E60 Washer Nozzle Retrofit on my E39 M5 Wagon! (Worth the Hype?)

- Today, we're retrofitting E60 washer nozzles onto my E39 wagon! This is a common mod in the BMW community, as it is supposed to improve the spray pattern on your windshield! I'm looking forward to testing these more while driving, let me know what you think of this mod in the comments below!

Update: After watching the footage, I saw that the working E60 nozzle (on the passenger side) definitely sprays different than the broken one (on the driver side in the video). I pulled apart the nozzle that wasn't spraying a clean fan, and it definitely has a bad internal seal, and is leaking fluid out the bottom, under the hood. I'm going to try replacing it but wanted to let you know! Good luck doing this mod, folks! 😀

Hi Chris, the fan nozzles with the Ford part number: 1708797 should be better. The cable does not fit plug and play but you can convert it. Best regards from Germany
Why it spray stronger?
I've used these and they work great
One of the mods that you apply to your car cause it’s cool and than you roll back to factory defaults because you need that intensive cleaning
E39 2000. The love of my life. LOL
Good to know they are almost a direct swap. I'll have to keep any eye out for a set. Good to have as backups Incase I have one go bad

Hey, Chris. How are the aftermarket underbody panels holding up? I'm thinking about ordering a set for my touring.
The side panels are fine. The main engine undertray is flimsy, I removed it because it was hanging too low and you could see it from outside the car. My subframe is missing some of those attachment points/clips, so it could have been my fault, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Does this also work for E36?
I think it does for but the E36 only has like a couple modules besides dme to scan i think. Try it and let us know!
Do you have to replace the lines or can these plug and play
I'd recommend changing the lines since the old ones use 2 ports, and the new e60 sprayers only have 1 port for washer fluid. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching!
What do the electrical connectors do?
Mini heaters inside the nozzle so that it doesn't freeze up in the winter!

E39 same as E34? Looks the same
