Way too realistic and profecional ... watching the vid, make me feel like " bring your kids day to work day" as me being the kid and watch daddy at the office droping bomb 😂😂😂.
A superb production. The realistic radio comms added a lot, and really makes this video “stand out” from the crowd … certainly from the big screen Hollywood films that ignore or distort such things! Realistic comms really highlight the cool professionalism demanded by JTACS and pilots in the high stress of combat.
Former Hog driver here. Nicely done old-school mission. 90% of the critical time wasted with excessive comm has been eliminated nowadays by the use of SADL/Link 16.
Wow! I have no words! This is the most realistic and exciting A-10 cinematic I've ever seen! Outstanding work my friend! Loved the comms work! The music gave me goosebumps, and nothing like hearing a good A-10 gun fire to spark up the day! I was so invested I wanted more lol!
I appreciate you taking time to make a video showing the A-10 in a deeper manner. I’m just a retired Army Infantryman so my input is from my experiences with the A-10 in two wars. The A-10 only carries a set amount of flares so they can only evade so many SAM’s/MANPAD’s before they’re in a vulnerable position. The Air Force keeps a close eye on enemy activity on the ground which they get constant updates from various sources including the US Army. They do this so they know which areas are high risk to slower aircraft like the A-10 and helicopters. In a forested terrain, the A-10 will drop down to NOE level to avoid direct observation that MANPAD launchers rely on more than larger SAM systems, IR tracking missiles are a difficult threat to detect when they launch so they tend to have an AWACS scanning for all missile activity in a sector they’re traveling through. Flying NOE (Nape Of the Earth) and sometimes even lower is a sure way to avoid most missile systems detection but it requires strict focus from the pilot. If there’s friendly forces not far from where the MANPADS and SAM’s launched from AWACS can request Army attack helicopters to do a hunter-killer mission to find and destroy the enemy that fired on the birds. Another option is 155mm artillery, with modern munitions the artillery can take out pinpoint targets within 30 miles but the artillery doesn’t always have too many of those special munitions so it has to be critical before they’ll approve the use for a single MANPAD site but, they will gladly use them on a SAM site. A-10’s we’re designed to take out enemy vehicle columns and of course, tanks, lots of tanks but they found that the A-10 was an excellent platform for various stand-off weapons and bombs so, they turned it into a flying dump truck, lol. So it can do massive bombing runs and I’ve seen that myself and I almost feel sorry for the house those poor Iraqi bad guys were in since it collapsed on top of them when the A-10 hit it, this was in the winter of 2003 on the south side of Baghdad near Al-Rashid where my unit was posted (FOB Muleskinner/Camp Cuervo) I was in 2-6 Infantry, 1st Armor Division. I mention these details just to give a better context to what we did there for those who like to track unit locations and activities. We were later put on FOB St. Michael’s which was a hell hole, we got hit daily but the Iraqi’s sucked at being accurate. We rarely called in air strikes and just used the 3 155mm M-109’s on the FOB to fire back when we got mortared. So if you ever wanted to make a video then hopefully I provided some information to make it interesting. I’m not saying this video was not interesting, just thoughts for a future video. That said, the way A-10’s are used in the European theater is a bit different since we know there’ll be tanks coming out of the demon hole so then the A-10 will be in her original environment and so will I as an 11H, Heavy Anti Armor Weapons Infantryman where we use the TOW system to engage tanks starting at 4,000 meters. It takes about 15 seconds for the missile to reach that distance and nothing survives a good hit (if the missile is aimed at the tracks, it’ll just blow apart the tracks and suspension and not penetrate the crew compartment which is a waste of a missile since I’ll have to fire another missile to kill it.
I’m so glad you’re able to capture the heroism that the warthog brings. The plane is truly about those guys on the ground. Keep up the amazing work JP. Idk why I haven’t seen your work sooner
Comme d habitude JP , un travail de qualité rendant hommage tant à DCS, qu aux pilotes réels et virtuels !!! Encore merci et bravo pour ces créations passionnées et de qualités inégalées !
I just watched this video and I gotta say, AMAZING JOB!!! The JTAC did a phenomenal job with calling in the fire missions, the pilots executed them flawlessly, the cinematography was stunning, and the overall communication between the pilots, command and ground was spectacular!
This was done really well. I was aircrew on AWACS and this was pretty on the nose. I will say nowadays a lot of the comm between the JTAC and the A-10 would be mitigated by Link-16/SADL. This is outstanding work!!
Un grand grand bravo JP pour ce nouveau projet qui pose les standards.... Superbe travail sur le script et sur les voiceover, un régal ! Merci de nous donner la chance de participer sur tes projets !
Either you have experience as a FiSTer with JTAC cert, an actual JTAC/CC, or you have some great friends who were, because that was incredible! I think that was the first time I actually felt immersed beyond just the regular enjoyment of a short film. Amazing film editing, music at just the right volume, the voice overs were very believable, just incredible!
I just found your channel today and I must say that your videos are the best DCS videos on UA-cam without a doubt. 10/10. You've got a talent for this my friend. Keep it up
By the time the A10 pilots finished their conversations, all friendlies would be dead and the enemy gone home for tea and cake. I hope this kind of snail pace response doesn't happen in real life combat.
Fry 100g guanciale, add 350g pasta to the pan & swirl in the fat, add thick mix of 100g pecorino, 4 eggs(+1yolk for rich flavour), ton of pepper, pasta water take off heat, stir, serve fresh
I love this why? Well it captures well the streets these pilots have to go Thur knowing that down there the more longer it takes the more of them get trauma and the fact that you know it’s over that was captured well!
Single best short movie i've seen in a while. Shots were amazing. So were the comms. I was really pulled into it. You're in a league of your own. Congratz!
Wow. Phenomenal. I've been planning something like this for a few months now too, and I can onlly hope to come close to this quality. Simply amazing, friend.
Air Force Ammo Troop here 1993-1992 stationed Osan Air Base 1986, Davis Monthan A.F..B. A-10 Training Wing, OIF 2004 -2005 Camp Anaconda and 2009. loved the video. A-10 Ammo for life!
I live in the entry path of a U.S. air base. The Warthogs were stationed there a few years ago, now they are gone. Never thought I'd miss the sound of the two powerful engines someday, but somehow I do. Nowadays you only hear these loud and roaring F-16 A. I think they always fly away with afterburner over our city, what is fully unnecessary and disturbing! Side note: Highlight last year was an EF making a tight turn "right above" our house during a big eurpean training! Amazing aircraft with very good air combat abilities. You are very experienced DCS-Pilots. Very good and exiting video. Keep up the good work. Perhaps a liiitle bit too much radio chatter in the video. ;)

Hi all! I'm thrilled to present my new 16 minutes short film DCS: BULLDOGS. This project took 9 months in the making and depicts a fictional CAS mission with radio coms between A-10 pilots and a JTAC. The challenge was to be as realistic as possible, so all dialogues and procedures have been overseen by a real life JTAC!! Expect to see something they don't show you everyday in Hollywood movies :)
For the third time, this new production has been made with the precious help from the Joint Task Force Francophone (JTFF). Hope you'll enjoy! Please, let me know what you think in the comments below! Thank you so much for your support, it always means a lot!!! Fly safe. Fly Metal. Greetings from France ++

Excellent video! Excellent A-10 liveries! -Sn8ke
Damn, the hard work really paid off. I hope Tom Cruise sees this, he should let you direct the next Top Gun :D

Former Hog pilot here with my stamp of approval. Makes me miss the good old days!
Greatest ground troop defender of all-time! I so love the A-10! Best. Combat. Aircraft. EVAR!!!
To much talking. You got them? In the pop, cleared hot.
So cool! Is the radio chatter fairly realistic?
