Katie can be almost hypnotic at times. She's a very unique artist with a special talent.

I think in every written work, if many metaphors are used, there are multiple ways of interpreting it unless the author tells you exactly what the actual meaning was meant to be. I personally understand that her love is so strong that it goes beyond the bounds of the acceptable, like when you really missed someone and you feel like "squeezing the life out of them". :)

I think this song is from the point of view of an abused woman whom's had enough~ I love this song.
I think it is more like a woman is " Dressed to kill". To kill means, the man would belong to her. Similar to "I love you to bits and pieces". If she kills him, he belongs to her completly, no one can take him away from her anymore. He can't run away or do what he likes to do, she has 100 % control over him.

She is "lost in love" , her feelings are out of control when he doesn't sleep, because she loves him so much. So if he is dead, she will be in control of her feelings 100% again, so she hopes.
