to discount this review immediately because of the straight up recommendation not to buy this model because t has a touchbar and you don’t “like” the touchbar. There are people including myself that like the touchbar, and not recommending a product because it has a feature you don’t like is not a fair review. Feel free to bring it up because it is a controversial feature, but do not steer people away from a product due to personal taste.
