    When I post pics of my geckos, I like to tag the breeders I got them from for several reason: 1) to help me keep up with lineage. 2) to give the breeders credit. And last and main reason 3) so the breeder can see updated pics of their progression. 😊

      I’ll do it the first couple posts of the animal. If the breeder doesn’t care, then I stop. But of course the lineage is still there and is shared anytime it’s asked for👌🏻

    I like the advice of being aware of your projects but also buy stuff that you like the look of and grow from there. This is the approach I have taken and it keeps things light and easy for me, fun and yet mindful.

    Regarding judging people without understanding their situation, I often tell people this: if you ask five different people how to do something, you might get six different answers, and they might all be correct! It is up to each individual to decide what their situation is in which solution to the issue serves them best. There's almost never only one correct answer.

      Lot of truth to this! Too many of us get salty with each other over minor differences. I think this is something we can all work on.🤝🏼

    Thank you harry. Great advice. I would love to see an episode that shows differences in head and body structure and what would be more important when choosing your pairings in both structure and colors/ morphs, what compliments and what turns to mud. Thank you again

    I hate that some breeders look and talk down to newer breeders and lecture them when they make a mistake or ask a question that's playing on them. I believe in teaching with kindness, everybody has to start somewhere. I think the whole buying thing that new keepers do at the start is fine, we all do this and it helped me to understand what I do and don't want to produce, for me it was a valuable learning curve and I honestly don't think I'd change it if I could go back, people should do what they feel is best for them.
    There can be people that love a bit of drama, I would definitely say to steer clear of the drama and not get sucked in.

    Dont hand warms also eat up all the oxygen? That's what I was told when I was in the tarantula hobby

    • @zeros.geckos
      @zeros.geckos  7 місяців тому

      The instructions on the heat packs say to open them an hour before putting them in the box. That way, the oxygen interacts with the ingredients in the pack to activate the heat. As far as my limited knowledge knows, reptile people have been using heat packs (not the hotter hand warmers) for a long time in their boxes with no issues if used properly.
