Thank you for all your kind words of support and encouragement. Zach and I are so grateful! We recently set up a Patreon where we post early releases to videos, behind the scenes content and connect with you guys on a closer level 😊Heres the link: www.patreon.com/teulutribe
Just incredible - I must have missed you guys, I also bought my boat last April and was on the hook around Falmouth all last summer... Honestly got quite emotional when you got that call saying the boat was yours :) proper happy for the both of you - you deserve everything you get :) P.s - See you in the Carribean :)
“Haven’t stopped smiling since you stepped aboard” … the exact words that sealed the deal when I found my boat too! Love what you guys are doing and pumped to see other young people doing the same thing as me!
Found your channel watching a couple of your more recent videos - but this one is my favourite. You made your own luck and deserve the life you get to live now! Even though life will continue to throw challenges your way (like your broken engine), you'll continue to get through them, of that I have no doubt. Such a lovely and genuine couple.
Congrats, well done and YES, your real adventures start now, you look like a couple who will be able to handle the ups as well as the rough times. Enjoy it as best you can. Fair winds.
Can relate to this heavily! Me and my gf have just bought a van to convert after dreaming of escape all through uni and lockdown. We have worked our socks off too and cannot wait to start living again:) will be watching!
That’s fantastic news. So pleased for you both. I know exactly the emotions you went though during the process. I drove 10 hours to Aberdeen 2 weeks ago to look for one and it wasn’t that great, so my search continues.😓 wishing you the best of luck for the future. And can’t wait to watch more of your journey ❤️
Ouch, just reading that made my gut wrench for you. But, then again, I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason so, (just like us on our search), if it was meant to be, it would have worked. It just wasn’t the right one for you. Good luck on your search and I have my fingers crossed an even better one will come up soon! ☺️⛵️
This is what I am saving for as well. I have no knowledge but I am working to repair and maintain boat maintenance and am striving for a 35-38ft boat myself. I want the world and I want my dream. This gives so much inspiration and hope. I wish you the best and hope to see you one day on the open waters
Much congratulations to you both on purchasing a great Blue water boat. Hope to see you both soon as I sell my damn native plant nursery. All the Very Best! Jim Rodgers
I came across one of your videos the other day and so I watched a few more. Now of course I had to go back to the start and am working my way through this dream of yours and mine. Good on you for making your dreams a reality. Can't wait to watch your journey.
Well done guys, as am accomplished sailor and yacht owner I have sailed all over the world over the last 40 years or so. however i'm not being negative when i say that buying the boat is the easy part, getting a day skipper ticket is pretty much the second easy part as it is an RYA standard ticket. Experience is now what you need long before you hit the high seas. Learn navigation and pilot/tidal charts etc and also get a VHF licence. Its a terrific dream and something you will love but please put safety first even when you think nothing could possibly go wrong. I wish you well and am more than happy to give you help and advice where needed.
Thanks for your comment Ady. Our priorities are safety and experience. We are staying put in the UK in order to get experience and get the boat to where we would feel confident crossing the channel. We are doing our VHF course and license soon and are not rushing anything. It’s just not worth it- we want to survive to be able to share with you all on here after all! 😉 Joking aside, we both have backgrounds in surfing and whitewater kayaking so have experience of how unrelentless the ocean (and water) can be, so will only leave here when we feel 110% confident to do so. Thankyou for your offer of help though, it’s really appreciated ☺️
Snooooze...yawn.......I have 18k miles of single handed ocean crossing experience. yeah there is a bit to pick up but if you are trying to 'get ready' you never will....Just get out there, the learning will come. Your major learning will come from EXPERIENCE.
@Post Toasty Sorry, just seen this! It got swept up in the depths of youtube. Need a few more tools, will revise more charts before we go anywhere. Need to completely learn how to anchor- we don't want to be in a marina after this contract is up. Will read the three books- thanks for the recommendations! Some people on here have told us we will be ready in 6 months, some a month, others 2 years!! We want to be safe but also, we want to get out there and sail and live and learn on route (within reason of course). Once the boat is sea-worthy, we will be letting go of the lines and learning hard, but are so excited for it. We are both still working for now- we enjoy chatting to people too much to stop at the moment but one day when we set sail, maybe youtube will be our income. Thanks for your help! 😊
Of all the videos i view about boats and the people in/with it, this by far catches my attention that much,,, i love the whole story how this boat life came to life,,, i can reflect much,,, best of luck to you both,,,
just watched you for the first time. cant wait to see what you get up to in and around swansea. hopefully your getting some good sailing in with this lovely weather we have here
I just stumbled upon your video and was hooked within 5 minutes. You both are so likable and so deserving! Many things in life can only be hard with hard work, determination, kindness, prayer and hope. I wish you both the best in your future endeavors and look forward to seeing it happen. Bon Voyage!
so pleased for you both you totally deserve it.I am no sea goer myself but cant wait to see you enjoy life on the waves..........be it up and down whatever the weather............amazing times ahead.
You have begun one of the longest apprenticeships ever. Please tell us when you stop learning. What a great video and I look forward to many, many more.
I don’t think we will ever stop learning 🤪 already in a few days we have learnt an incredible amount. Thanks for the support Gordon, there’s lots more coming so you shall not be disappointed!
Glad your channel just popped up. Well done to you finding what appears to be an amazing boat. Hope to catch a boat tour soon. Best of luck and may see you on the water…. Andy UK
You guys are so lucky to have each other! I pursue the same dream but I'm just at the beginning of that journey and this gave me so much confidence that it's doable. Congratulation!
That was just so incredibly watchable, and a brilliant documentary of your journey. Congratulations you two, and we are really looking forward to joining you on YOUR BOAT this weekend 😊👍🏼
Well this is just a beautiful video :) We sold our house and moved into an RV and we are hoping someday to make the jump to a sailboat. Thank you very much for sharing this story with all of us.

Hello from the PNW, My friend Tim (who is also a friend of yours, or maybe a friend of your parents??), anyway, he put me on to your channel . Becka darn, you made a grown man cry. You two are so "real" an honest on your video (I hope that never changes). I am going to go binge watching No.118 and more. Than I will have to go back to No.1. I think you have chosen an excellent blue water boat. I think I would have kept the surfboard. ;-) Congratulation, ten months later.
Awesome videos and an awesome channel. I just had to subscribe your videos reminded me of the time I lived on a yacht in Spain between 1992 and 1995 best time of my life (Probably because it got me out of going to school for 3 years) Although I was schooled on the boat and I ended up going to a Spanish school for a while. Thank you for bringing back the good memories of having dolphins swim around the boat. And the not so good ones like wen we radioed in for a weather report after sailing down the coast for a few day had our engine brake down and had no wind to find out we had a force 10 gale heading for us and had the Spanish navy come tow us in so we could fix our engine. Going to have to watch all your videos and look forward to the videos you post going forward. Yacht life is great
Thanks Chris. There’s lots more journey to come! The initial plan is get experience in the UK for a bit then head to the med but if there’s one thing a lot of people have told us is with sailing, plans often change a lot so who knows really where we will go! 😅
I've been watching living on board sailing videos for quite a few years now and always get a kick out of seeing newbies starting out! Hi guys!!! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I'm looking forward in tagging along on your New Adventure. Good Luck and Fair Winds!!
Absolutely delighted to hear this news, you've both worked so hard to achieve this goal. Such an emotional video with a great end result, looking forward to following your adventures as I'm sure are many others. Fair winds.
Thankyou so much! We did work really, really hard and it’s nice we can now enjoy it! (Although lots more hard work to come 🤣) excited to be able to share this journey with you ☺️
Congrats you two. Sub'd and following your channel now. Both of my daughters are in uni and I've been telling them to buy a boat to live on as it's cheaper than renting a flat (long term). What was your budget when you were boat-shopping, or what did you pay for your boat (so I can show my daughters some real-life budgeting)?
Thanks so much Erik. Yes, they really should- i guess at university, it's nice to share a house with other students but afterwards they really should! And they should come moor up next to us 😆 There are tonnes of different sizes and boats for all budgets online- the older ones seem cheaper but make sure they don't have a tonne of problems as will cost more in the long run. Feel free to email me or message on instagram and i will talk about it more 😊
We weren’t either- we were looking for a boat specifically without teak decks 😄 but, these have lots of teak left on them still and are in really good condition. We are redoing the screws/plugs/caulking this week and next and then it will be as good as new ☺️
My first time watching you guys and when U found the ketch and "fell in love" with it I actually had a tear in my eye. At your ages you are on a wonderful experiential life - stay strong - new subscriber :)
This is the best feeling video I have seen for such a long time! Don’t tell anyone, but I might have had a tear in my eye at one point 🙈 Now to subscribe and continue the journey 😊
This made me cry!!! I'm still a student (in Japan)and hoping to go on an adventure with a boat someday too. Just have subscribed, can't wait to see more videos that you two have made.
Thankyou Matt for your lovely comment! It felt a far fetched dream at many points but if this process has taught us anything, it’s don’t give up on your dreams- because they might just happen!
Congratulations guys I'll be following your adventures as of today, The positives always out weigh the negatives, stick with your dreams no matter how difficult.
Great video and nice to see all the ups and downs of actually finding and buying a boat. Looking forward to watching more of your new lives on the boat and your travels. Good luck for the future and happy sailing!!
Just found your channel, we are hooked! Brought back memories of when we found our floating home 10 years ago. You know it's the right boat when you find it❤⚓
Cheers and congratulations guys! Thank you so much for letting us into your lives and all the time you take to produce the videos! Your editing is very well done!!
Hey guys, just found ya! I'm always looking for a new sailing adventure. Looks like I found one!! Just subbed & started watch your past adventures. Congratulations on you new floating home. Really looking forward to watch the two of you sailing on the Big Beautiful Ocean!!!
Thanks so much for your lovely comment! We have a LOT of adventuring coming so hopefully you will not regret subscribing! We cannot WAIT to get out and see the world on this boat!! 🌎🌎
First episode of yours I have watched and I watch four or five sailing channels on UA-cam and you might think to cry on video is a negative and I guess it could get out of hand but you handled it or edited it perfectly and because of your inspiring joy, aspirations and perseverance, you both exhibit, I just have to add your channel of dreams to my repertoire. Thank you for sharing.your experience.. Oh Oh.. here is a quote I made up a few weeks ago that helps me.. 'Life is an adventure ...so LIVE IT !!"

Congratulations! I wish you all the best :)
Thanks Mariusz 😊
