If you were to keep a bird, use your common sense, if you keep it in a tiny cage, this is not kind, if you give it a large open area this is better for it
If it wasn't kind Allah swt would have made it haram rather he didn't so it's not bad rather you can say it's better if we let it be free in it's environment but there is no problem with caging it as long as we take care of it.what we feel is kind or sadistic doesn't matter if it's not based on objective sources like God it's just a feeling no matter how many think like that and it's "common sense" to think like that.common sense if based on just democratic feelings doesn't make a thing objectively true or false.we need to provide evidence and feelings aren't evidence.Allah swt is.
@@Xenor999 I see what you are saying, but I would argue that you should use your better judgement as the quran & hadith does not list every single thing that is wrong or right. For example, i say its not kind to keep a bird in a tiny cage just like i would say it's not kind to trip over a stranger, there is nothing very specific in the quran or hadith that says it's haram to trip someone over but you can use your common sense. We are instructed to treat animals and strangers with kindness, so we should strive to be kind. Allah created that bird to fly and when a human restricts it to a tiny cage where it cannot barely move and has nothing to do all day, surely Allah would prefer if we tried to create a better environment for that bird no?

Calling people stupid for asking a question which may seem silly, will simply discourage people from asking any questions; leading to people to be too embarrassed to ask a question. Making them unsure until they are lost and away from the true teachings of Islam. Leading to bid'ahs forming, to being completely astray. i.e. Muslims are meant to be only following the authentic hadith and the Qur'an; there are some who instead are seeking guidance from the dead body of a good person for advice. This sounds stupid, but it's scary how there are people who are committing major shirk and are astray from the teachings of Islam. Watch for more info: ua-cam.com/video/vmSngSt3_Zw/v-deo.html
