Hey man mind posting your graphics settings? I’m finding at 1440p I’m in struggle street spotting targets and my black look a little washed out, think I gotta mess with my monitor some more - also killer video as always!
Glad you like them pal. I'm also in 1440. Every thing set to high, MSAA x4, SSAA x1.5, Anisotropic filtering 16x. Spotting targets is always quite difficult- especially when there are no labels, but it comes with practice. I'm running DCS in Multithreading which currently seems to have a small bug where contact dots are a little more obvious. In terms of spotting I just constantly look around and zoom in the view. Comes with practice. I also have a small mod that clears out the spitfire cockpit glass scratches which helps A LOT.
@@FrostyJester2-2 cheers for the fast response! I’ll check out some of these options, I’ll sus the mod too, wondering if an f5 one is available, the canopy in that one is shocking! 😂
I'd say each plane has it's own quirks and characteristics. Whilst the Spitfire is a wonderful plane to fly, it needs quite careful engine management and takes some time to master in combat and landing is not easy as it has a tight undercarriage. But as a get up and go plane- it's great!
No experience in the 51 or 47 but the spit is an excellent plane to start in, easy startup, jot down some notes on the engine management for quick reference and I find it’s the one bird I have no dramas landing in. Taxing is hard to get used to but once you do it’s a breeze!
I've got a few of the warbirds (spit, p-51, dora) and they're all great fun to fly. The P51 is so smooth and easy to trim in the air, but can't handle the tight turns as well as the spit - but that might just be my lack of practise with it! Starting them is actually pretty simple, and taxi-ing and take off is fine once you've tried a couple. Right rudder, little right stick, hold the stick back to go, and you'll be fine. Also - turn OFF auto rudder in the 'special' options menu. Massively screws with your take offs otherwise!
Legend. That was some good Skill and contril Sir. Now if i can just get up and away in mine lol.

Been on the server there is no radio coms like this video…..
It's mostly me and my friend over discord in my videos but also depends on what time of day you join the server etc
If you are on the server at the right time with the right guys SRS is like this. Combat coms are on Channel B btw. (or they are supposed to be)
Cool 😎I don't know how you guys catch anything in those
Would you recommend the Spitfire IX for starting DCS WW2 or something else like P51D or P47D? No real enthusiasm for the axis aircraft myself though.
