    Thanks for the video and its raw honesty lol. Too many show all the wonderful experiences, this is perfect to know what to look for, dangers etc. You likely saved lives by posting this. Needless to say I will be researching more before buying a tent size wood stove.

    Hey there sir! Ken here from Nova Scotia (I use my wife’s UA-cam , don’t know how to set up my own) . You gotta be a patient man, I wouldn’t have that stove going after seeing it separate. Chuck porter has an awesome stove for his tenting but if you could find a small steel barrel to make a stove out of it would likely be a cheaper way.

    • @newfiecountryboyoutdoors6523
      @newfiecountryboyoutdoors6523  Рік тому +1

      Hi Ken. Yeah I got a bit of patience so much so that if the weather holds I’m going to give the stove another try. I like Chucks stove and I was talking to him on it and it is expensive so I may go with the steel barrel option. Thanks for watching and thanks for the ideas

    Hey Bud! That stove looked scary at one point! I got the same one in Titanium version because I was looking to save weight when pulling a pulk behind me. I may need to take my setup out once before inter settles in to test it out! My other stove is a Winnerwell which is H-E-A-V-Y but solid. That sure doesn't explain the arrestor clogging up on you but all wood has some moisture in it especially when it is still in log form. The wood you used was definitely dead! I think the temps were low enough that it cooled that steam and smoke mixture right on exit through the arrestor. I will have to watch mine. Great video! Thanks! Jeff

    Really nice to see you making videos again, haven't seen you in a while. I spoke with your young feller at the grocery a little while back and told him I missed your videos. He told me they were coming. To bad about the stove, hopefully you'll have better luck with the next one.

    Took me four stoves before I got the one that worked for me. Folding stoves draft around the bottom hinges until you get enough coals to cover up the seams. But it certainly shouldn’t bow out in the back like that. Too bad she had to ruin it for ya. You’re pretty tough tho I must say-I’d have left and went home before that so good on ya. Happy trails bud. 👍

    Hey buddy I'm just getting caught up in the videos. This was a good one and I love the tent ever since I seen Chuck do this and now you 👊 the only thing is that stove would of got kicked like the winning goal at the foot ball game. I have a small stove that I made for I ice hot back in high school and it works great and no smoke I can turn it right down. It's heavy compared to a foil paper stove 😂 and I have real stove pipe. Well you have more patience then me I guess that's the difference between a Newfoundlander and a Frenchman 😂

    I noticed when you were putting the stove pipe together you rolled it in a spiral instead of a tube shape so the top piece wasn’t straight around and it bent down and blocked the top of the chimney

    • @newfiecountryboyoutdoors6523
      @newfiecountryboyoutdoors6523  Рік тому

      No I roll it spiral first and then into a tube it goes together easily like that with one person. A lot of people have trouble rolling this pipes alone I done a video on it a while back. The pipe was actually blocked with creosote in the spark arrester. Thanks for watching

      I got a round princess auto camp stove. Got a few mods done to it and it helped lots. The stove pipe in my opinion is upside down and to small diameter, I changed it to 3" the original would leak cressal down the outside the pipe and creat a lot of smoke. I also put a hinged flap on top that covers 1/4 the opening, helps prevent smoke from coming out when you open the door. Your spark arest will get plugged, my would do it all the time aswill, Most of the time I just leave it off

    I recently purchased a winnerwell 1G here's my unboxing ua-cam.com/video/vsqBaq6CB04/v-deo.html and here's my first night ua-cam.com/video/58dwWULQHDc/v-deo.html the jury is still out on my stove as I get use to the idiosyncrasies. It's not foldable and the chimney is in lengths, it will turn red if I pile in the dry wood but if I close the front draft or damper on the stove it almost immediately cools and the red goes out. I do find where it's small I have to keep piling the wood to it and doesn't take long to burn out if I don't keep the wood to her. It has been suggested I remove the bottom grate as the wood will stay on the hot coals and burn longer or catch up faster if burned down , I may try that. I enjoy your videos and will be going back and check them all eventually keep them coming. Eventually I'm hoping to get more time to put into my channel and start gathering a few subscribers LOL . @tuckerandi7436
