Everyone needs to keep in mind that we *all* get older eventually, and it tends to happen sooner than expected!
I think the only difference is how a certain generation has fun. But my grandma is 80 and she still loves dancing even tho her feet hurt! When she was around 60, she went with bunch of other older people to a weekend getaway and they went to the disco. When she came back she was so excited, she had to show me how she danced so I searched for possible songs they played there.
I’m so glad you talked about Ryan! It happened in our area and has been such a baffling disappearance. Finally getting the traction it deserved over this last year with the little dinosaurs with Ryan’s Info on them being taken around the world.
Ryan is on my mind often for someone I never really met. I drove his roommate home after my shift that night as I was the bar photographer for both bars at Sun Peaks at the time. The photos from the silent disco are often used in these sorts of programs, I always had a hunch that they may be some of the last of him taken but never confirmed until now. For him to just poof and disappear the way he did it really shook the town. The whole vibe for the rest of the winter changed. The bar seen fell silent for a bit then the municipality stepped up with a late night bus for a short time. It was much better than walking down the barely lit highway for 20 minutes or more. Prior to his disappearance there were no taxis up there and no late night shuttles of any sort. It often led people to make poor decisions rather than walk. I do hope his family eventually gets closure. Sun Peaks is a special place and Ryan will always be a part of it.
that’s really awful. ryan and i are the same age. i hope the family gets their answers, and everyone can find some sort of peace. i hope you’re okay; it’s scary to think that bad things can happen so close to us.
The absolute horror for those parents of not only finding out their child is missing but that the search is ending after one day. That is beyond horrific.
I almost died falling off the side of a mountain in Utah. I was so deep in snow I could not get back up, eventually I used a branch to pull me up and rode alongside a flowing creek thru hip deep snow and luckily did not fall through into the creek I prolly would have froze to death. When I got out I caught my breath, and then made my way to the nearest fire and changed because I was wet down to my longjohns from being stuck in the snow for so long. That was the end of my snowboarding that trip
I live in Kamloops and am happy to see this case making it's way around the world! I submitted this to true crime by Kendall A few years ago. Thank you for getting the word out about Ryan!
Also, if someone heard "get in the fucking car" it could also be someone telling a friend to get in if they were taking to long. People used to yell at me after a night out drinking because it took me so long to get in the car getting sidetracked talking. I just pray one day Ryan is found and his parents can bring him home
Yeah, it could very well have just been some drunken buddies getting ready to leave. Nothing sinister about it. But you have to consider every little thing no detal is too small.
such a surreal thing to see someone I knew growing up come up on my youtube feed. The Shtuka family are so incredibly strong, and I think about them often. 💚🦕
The little toy dinosaur is such an amazing thing Ryan's parents did. What a FANTASTIC way to keep his picture and info out there! Also, how sweet is it that he loved dinosaurs as a boy and now he still gets to "see the world." Amazing!!! Absolutely amazing! I LOVE it. LOVE IT!!!!!!
Josh basically explained my college experience. I had to take multiple breaks due to health and family. I don’t think it is ever too late. I am finally graduating in 2 weeks at the age of 31.
Same I couldn't afford it at first and didn't want to be in debt then when I went back at 22 my mom got diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma so I took another break because I was so stressed. Now I'm 29 and finally finishing in December thanks to online classes. I am happy I never gave up. I agree it's really never too late.
I am from Ontario and I have NEVER hear of this case, which is crazy to me. Thank you for sharing this important Canadian case, I hope one day he is found and his family gets closure
Should be a law if you have cameras, with signs posted saying there are security cameras then they need to be actively working. It's a safety thing. I go to certain places specifically because they say they have security cameras
I honestly find it so healthy that Ryan’s parents don’t insist on his disappearance being due to foul play. The likelihood of that is just so low compared to an intoxicated tragic accident and him being lost to the elements.
I completely agree. With the outdoor conditions and the fact that he was likely impaired to some degree, an accident is very likely. The fact they haven't found his remains does seem a bit odd, but not so much considering the location.
@@akhillyz4223not necessarily. Very similar to missing persons in Newfoundland. An even smaller place but similar in woods and mountains etc. People go missing in the winter and are NEvER found.

I struggled hard in my late teens to mid twenties trying to figure out what college degree I really wanted. I kept switching career goals and was indecisive. I struggled with college and dropped out numerous times. It wasn’t until this year in my early 30s that I finally realized that I want to be a wildlife biologist. And I couldn’t be any happier with my decision. I’m so excited to see what my career field has to offer me when I finally graduate.
How amazing that you found your path! I went to university at 18 and did Law because everyone said I should be a lawyer. Once I came out into the real world I realised that being a lawyer SUUUUUCKS! So now I have a degree that I don’t want to do anything with. Waiting could have benefitted me a lot!
So glad you found your calling. In my country (Ecuador), middle class and above 18 year olds are expected to go to college or go to college. No ifs, whens or buts. Normally kids are unable to support themselves after HS so they stay at home, usually until marriage, so they have to comply with mom & dad's rules. I know today tons of confused and unmotivated 20-22 y.o. kids. They just have no clue what they want from life and are stuck in college careers such as "international business" or "marketing". I let my child take her time and find her calling, fortunately she did at 19 and is loving college where she is majoring in Clinical Psychology. Something she had no clue she would be interested in. We need to start changing paradigms such as forcing an immature 18 year old to pursue a college degree.
Pretty Litter saved my daughter from having to get rid of her cat . Her brother is her roommate and was wanting her to get rid of the cat because of the litter smell. I sent her pretty litter and now no issues she says she will never use anything else!!
Oh my goodness!! I’m so grateful to see you guys covering Ryan’s story. I’ve been praying since his disappearance that his family gets closure. Thank you for covering Ryan’s case 🙏
Glad you guys discussed how kids are pressured to jump right into college after high school. One of my biggest regrets is not taking a year off to figure out my passions. Student debt from studying something you don’t care about/felt pressure to do SUCKS!
I grew up in Kamloops and skied “Todd Mountain “ (the name before it became “Sun Peaks Resort “ almost every weekend when it was open. A friend tumbled off the mountain and thankfully we witnessed and were able to find him. My prayers are that Ryan’s family will find him. In the meantime Shtukasaurus memories travel the world ❤️❤️❤️

Omg. I can’t believe you guys are covering this case. His family is from the same area as I’m from, so I’ve been following this case for years when the news of him missing was reposted by a mutual friend. Thank you for covering this!!!
As a French Canadian thank you for claryfing Not all Canadian French live in Quebec. 😂 the east coast has ALOT of French Acadians!!! Very different French from Quebec French. They can't understand us when we talk our direct. We use the old French words and mix English words and conjugate them in French 😂😂😂😂 it's wild
Finally, you've covered Ryan's case! I went to university with his mom. Heather is incredible, and all the work her and her family have done is amazing.
I can’t believe your doing this case- thank you! These parents have worked SO hard to find their son. This case breaks my heart. I hope they find Ryan. ❤️
It actually makes sense thay the majority of unsolved cases you cover involve broken cameras. Because if the cameras worked, its likely the case would have been solved so you wouldnt have to be reporting on them.
I live in the same city that this young man went missing from. It's very ominous to drive up the Sun Peaks mountain at night and have your headlights illuminate his large missing poster. Many people who live on the mountain have their own theories, with some convinced they know what happened.
I didn’t just change my major, I changed my entire degree. Dropped out of occupational therapy and I’m now doing law. Made the change at 21. Wish I had a stress-free no-pressure year to find myself 🙊 Absolutely love the entire MHM group! Look forward to your podcasts every week 😘
As a Canadian, with many friends who worked seasons on ski resorts in BC and AB.. there is a HUGE drug culture and the staff partying with drugs. It would be more unusual if he wasnt into drug use and worked there
Now at the end of this video. My theories 60% died from accident/elements and animal took his body to a den which hasn't been found. 40% drug related. Kamloops is highly active in the drug scene
I’m just curious, do you think sex trafficking is something that could happen in that area? I haven’t seen anybody bring it up but it’s something that crossed my mind. Doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibilities
Thank you for covering this case! I live in Kamloops and we helped search for Ryan several times; watching his family navigate their worst nightmare was one of the hardest things I’ve ever witnessed.
12:16 is the first time I've heard of the use of profanity while promoting a product. It's nice to see Josh keeping it real when it comes to cat litter. More profanity, please 😃
I don't think it makes much sense that a drunk driver would go to the trouble of picking up a person they've hit when there is no police presence, no cameras, no witnesses and then find a place to dispose of the body. Makes more sense to just take off. I hope his family gets answers someday, it's incredibly sad.
@@zebralove2840 I live in Kamloops. This theory was based on info that has since been removed, although I’m not sure why. Right after Ryan went missing, there was a post on a FB page (I’m not sure if it was the one Heather made). It was from someone who wanted people to know she owned a bed and breakfast attached to her home about 1/2 way down the mountain and she had rented it to 3 guys from Alberta the weekend Ryan went missing. The guys had it booked for 4 nights, the first 2 nights they were there they had established a pattern of skiing during the day and partying at night, they would return to the Airbnb around 2:00 am. On the night Ryan went missing, apparently they returned around 2:30, packed up all of their belongings and left. They were not due to check out until the morning of the following day. She said they were in a huge hurry and simply said something had come up and they needed to leave immediately. She found it highly suspicious and apparently had reported it to the police but hadn’t been interviewed or questioned as of the time she posted. A lot of people believe it to be possible that when Ryan left the pizza place, he was hit by the truck these guys were in and that they loaded his body up and left town. Of course ALL of this is simply speculation and as I mentioned above, the post has long since disappeared. We were also told that the last sighting of Ryan was him entering and leaving Mountain High Pizza, and as far as I know, the cameras were working. Who knows the real truth, but I would say the majority of residents here suspect foul play in some form or another.
I lost my 21 year old son a few years ago but I know where he is, he’s put to rest by my parents, I can’t imagine not knowing what happened to my son. Heartbreaking for his parents

I'm 53. Me and my cats should probably get back to the nursing home I guess 🙄 Weird.
This case has haunted me for years. The family is still so active, and spreading awareness world wide. It’s incredible and heartbreaking
Its so sad that so many people disappear doing things they love.
Then again, what greater way to disappear?
The absolute horror for those parents of not only finding out their child is missing but that the search is ending after one day. That is beyond horrific.
I almost died falling off the side of a mountain in Utah. I was so deep in snow I could not get back up, eventually I used a branch to pull me up and rode alongside a flowing creek thru hip deep snow and luckily did not fall through into the creek I prolly would have froze to death. When I got out I caught my breath, and then made my way to the nearest fire and changed because I was wet down to my longjohns from being stuck in the snow for so long. That was the end of my snowboarding that trip
That is terrifying , so glad you are ok!!!
That's terrifying...I'm not sure I would have made it. Good for you seriously glad your alive man !!
😰😰😰😰
which resort?
I live in Kamloops and am happy to see this case making it's way around the world! I submitted this to true crime by Kendall A few years ago. Thank you for getting the word out about Ryan!
i live near comox on the island! (i’m 17 so i don’t wanna say the exact town but it isn’t courtenay!)
@@steelej10js another Kamloops resident here. I’m so happy you submitted this case, thank you!
I live in Kelowna, and I had no idea about this case!
I submitted it years ago too. I'm also in kamloops. Thank you for also trying to get them to cover it!
But you have to consider every little thing
no detal is too small.
such a surreal thing to see someone I knew growing up come up on my youtube feed. The Shtuka family are so incredibly strong, and I think about them often. 💚🦕
Thank you SO MUCH for covering Ryan's story, he went missing 30 minutes from my hometown and this story is really close to my heart.
What’s done in the dark, Will be brought to the light 🔥
Reminds me of the case where the guy disappeared and years later he was found in a crevice frozen.
Kendall Rae - I just wanted to say you're looking really good these days. Love your hair! Now, I'm looking forward to hearing about another case.
She always has ❤
@dogsarefab, she always has, yes but lately, she looks extra beautiful and healthy .. love Kendall!
I honestly find it so healthy that Ryan’s parents don’t insist on his disappearance being due to foul play. The likelihood of that is just so low compared to an intoxicated tragic accident and him being lost to the elements.
I dont think so at all. The most likely scenario actually is an accident. Theyve found frozen bodies YEARS later on ski resorts.
I completely agree. With the outdoor conditions and the fact that he was likely impaired to some degree, an accident is very likely. The fact they haven't found his remains does seem a bit odd, but not so much considering the location.
it gets hot there in the summer and theres no snow . they would have found his remains .
@@akhillyz4223not necessarily. Very similar to missing persons in Newfoundland. An even smaller place but similar in woods and mountains etc. People go missing in the winter and are NEvER found.
@@akhillyz4223not necessarily im from the area and that resort is massive and there’s so many areas of the woods/wilderness that can be entirely missed
Thank you for clarifying that Canada has two official languages and Canadians speak English and French! Lots of love from Alberta❤️
I love how you all bounce theories off each other and idea etc such healthy communication and makes for a great podcast!
Thank you for covering this!
I have a special gift to honour Ryan for you guys!! I will put it in the mail today!! 💚🦕

Oh my goodness!! I’m so grateful to see you guys covering Ryan’s story. I’ve been praying since his disappearance that his family gets closure. Thank you for covering Ryan’s case 🙏
How did no one laugh at Josh’s …”cut a rug…” “with what?” LMFAO I died
I thought they would explain where the term comes from stilettos. Cutting the rug with your heels
@stevieleekaniuk-carrier8556, it was Kendall who said it...
@@sandrapisani9225 Josh said, “with what?” which was the funny part
I'm from Quebec and confirm this for sure, haha! It's not for a lack of trying though!
I laughed when they said a majority of Canadian provinces speak French 😂
Alberta here and we have a thriving francophone community as well! We’re small but mighty 😌
lol I’m half Acadian too and half Mi’kmaq 😆 I don’t speak chiac tho

Thank you so much for covering this case! I live close to Kamloops and have been following this story from the beginning. So heartbreaking 💔
I love that you guys are covering Canadian cases! I am American but live in Canada and there's so many bizarre cases in Canada that don't get covered.
As an older person, we definitely know how to have fun!! We had the best music 🎶💃🏽
I’ve been following this case from nearly Day 1! I’m happy you guys are covering it - getting the attention he deserves. 💚🦕
I didn’t just change my major, I changed my entire degree. Dropped out of occupational therapy and I’m now doing law. Made the change at 21. Wish I had a stress-free no-pressure year to find myself 🙊
Absolutely love the entire MHM group! Look forward to your podcasts every week 😘
As a Canadian, with many friends who worked seasons on ski resorts in BC and AB.. there is a HUGE drug culture and the staff partying with drugs. It would be more unusual if he wasnt into drug use and worked there
The theory of a fling with a drug dealers girlfriend and/or owing money.. it's not as unbelievable as you think. It's a drug resort
Now at the end of this video. My theories
60% died from accident/elements and animal took his body to a den which hasn't been found.
40% drug related. Kamloops is highly active in the drug scene
I’m just curious, do you think sex trafficking is something that could happen in that area? I haven’t seen anybody bring it up but it’s something that crossed my mind. Doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibilities
@@Meraki1312 possible, but imo I don't find that to be probable. Until he's found, there's a possibility for anything
@@Talia.Ryn710he could have been abducted and murdered by a predator.
Thank you for covering this case! I live in Kamloops and we helped search for Ryan several times; watching his family navigate their worst nightmare was one of the hardest things I’ve ever witnessed.
As a Canadian that has been following this since he disappeared, thank you so so much for covering this. ❤
-4 Celsius probably, Tshirt weather for us Canadians 😅
True .
-4 F… it was -20c at least that night.
I am so SO happy this case is being covered!!!!! It has us so confused in Canada and we are longing for his return to his family
Nooo way! I love that you covered this case!! Ive been following since it happened and its absolutely mind-boggling how little info there is.
Aw I'm so happy you guys finally did Ryan's story. I've been following this story since the beginning 😢
You guys are SO RIGHT about his parents not pushing him to go straight to college. You guys are so understanding and smart.
12:16 is the first time I've heard of the use of profanity while promoting a product. It's nice to see Josh keeping it real when it comes to cat litter. More profanity, please 😃
Hell yeah!!!
In case I'm not the only one seeing the thumbnail and thinking I've seen this before, it's their Duncan MacPherson episode that you're most likely thinking bout *needs more coffee*
Huh
Kendall I'm obsessed with that light/lamp thing behind you in these videos, it's so pretty 😍 and gives off a cosy relaxing vibe aswell. I just keep staring at it when I'm watching these so I thought I'd comment 😅❤
It is beautiful!
This is hands down the best true crime podcast on the internet! You guys are amazing ❤
Hey Kendall,
Ryan’s Mom posted in the Facebook group that there was some wrong information in this video. Perhaps you could reach out to her and rectify this ❤

She just pinned a comment xx
His smile from that night is so heartbreaking 😢
Silent discos at festivals at 4am when you’re rolling your face off and been walking for two miles back to camp are a literal lifesaver 😭🤣💗 chill vibes after a festival it’s much needed
This case hits so close to home for me it happened really close to where I live thank you so much for covering this case ❤️
Hi there!!! So I actually went to high school in Halifax, NS, Canada!! honestly the ONLY providice that french is the main language js Quebec, everywhere else its English... And to explain what Frech Immersion is, you go basically to an english speaking school BUT kids in french immersion take their ENTIRE curriculum in french... wo math, science, history, ALL taught in french, text books in French, french speaking teachers etc... thats what it means! Hope this helps clarify for people! 😊😊
Yes... I live in Ontario. We speak English, but my grandkids go to a French immersion school. I'm glad that they will know 2 languages. 😊
@@tammihunter5913 there is areas of Newbrunswick where I am from that only speak French as well.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU TWO!!! This case is one of the closest I hold to my heart. Back when Ryan first went missing in 2018 I helped in the ground search for him. I think of him often and want resolution and answers for his family and friends more than anything. Love you Ryan 🦖💚
Thank you for talking about Ryan!!!💚💚💚🦖🦖🦖
