- Full build of Rye Field Model Sherman M4A3 76W HVSS W/full interior 1:35 (RM-5042). The video provide a detailed step by step guide as well as in depth hints and tips which I think will be proved useful to people who want to build this kit.
This is the third video which include construction, painting and weathering of the turret interior as well as finishing the construction on the rest of the tank.
These video builds are dedicated to my wife who gave me this amazing kit as a birthday present :)
I hope you like it. Enjoy!!!
No way this is for beginners. great work
Certainly not but as the fit is phenomenal, I would definitely recommend it as a starter kit for those who want to delve into the full interior kits. You just need sooo much time to finish it.
@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners Being retired definitely helps. I have ordered this one too, I'll get to it in 2026!
@@davidharrington1133 sounds like a good retirement plan 👍
The plastic periscope protectors are actually more realistic. The original was constructed of tubing not strips. Great work on all these E8 videos.
Thank you. I might screw up the periscopes as well. I hate working with clear parts. I did not knew that regarding the tubing that were contracted, that is interesting.
Looking really good!!!!!
Thank you!!!
That radio looks great! I have this kit in my stash, and this makes me want to drop the others and get started on it!
Start on it!!! Such a great kit but prepare that will take tremendous amount of time.
Some awesome detailing. Keep it comin my friend
Thank you. Almost there to finish it :)
Wow awesome...
Thank you!!!
looking really good so far, i just picked up this kit and the easy 8,after watching your videos i will know what to expect!
Hope you enjoy it as I did!
Nice, but one little thing. The belt of ammo for the 50 cal should have gunmetal or grey black links going down the back 1/3 of the rounds. And the tips should be a copper color with every 5th being red for the tracer. Since you seem to love the little details.
Thank you for the armour lesson. I love details but you my friend seem to love them even more :)
@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners more knowledge from having fired them in RL. But did enjoy your videos

Looks amazing so far, eagerly awaiting the next vid!
Coming soon! Almost there.
Brilliant, thanks for posting the vid 😎
Glad you enjoyed it!
Enfin merci superbe ;-)
Thank you.
Looking good. The loaders and tc hatches should be green.
Yes a lot of people said that to me. To be honest I might leave the hatches as they are for the moment just to remind me the topic that raised among modellers. Also I am out of yellow colour which I need to mix with olive drab in order to have the final colour.
Absolutely amazing. Bit too much photo etch for me. Congratulations.
Thank you so much 😀. Only one fret of PE is not too but. Although some were microscopic.
What gauge of wire did you use to make the tow cable? That was very well done.
Thanks. I just had to measure it with my caliper as there is no indication on the reel. It is 0.3mm
I believe that is only one on youtube
I do not know about that, I saw some others building this but they did not recorded the whole build.
Awesome build really enjoyed watching. Question what brushes do you use to paint tiny details like the radio knobs?
Thank you!!! For this one I bought some cheap ones from The Range (British shop). The brush I used was 000.
Did you apply a coat of varnish before doing the wash?
Yes I did (satin coat) before washes and matt coat at the end. Sorry I forgot to mention this, thanks for pointing out.
