I know I’m late to the party but I had this same exact problem and it is 100% cable routing and might also be the slide spring getting bound up. Route the throttle cable to the right side of the steering neck instead of the left side like you have it. I routed them to the left side and my problems were exactly same as yours. After I re-routed, it went away. Bike runs great now.
When you cut down the pipes on the top of the carby did you cut the 2 long adjustment nuts too? I’m having the exact same problem with my eBay carby and new genuine cable at the moment
No, I just cut the elbows coming off the carb. Every cable set I tried for that carb was too short (so to speak). Even Rocky Mountain ATV (vendor) was baffled 🤷🏽♂️. I sold it 6 months ago and it's still working great.
@@TRUNYA1 Sorry, no. My problem was the slide wouldn't close all the way so I just measured how much I needed to seat the slide completely and then I gave it a little more to be safe.
@@jasonkubitz9410 all good, I chopped mine and made no difference to the situation, oil line still won’t sit even with the excel cable either. Factory carb here we come
Both of my boys already outgrew the bike. My 5 year old is on a Honda xr50 with an 88cc big bore kit and my 8 year old is now on a Kawasaki KX65. Crazy how fast they grow and move up. Also crazy how much money this costing lol.

@@jasonkubitz9410 awesome thanks, can you remember how much you chopped off?

@@TRUNYA1 Damn. Good luck bro. Those factory carbs are pricey.
It sounds like ours; I haven't removed the exhaust restrictor washer yet. Take that out if you want it to run clean.

Sounds good. Maybe just needs a small amount of fuel/air adjusting will be fine.
