Good video. I also used remanufactured fuel injectors. I bought 6 for my 2006 325i and popped them in. The remanufactured injector cost $50 each, but brand new is $160 each. Since the only problem was dirt and grime, it seemed ok to use used injectors since they were perfectly clean. between parts and labor, DIY with used injectors saved around $1,300. Car runs perfect now; 83,000 mi.
I think you just diagnosed my problem. 114k miles 2009 328xi. It starts perfect sometimes but definitely gives me hiccups here and there but today it actually stuttered turning on twice today. Also when I do a decent drive and the car is warmed up ofc, and I turn it off and start it again within the next maybe 35 minutes or so it also stutters and turns on rough.
@@ryan_ho1 I still have this issue although it’s never left me stranded. The fact that it starts rough after a heat cycle is clearly not normal. However I did my valve cover and still nothing. Injectors are like $3-400 a piece yet alone the labor needed to service them. I have a new battery. Never changed my starter or alternator so it’s a possibility but I still don’t know unfortunately.
I'm wondering if i should replace all 6 or just the 1 that the scan tool says is bad? Also, I'm using the "Import Direct" brand of injector thats sold at O'Reillys...will that suffice? TY so much in advance

I appreciate this DIY bro! I have to replace my injector 4,5 and 6 and I was thinking of buying the remanufactured injectors by FCP, at this moment have you had any issues with those remanufactured injectors?
I have not but that code basically means that the injector is staying in the full open position. Most likely just a bad injector. Sometimes it’s the wiring harness that shorts it out, but I’d start with unplugging and replugging the connector. If the code persists, then it’s probably the injector itself needing to be replaced
just cleaned my injectors as before it kinda misfired and started stuttering every cold start in the morning, happens exactly 10 minutes into driving. My mech said itvwasnt a leaky injector just dirty so he cleaned them and it ran as new just the hard rpm fluctuations/bouncing idle sometimes... he says if that happens again (the shaking engine and misfire and even to the point it sounded like a subaru once) then try putting a bottle of injector cleaner into the tank. Would they work? Chevron? And on a empty tank and run it till empty or mix it with fuel? Also could be clogged fuel filters? Its a e92 323i... with 170k kms on the odo
You can try Chevron fuel injector cleaner or fuel system cleaner. When you’re tank is near empty pour it in then fill up to about half a tank of gas. Drive it until you’re near empty again and fill back up with normal fuel. If the injectors are leaky you may be able to smell or see fuel from the injector area after driving. Could be fuel system or maybe valve cover if you have a vacuum leak. Try priming your fuel pump a few times by turning the cars electronics on but not engine and start the car and see if issue goes away. If issue is still there it is not the fuel pump most likely. Injectors are pretty cheap online so I’d say maybe give it a try replacing
If you’re smelling gas inside, check your fuel pump. If outside check your fuel rail. Go on a long drive, turn the car off and see which injector has fuel leaking around it. If you can’t find it, just replace them all
