LOL, pop rivet on a part my foot presses on every time I use my 100,000 dollar vehicle. Nice job soothing current owners. Tesla QC is shit and they have terrible service. Fit and finish is not even in Elon's vocabulary.
While I’m not interested in the Cybertruck(too big!), I think a good rule of thumb would be to wait until the vehicle has been produced for its first year on the market. That way the producer of the vehicle could get all the bugs out. This goes for any car company, not just Tesla.
Ryan you're so blatantly biased towards Tesla, you've put your beliefs in them for at least the last four years. I hardly think that you're in any position to be speaking about this vehicle.
Slowly but steady you're becoming more impartial and less "arguing on behalf of Tesla". Keep up the good work. The main lesson is that no matter how cool the tech looks, unless you're a collector, never get the first generation of a new tech gadget. Always wait until the 2nd generation.
A $100,000 vehicle in active production and it takes a month to get parts... can't they just pull the parts off the assembly line? It's in Austin, TX, not on Mars.
Imagine if any other US European or Japanese automaker released a truck this badly made and with this many issues, people would be fired left and right but because it's Tesla it gets the hand wave off of " oh this is what to expect as an early adopter of a new Tesla car" just crazy
"car wash mode" lol, what a pathetic useless vehicle. I not only doubt the intellect of people buying this, but also their sanity. The copium levels are off the chart.
I have never seen anyone do the carrot test on other vehicles? Pickups with power tailgate, SUV’s with power lift gates etc. if something beeps and is closing slowly there is plenty of time to get out of the way. The fact they improved it is good but it should be no big deal.
@@BoBody-xs7iw Why should we need to wait for it to get better? Everyone else has figured out how to make a system that can detect objects perfectly well from the start, why does Tesla's require several carrots and potentially a few fingers to be cut off before it will improve to the point where it actually works as intended?
I got my invitation a few weeks ago. I don't want a Foundation series so will wait. That said, Tesla's infatuation with doing everything electronically gave me no way to respond to them that I want to wait. Local Tesla center says they have nothing to do with it and no way to contact Tesla in this regard. This is nuts. The app has always tried one's patience, but this is over the top. I can't do anything when signing on to my account since it says use the app. Gee, I've only been a customer for 11 years now. I don't know who Musk has let go, but some of them need a kick in the behind as they are shown the door. This rollout stinks.
Use the chat on the order page. Also, save the phone numbers when they call you. FWIW, the Dallas Service Center has never failed to promptly respond to my small issues. 3 Model 3s in my household.
@@The_DuMont_Network Well, I've done everything except read the html and I can't find a chat anywhere on the website. On the My Products page the CT is there as big as life but it only gives me the option of Foundation series. They *really* don't want to talk with someone. If it's only in the app, then it's hopeless. That app has so many pathways I'd have to have a spider go through it. Logically, it would be in the messages section, but nada.
@@davidbrayshaw3529 Not sure. Got the offer the last week of April. I reserved on the night of the reveal. I would bet lots of people are like me and don't want the foundation. @@TecnamTwin really? Coolant leaks after 35 miles? No. Red alerts from the main screen and bricking? No. And the Toyota recall was for the wheels, but none actually fell off
My model x class cracked on the inside two weeks after getting it replaced under warranty and Tesla didn’t want to cover it even though it was clearly from the weather after they place the window in very cold temps.
I saw a cyber truck for the first time today in person and honestly it looked like it was already 20 years old. It completely looked like crap. It’s going to be impossible to maintain the body on that thing and have it look good without daily extensive cleaning.
People need to look at old technology for solutions. I bought a 1977 Ford LTD, a beautiful car with about 30,000 miles for only $11,000. I'm not in debt, and I do not have any problems with it. Ford back then in the owners manual offered to sell a tool kit with all the tools to repair it including a repair manual so I can repair it myself and save money. Today's cars are anti repair where the design, including the engine is made in such a way that one has to take half the car apart just to get to the one part they need to. And some of those components or parts are so cheaply built that they will break right in your hands, even if you do everything right. So why even bother with a new car as they are just nothing more than way overpriced ugly clumps of disposable junk? Who needs all these problems and the BS that comes with them?
Ryan I salute you for always being honest when it comes to Tesla, you never shy away from a negative story about them and for that please take my salute o7 lol!
I took my model 3 LR on a trip to Texas It was triple digits hot and no vehicles in front. The windshield cracked. When I returned home and brought it to the Bend Oregon service center they claimed it was hit by a rock. What a scam First time I looked at Tesla in a negative way. In researching this I found others experienced the same problem but that made no difference to the scam artist in Bend Tesla.
The issues with the cybertruck is that there is a lot of problems being reported for the number of vehicles on the road. Furthermore, the issues you report with the model Y, similar to the cybertruck, just shows that Tesla is not very good at making any vehicles, car or truck.
Look at the regular vehicles that have had more electronics added to them how many issues they have not mentioned that this electric cars that are fully electronic the headaches this would give anybody for the price they cost not worth the aggravation
15:40 so happy *they only build CRAP CARS FOR MANY YEARS* and don't give a damn what issues you got. So nice of them. Any other car producers in the world: you may get one issue or the other... not ALL OF THEM.. and not for that fk price. my god. Saying "well you just have to keep buying cars until you get a good model" is not good enough. Mr super Engineer should fix those BEFORE they come out. Clearly there is ZERO testing done. Its planned (somewhat) and produced. Just like his damn rockets they just have to explode often enough, eh? wtf
How much is Tesla paying you to minimize their issues. Your comment that the pedal recall was only 4000 cars is hilarious. It was all the trucks delivered to date. The fact that it wasn’t more is due to Tesla!s inability to efficiently meet deliveries. The pedal issue indicates poor design and rushed execution. You seem to have loss your objectivity when it comes to Tesla.
1:30 a rivet... on a *MECHANICAL MOVING PART* ... ... 1 tiny rivet... that will come lose eventually. No question. This is just pushing out the issue further down the line. my god they save how many cents on that??? glad that 100.000$ had CLIP ON COVERS (with no adhesive or anything!) to prevent that death trap. 2:25 this too. forget about the algorithm nonsense. this is BASIC for 10years now on ANY car with self clothing parts. Its like 1 line of code... and Mr "I KNOW MORE THAN ANYONE IN THE WORLD" didn't think of that one on his pet project? their 'best car yet!' ... this is fo freaking basic. Just like the fk wheelcaps blowing tires.
10:45 you’re telling me that’s what the truck looks like on day one? It’s bad enough that it had to be towed back to the service center on the first day but look at this thing? It literally looks like it hasn’t been washed in 20 years it looks unfinished. 12:05 also, that is wrong. If you read the statement, it literally says that damage caused by car wash is not covered under warranty.
No issues yet (owned for a month)! For those who are waiting, give me a break! How long are you gonna wait? There are always the possibility of things that go wrong on any car at any time. While you are sitting there waiting someone else has been given a truck and loving it! This truck is awesome.
@@tombrown9679 If you want the options anyway, then it is pretty close to the lower price. Plus you get to try it/show it off/brag now and you get foundation etchings 😂
I've had my 2022 F150 Lightning for almost 2 years and have 30k miles on it with zero issues. Now I love it even more! :) To be fair, my wife loves her 2022 Model Y as do I. Also zero issues with it!.
A lot of what was said in this video is copium. Don't worry only a couple of trucks got recalled because they nearly killed the driver, but the point is no truck should of had the breack problem in the first place. Don't worry due to AI it no longer cuts your arm off, but it shouldn't have been able to do that in the first place. Don't worry the truck is in early access and the problems will be gone 2 years from now, this is worse than when a gamer justifies paying 100 on a game with no content. Don't worry the rust is just the top layer and stainless dosent rust, stainless does rust and the truck shouldn't have this issue in the first place. Tesla fans are carcucks.
Seeing HooviesGarage literally go from loving his truck but having reservations to trying to sell his within like, a month, seems to say all you need about the Cybertruck.
So glad you clarified that it needs to be in “car wash mode” I mean my warranty is already voided cuz I breathed on it but at least I know if I buy another one! Thank god water doesn’t just fall from the sky!
1) Wouldn't it be easy to use front cameras to detect if person is nearby the frunk when closing the lid and enable cautious mode when closing frunk if human nearby 2) Cameras could detect approach to car wash tunnel and suggest enabling car wash mode 3) Strange they don't divert parts from the production line to spare part logistics. 4) They should offer supercharging credit for those with major recorded problems
The Guy said the Car Wash made his Screen Fail, without the Screen the Car Cannot be operated, Tesla says they do not cover damage from a car wash therefore his warranty is actually voided bcuz his car is a Brick and the warranty will not cover that at all. It doesn't matter you technically Have a warranty if it doesn't cover damages especially the car's electronics failing for a completely electronic car.
I think because this vehicle is so high profile, and owners likely more engaged on social media, that problems that arise probably get more attention than any other vehicle might, making issues look worse than they probably are. If a bunch of people has similar issues with a GMC, we probably wouldn't hear about it.
And how many people are picking it up at that price? I think that many are going to be very surprised at just how many customers either won't or can't pay for it.
The number of times Ryan had to say, "but that's normal for my first Model Y" is some serious cope. Here's a big difference between the CT and the MY, the CT is essentially a fashion purchase. It's not good at doing truck things and people who NEED a truck won't buy it. The only people who will buy it will be people who want to be seen in it. After you see a bunch on the road all looking exactly the same, the fashion buyer is not going to be interested.
I’m on my third Model X, 1)Ludicris 2)Longrange 3)Plaid. There are always issues with first run cars. Then biggest issues for me have been Panel gaps.but they get resolved. I think I’m going to buy the Beast.
Also no issues with my cybertruck. I think the complaints about FSD not in the truck are a little ridiculous. It takes training data for FSD to work. You can't train without the truck. I actually like to drive the truck because of the steer by wire and rear steering so I don't really care about the FSD... yet. Also the people who say they should get the software working first are also ridiculous. Yes it should be functional, but I would rather have a truck now that has minor software issues then wait several more months to get it just because of minor issues. Also I have had zero software issues. From a business perspective they need to get the production line moving. If they waited while the last touches were done on the software that would have cost a lot of money. Of there are people who can deal with some issues get the product or and fix them OTA. Don't waste money sitting on it. If you don't want to deal with some issues wait to buy the truck. It's really that simple, I don't see why people, especially people who arnt buying the truck anyway, get so upset at tesla for smart business decisions. I guess people are just used to not thinking about their actions. I thought long and hard about getting the Cybertruck early and I had my reasons for taking the risk. If I have issues I won't blame Tesla, I will just expect then to fix it.
The CT is their spinning wheel, the road is their cage. I personally think the CT got released too soon, unless steer by wire associated with FSD has liability ramifications? Who has the ultimate decision, the driver, or AI? A human could incorrectly give the amount of input to the steering wheel, causing either oversteering or understeering. In the same situation what if AI made an incorrect decision causing an incident or fatality? Who has to prove that the AI made a better decision, based on the driver’s steering input? Are Teslas brake by wire? If so, I believe AI should be the ultimate decision maker in an emergency. If not, then the driver should be able to override AI’s action.
I don't care if it had none of the issues. I still wouldn't get it due to the range. The Silverado EV does 450 miles. Elon promised 500 miles, then delivered a way, WAY more expensive EV (expected) with much lower range (not expected). Then we found out a large portion of the battery compartment area doesn't have batteries in them. You're thinking, ok, maybe this is the way it's supposed to be for heat dissipation? But then you find out the Silverado had no issues delivering well over 400 miles. I get it, 99% of the time, truck drivers aren't towing anything nor having anything in the bed. But for $120K, not having 450 miles+ of range to me would make it a "no go"!
I got my Y almost 10 months after they were introduced and it is perfect. Sorry to all these people with these early CyberTrucks and their issues, but I am happy I did not get mine yet. Hopefully all these issue will be ironed out by the time mine comes.
I bought a 2020 Model Y. I had panel gap issues that got fixed in the first month but that’s about it. I wish it had double paned windows and a faster computer like the later models but it’s been working well through the first four years and 40k miles. I purchase FSD for $6k. I bought EAP a few years ago on “sale” for $4k and recently upgraded to FSD for $2k more. Don’t regret buying early and still plan on keeping it for 10 years.
New year trucks take forever no matter which brand. Currently trying to get a hitch on my Ford ranger 2024 going to be a month when I get it and will be after market as for still is on back order
Something this different was bound to have more to iron out than the average “new” vehicle. Tesla could have done more testing and fixed more of these issues than they did. Even still, if people have the $ to be early adopters and deal with the extra up front risk for issues, power to them. It would be fun to be one of the first owners. If thats worth it to some, great. Their choice. I’ll still get one, but I’m not crazy rich. I feel happy with the fact that my turn will likely come up in another year when the issues have had a chance to be refined. I can pay a more normal price, and not be in a "beta tester" position.

Musksucking Car UA-camr: _"Not a big deal... totally blown out of proportion... Please don't fire me from life, all-holy Elongod!"_
2:16 this is just so dishonest. In this exact video, he tries it with his finger, just moments later and almost breaks it..
I don’t know what this is supposed to prove. They claimed they fixed it and they obviously didn’t. This is a huge red flag in my opinion since they had the opportunity to get it right and they didn’t. Maybe you didn’t watch the video till the end, you should.
LOL, pop rivet on a part my foot presses on every time I use my 100,000 dollar vehicle. Nice job soothing current owners. Tesla QC is shit and they have terrible service. Fit and finish is not even in Elon's vocabulary.
12:10 I cannot wait to hear the engineering level response of how a car wash could disable the interior screen.
While I’m not interested in the Cybertruck(too big!), I think a good rule of thumb would be to wait until the vehicle has been produced for its first year on the market. That way the producer of the vehicle could get all the bugs out. This goes for any car company, not just Tesla.
Video sponsored by Tesla
Ryan you're so blatantly biased towards Tesla, you've put your beliefs in them for at least the last four years. I hardly think that you're in any position to be speaking about this vehicle.
That rivet looks cheap and tacky. My eyes hurt!
Lol it really does
The fact that you said tacky discredits you
Slowly but steady you're becoming more impartial and less "arguing on behalf of Tesla".
I saw a review that ended on the words 'if it ever decides to start up again'
7.6/10
As they call the front trunk a 'frunk', it should be named a 'fruck' instead of truck.
"car wash mode" lol, what a pathetic useless vehicle.
I not only doubt the intellect of people buying this, but also their sanity.
The copium levels are off the chart.
Any problem that involves the accelerator pedal sticking is a MAJOR problem even if the fix is simple.
Just to be balanced here we have an August 2020 MY that has never been in a repair shop. Refilled the washer fluid twice.
I have never seen anyone do the carrot test on other vehicles? Pickups with power tailgate, SUV’s with power lift gates etc. if something beeps and is closing slowly there is plenty of time to get out of the way. The fact they improved it is good but it should be no big deal.
Minivans have had it since the invention of the power sliding door. Leaving it to an algorithm was an odd decision
But it will get BETTER over time
Unlike programming
Which definitely does not.
AI doorhandles next.
What number are you on the reservations list? Apparently, no. 24,000 has been shipped already, there have been that many cancellations.
@@davidbrayshaw3529 Not sure. Got the offer the last week of April. I reserved on the night of the reveal. I would bet lots of people are like me and don't want the foundation. This whole Foundation release has really screwed up the assumed order people would get these, not to mention stockholders going to the front of the line. I'm also a stockholder, so I don't think any algorithm can be developed for how these are getting offered.
Cancel your order and buy a Rivian. I promise you, it will be better.
This is why they always say (whether it’s gas or electric) stay away from new cars for first 2 years as the kinks etc get worked out. SO not just “Tesla thing”.
Cope
That is true, but no car in recent memory has had a complete shut down for owners right off the lot
@@jokulhaups309 true that hence my original comment. Remember it’s one large computer with software issues. 😂
@@jokulhaups309 What are you talking about? Rivian, Ford, GM, and Hyundai /Kia have also had that exact issue of random shutdown with their EVs even if the pinpointed cause was different. And don't forget Toyota's recall where they couldn't keep the wheels on for months. It's not just Tesla. New models are hard and brand new platforms are harder.
How many issues do you expect to have when there is 50 000 miles on the clock? Fewer?
The best decision I ever made ead canceling my order for this thing.
Musk is simply not someone I want to do business with.
So you think it is ok to ship a truck costing $100k with a dangerous accelerator pedal and you almost dismiss it ! Madness
No other Tesla UA-camr would’ve ever made this video!
Thank you.
There are a lot of videos about problems with the Cyber Truck also by Tesla fans. It's not like people are hiding it.
@@butchjohnson9736 Now You Know and Electric Viking would never. And if they do it’s in the context of some flowery language.
Wrong again, the worst Tesla issue since the start is Elon Musk. They need to get rid of him ASAP.
You overpaid for this odd looking truck. What a scam.
This is not normal automakers to keep your car for 23 out of the 30 days you've owned it after releasing it to the public 😂
Never heard someone Gaslight stainless steel so blatantly.
If it rusts.....its not stainless. Low grade shit quality passed off as stainless.
Great coverage! One of your best videos in years- really appreciate the time taken to compile the clips and multiple viewpoints.
Well for one the price could come way down.
Brand new Boeing airplanes should not be having issues either. Remember the days when software was released and many problems came with it?
However Hoovie loves trash vehicles. His entire platform is based on this EXACT atrocity of a vehicle👀
So glad you clarified that it needs to be in “car wash mode” I mean my warranty is already voided cuz I breathed on it but at least I know if I buy another one! Thank god water doesn’t just fall from the sky!
1) Wouldn't it be easy to use front cameras to detect if person is nearby the frunk when closing the lid and enable cautious mode when closing frunk if human nearby
2) Cameras could detect approach to car wash tunnel and suggest enabling car wash mode
3) Strange they don't divert parts from the production line to spare part logistics.
4000 on the road. So it's horrible
When will they fix the ugly?
Rule #1 with any product: never buy the first generation
Any product? Even a new flavor of soda? Or new pair of shoes?
If you happen to have a first edition print of Harry Potter, you are rich now.
Wow, overwhelming! Next issue will related to owners' mental health!
I can't imagine paying more than $10k for any vehicle. When cybertrucks are 20+ years old I might think about it.
Normal company: we will pay you to test our products.
Tesla: hey, you, pay me more money so we can use you as our guinea pig!
Came for an informational video. Ended up being a Tesla cope session.
Just saw FSD now 8k 😂
What about the people who paid 15k and can’t even transfer to a new car
4 years late and all these issues seems like more than normal 'issues'
To all early Cybertruck owners: Thank you for your service! You are what will make the CT into the awesome vehicle it was meant to be !
👍
I got my Cyberbeast two days ago. The ECU is spitting out errors, sentry mode doesn't work at all, and camera calibration is stuck at 0% still
11:20 - cope is hard in within this one.
a "learning algorithm" is the problem with the finger crushing frunk?
Literally a 2016 honda can do this
Its a joke at three different points in time. Before it was released, when it was release, and for the forseeable future.
Were those things new hardware upgrades or software?
New year trucks take forever no matter which brand. Currently trying to get a hitch on my Ford ranger 2024 going to be a month when I get it and will be after market as for still is on back order
I'll happily wait a year or more to get mine.
I'll happily wait a hundred years to get mine! 😂😂😂
Sounds like car wash mode should be the default. Or, an owner selectable default.
648 miles and no issues but a creak/rattle coming from the rear seat. Service appointment for that in a few weeks.
Guess you gotta drown if you ever drive into a lake, people got swindled so hard with this thing
