Clever pan up to the EXIT sign! This series was extremely educational in tools, methods, products, humor and surprisingly...design.

Nice to see someone was able to make one of these cheap Chinese bath fixture sets work. I had one of these kits we got a good deal on in returned/open box condition. After going through the way these kits are designed, I ended up only using the rainfall shower head. Everything was threaded connections, and none of them were tapered. So when threading in standard NPT fittings, it would not reliably seal. I suggest everyone steer clear of these Chinese kits.
However, it is impressive to watch you overcome these challenges and shortcomings in the product and achieve such an amazing result.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, IM VERY EXCITED FOR THE STUDPACK HOUSE.

For future reference if you need to enlarge a hole with a hole saw, cut a hole in a piece of wood then stick that to the wall and use it as a guide for the hole saw. Hot glue works well and is easy to remove. 😊

Those drill bits don’t have a pilot bit anyway. That method works great for wood hole saws though. I had to do it when a dopey carpenter drilled holes for me to add steplights for a deck he built. The lights weren’t picked out yet. Why’d he drill too small of holes at heights at all random heights? Because he’s a dopey carpenter.

So I'm an HVAC mech by trade and feel like I can learn anything. A couple years ago I became a first time home owner, and you guys have been my inspiration and part of my knowledge base. This shower is epic, and I'm happy to do something similar to my master bath !
Matter of fact, I was previously insistent to have a professional do the retro, but after watching a few of your videos redoing baths, I feel like I could give it a try.. thanks!
Keep it up guys and good luck on retrofitting that house, you got a lotta work ahead of you haha !

The problem solving is outstanding and extremely important. That's the part I have the most trouble with. I don't know all the tools, parts and techniques. If this were an HGTV show, the whole middle part (problem-solution) would be cut in favor of over-the-top "how beautiful" blather.
You guys and "Electrician U" are my favorites.

I enjoy watching your videos because not only are you knowledgeable and informative, but you also experience those "uh, oh" moments when things don't work out as planned. That's when Plan B must be devised. Hopefully Plan C won't be necessary. I can also appreciate your "Things I forgot to get" list. We've all been there, right? Keep up the good work and keep producing these videos.

I have worked for myself as a contractor for about 16-17 years. I am always apprehensive when I go to put the trim on a tile shower wall hoping I don't have issues like you did hear, you burn up time having to modify parts, which is far from ideal. I usually lean something every time I watch one of your videos. My daughter worked for me for about a year when she was in college when I first started my business, it seems like you and Jordan have fun working together. This shower is looking great, I love the bowtie in the shower wall, it looks great. Keep up the great videos guys.

Before drilling with the saw in that existing hole, you could have put a wood block / dowel (cut it using the same saw that made the original opening) in to fill the existing opening. Then you could have centered the saw with some confidence that you were getting it spot on.

So relieved to see this. Just finished my tile shower and had the exact same pipe depth issues with the fixtures. I thought I had followed all the 'standard' ways of building it yet had to do a similar creative fix at the end. I knew it'd work but thought I had made some mistake to create the issue. Now I'm realizing that maybe it wasn't my lack of experience that caused the issue!

When you’re adjusting the lights up and down instead of tying a knot in the cord to retain it try using a zip tie. The beauty is you can undo and redo the zip tie to adjust the light up and down. And you really wanna do that adjustment on the ground before you climb up

At 13:12 If you were to buy a ONE-KEY™ enabled Milwaukee drill you could have just set the speed, how fast it ramps up (so you could have it give a soft start) and a lot different things with your phone and press the trigger for full throttle and it wouldn’t go past it Faster than whatever rpm you set it at. It’s great for instances like this, and you just only use it when you need to drill
Number one on a regular drill doesn’t control the speed it just engages the clutch a lot sooner.
