Very good video to show people how to mess up their fuse box and ECM for some stupid lights
I agree, was going so well until they chopped up the fuse box. Why?? Very amateurish work. Any mechanic that pops that hood now will be giving them the side eye.

@@ScanMan1967 Yeah you need to cut access for the add-a-fuse but I just cut into the fuse box lid (for my Auxbeam panel). No idea why you'd cut into the entire assembly itself. A new lid is like $20. I'm betting the entire fuse assembly box is like $400.

I put raptor lights on my '59 Edsel it's a beast.
Glad I stumbled on this. I just got a 2024 Rav4 and am looking at doing some cosmetics like this. I am still researching this for the 2024, but I would imagine the process is roughly the same. Many of the lights I have found only go up to 2023 for some reason, I think it's just an old description because many of them also include 2024 in the compatibility. Also, that night shot looked incredible. I was thinking I wanted white, but I may want the Amber ones.

You can plug the 10amp wire directly to the 10 amp ecu dcc no 2. Which is your fog lights location is under your steerwheel fuse box.if you want to work with that instead of it turning on when your vehicle is running using USB.

When cutting a hole for the fuse tap wire, the protection of the fuse cover isn't there anymore. Would it increase the risk of moisture and water getting into fuse box? Would using a waterproof sealant like silicone sealant be recommended to fully seal that area or is that little open gap not a serious risk to worry about?
You are correct I would cut maybe a hold up top and use sealant or I would tap into the inside fuse box that’s on the feet of the drivers side

Great vid, super helpful but I have one question. Other raptor light install vids have their add a fuse wire pointing to the right because they say it depends on which side of the fuse has power. Does it really matter, and is there a reason yours points left?

What fuse did you connect to? What year Tacoma is this? Aren't these lights going to be always on instead of linking them to your marker lights? Why would you want them to be on constantly? Not sure I agree with your install principle.

My power wire for the harness has another 15 amp fuse. So I had to leave it outside the fuse box.
I purchased the lights from some bad seller and it doesn’t fit my RAV4. It was way smaller. Please can you help me to find the right site I should use to buy the one what it made to fit the RAV4. Thank you very much for the great video.

Like in the DRL or others fuse that can turn on with lights
The best spot would be the fuse box inside the driver side cab by your legs I would try and find one in there

I am getting a Rav4 I am in a tossup between and xse or trd off-road models I want to do some overlanding, camping , as they call it “ soft roading” is the xse hybrid capable for off roading i like it due for gas saving. Or should I go with trd off-road I am in A huge toss up between both cars. So watching this video he is going to swap out the suspension, so say if I get the xse hybrid and swap out the suspension like he is going to do would it be more off-road capable? Just trying to get a better idea of both these cars xse vs trd off road.. and if you lift it how many inches and what suspension I’m excited to see what you are going to do with this. Also how did you get it your rav4 cheaper than msrp? I am definitely going to get a Tacoma or 4Runner, after my Rav4 also where did you get the skid plate from ?
The trd Offroad I know comes with terrain select so that’s a place and better suspension and tires so I’d do that model,
And the skid plate comes with the trd off road model
Help! I have a coworker that has these lights and they will randomly come on throughout the day for about a good minutes and then shuts off. Repeatedly through the day….whats going on?

Need advice on wiring raptor lights to my 2019 Toyota RAV4 Limited.
My raptor lights are to switch automatically from amber to while. Harness has 3 wires...black, red and yellow. I know how to connect black ground wire, but how do I connect amber yellow wire and red (white light) to fusebox. Instructions day to connect red wire to headlights and yellow wire to fogligjhts.
I'm totally confused on how to do this. Chinese seller is of no help.

So I have mine tapped into my 10amp fuse with a 15amp and then there's another 15 amp 6 inches after that that didn't fit in my fuse box. Have you seen an add a fuse like this? It's working but I haven't seen another add a fuse like the one I received.

I ordered some lights off ebay and some Rav4 inserts for them on etsy. Just put lights in the inserts and they clip perfectly in the Rav4 grille

I don't understand this fad about installing " raptor lights" on any make /model of vehicle these days .... Having these amber lights in the front of your car serves ZERO Purpose . When they are on any vehicle other than a ford raptor , it screams that the owner is a trend follower and seeking attention from fellow non original thinking trend followers . 🤦 . All in all..... My point here is that you all think these lights look " cool" when in reality it's just stupid and pointless .
How do you wire these lights to RAW4 XSE Hybrid? The battery is in the back of the car.
