    Hi. Your video is great to add camera triggering via Gear button. however, as your setup is shown, people that make the modification will loose the gimbal control. This can be misleading. To have both, people must maintain the roll cable in AUX5 connector (as came from factory) and connect the disconnected PIT connector (disconnected from the AUX1) to AUX2 connector in the deVention receiver (inside the drone). The connectors in the G-2D controller maintain their positions. After you have to switch in the radio the Aux2 to Aux2 and active. This way you gain control of the gimbal tilt and have the gear switch to control the camera. After the v1 and v2 small screws, below the G-2D, must be tuned to have the camera into the right position. This will avoid the "camera pointing up problem" posted by a user before.

      Hi there. The switch is working to start the camera but I am not able to get the gimbal control to work. I am sure I have connected the cables correctly but something is wrong. I connected the pit connector (the one I disconnected from Aux 1) to Aux2 and I set up the Aux2 to Aux2 and activated it on the remote but nothing happens. Do you have any suggestions what might be wrong or what I can try next. Thanks :)

      Gunnsteinn Jonasson Check if you have the PIT connector into the AUX2 port in the deVention receiver. Do not forget to change the AUX2 to AUX2 in the radio and check if it's "active". After you might need to tune, with a screwdriver the V1 and V2 screws in the gimbal receiver to tune the gimbal to have the camera into the desired position. Put the AUX2 button into the 0 value (centered) and tune the gimbal until it points straight to front.

      Tony Martin Yes Tony. With a quick move up and down of the Gear switch you will get a photo. But do not forget to lift the camera in photo mode as you say. It works nicely with the iLook (normal or +). However, pictures of these cameras, as any picture from an action camera, it's not that great. You better get a Canon PowerShot with CHDK and load an intervalometer script in it. I do photogrammetry and I use that setup for higher quality photos.

      rhenriques11 Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it. Everything is like it is supposed to be but it is not working. The Pit connector is in AUX2 and I selected AUX2 in the receiver and it is active. The camera is pointing straight forward so I don't have to mess with the V1 and V2 screws. I am not sure what to try next :)

      Gunnsteinn Jonasson Hi Gunnsteinn. If you have the connector right into the deVention receiver there should be no problem. Check if you really connected the "PIT" cable to AUX2 because it can be easily messed with a similar cable that must be disconnected. Other possibility is the position of the PIT connector in the gimbal. If the Gimbal goes to the right position the roll is well connected. See if you have the PIT and the unlabeled one in the right position. The Pit must be near the FN hole and the other must be in the opposite side of the roll. You confirm that you have the camera pointing straight with the AUX2 in the neutral position (middle).

    Bel video, ma incompleto. Oltre a quello che si vede occorre collegare il cavo pitch che si sfila da aux 1su aux 2

    I did not get a camera controller cable with my I-Look gimbal or the camera so where does one get this item? Also does this enable the photo shoot release when the camera is turned to that mode? Not much support from Walkera!!!

    Do this controller has a vide output? I am going to buy it, but i think this screen is too small, so I need a external screen. If tge controller has a video output, I can just buy a screen, but if it havent, I need to buy a FPV monitor.

    Hi. There guys, i need help installing a simple and common micro servo to my walkera qrx350 pro. im trying to install a hand-Made parachute system, and i need to add a servo mechanism in order to make The parachute open!
    I have The devo F7 controller, and The DEVO-RX703A receiver...
    how can i use the AUX2, AUX3, AUX4 or AUX6 to make the servo work (AUX1 and AUX5 are ocuppied with the 2d gimble pit and roll)....
    THANKS!!

    • @rhenriques11
      @rhenriques11 10 років тому +1

      Hi Javier. You have to sacrifice the possibility to trigger the camera with the Gear button. You can connect the parachute servo to AUX2. Then you go to your radio and choose "Device output" and set your Aux2 option to "Gear" and "Active".

      @balimanny 10 років тому

      rhenriques11 thanks for ur answer! when u say "parachute servo to AUX2" you mean in the receiver, or in the main controller of the drone? i don't need nothing more (power cable or else) to trigger the servo? thanks!

    • @rhenriques11
      @rhenriques11 10 років тому +1

      Javier Balieiro Hello Javier. You must connect the plug for the parachute release mechanism to the "Devo RX703" receiver, port AUX2. This way you can use the "Gear" button in the radio for the parachute release.

      rhenriques11 thanks!! that's work PERFECT!! just one doubth. Originally my AUX2 Option in "device output" was in the "FMOD SW" and ACTIVE. As i chance this to GEAR (and make the servo work with the gear switch), DID i loose the capabilitty to FMOD (flight inteligent mode, or IOC) with the top left switch (the one mark with 0-2 FMOD)?? thanks!
