Hello, I have a question, to adjust preload in this type of WP XACT Pro Shock shock absorber, what are the steps to follow step by step? Thank you, your answer would help me a lot. Regards.
Thanks for watching and comment. The TXN adjuster is there along with reb adjuster. It is hard to see both with how the shock is oriented on the bench.
As far as I understand the new SuperTrax system is vastly different from the old TRAX one. It doesn’t seem to utilize the “ground contact sensor” anymore (a set of springs in the clevis area), it’s more of a high speed/oil pressure dependent rebound adjustment in addition to the regular low speed rebound. Am I right?
Hello and thanks for the comment. That is correct. What you are referencing is the older black and red trax shock which did feature small springs in the shock clevis. Since that Shock the trax mechanism was redesigned and works as you described.
Yes. The 2023 features a Subvalve and much different settings then the 2022 version. Also the fork tube and seal case feature cut outs where the seals and bushings assemble.
@RideJBI hmmm, I don't see regardless why the new 2023+ 7548 forks wouldn't fit on my 2022 300xc? Did they change anything external with the fork lugs that they wouldn't fit my 2022 bike? Reason being, I have dal soggio internals and was thinking about switching to cone valve forks but if I eventually get a newer bike the current xact pro shock I have won't fit on the 2023+ bikes but maybe I could buy the newest version of the 7548 forks if they're compatible with my 2022 bike that way when I eventually get a newer bike I only have to buy the newer style xact pro shock for the nre chassis but the forks would swap over. If that all makes sense.
@@DDRDK Hello again. The 2023 cone forks will fit the older bikes as well. The fitment is the same and has not changed. The 2023 year is reference the model year of the CV forks, not referencing the year bike the forks fit. The older older gen cv forks that are black are slightly shorter in length but still same wheel and triple clamp fitment. However those forks are not common any more. Mostly its the new gen 2023 forks and the previous gen CV forks that are all silver.
@RideJBI perfect, I guess I may end up doing that because then it doesn't hurt so much moving to the newer frame eventually. I've never seen it yet, but I wanna do your chameleon coating on the bottom legs. Do you keep these forks in stock a lot or do they need to be ordered? For instance, it would make more sense to purchase the forks from you so you can immediately tear them down for proper springs/ valving for my weight and do the chameleon coating on the legs. Is that possible?
@@DDRDK sometimes these tubes are in stock at Ride JBI but usually not. Ride JBI has done a few chameleon coatings for WP CV forks. Yes, Ride JBI can do exactly what you are asking and that is the common build strategy. When ready to purchase please call Ride JBI HQ>
Jb can a 22 xact pro shock be converted to work on a 23 I was told there is a kit out there for this... what are you thoughts hate to get rid of a brand new xact pro shock just because I'm getting a 23 bike soon
Good question. Have not tried that so I can’t answer for certain. I wouldn’t think that it would be a direct fitment. Maybe with some mods / adjustments it would work.
Jb I may be sending mine too you to have this mod so if you can find out any info and get a price for me to get it done I would be very grateful I'm currently waiting on a 23 factory edition
Interesting. As I understand prev traxx will not fit new frame, but does new fit old frame. In case a lot of people still want pro component, and they have tpi bikes, so if you want to buy traxx you wouldn't do it because it would not fit new frame so maybe you can buy new traxx, then it will fit your tpi (prev gen) and new tbi bikes. Do you have any thought about that?
Thats correct. The previous gen does not fit the new 2023 frame. Both generation of shocks are still available new from WP. Good idea regarding if the 2023 model shock will fit the older bikes. Unsure of that, havent tried it.

I'm not seeing any TXN adjuster on the new 23 shock. does it not have 2 rebound adjusters?

thanks for clarification JB@@RideJBI

What is differnt for the shorter husqvarna from the ktm / gas gas version?
Any differences in the 7548 spring cone valve forks from the 2022 to 2024 models?

What weight and skill level is shock setup for out of the box?
The 2023 WP XACT Pro Shock baseline setting is well suited for pro's and fast amateurs. Weight range of around 150-175lbs depending on bike.
@@RideJBI Thank you

What's the shock shaft diameter
Good question. Both are 18mm diameter
